It's a simple command that just starts the installation of downloaded updates. Which is what the issue people are having. Windows 10 was downloaded but no notification to install it. A lot simpler and a lot less risk than editing the Registry at any rate.
*\ohelp?

I'm surely not the only person whose update hasn't popped yet right?
edit: Lets see my post gets ignored by everybody who already has win 10.
Ok, maybe I'm dumb, where do downloaded games and apps from the app store download to? There doesn't appear to be an easy "My apps" section of the store.

Still waiting myself.
So with Windows 10 upgrade, you can't do a clean install? I updated my Windows 8.1 Pro to 10 Pro and downloaded the ISO. Decided to reformat my PC since it was feeling slow and it doesn't accept my CD key, so I have to instal Windows 8.1 again and then upgrade to 10?
Full instructions are at the linkFor the Free Upgrade: Have You Upgraded and Activated Your Windows 10 System?
If you want to perform a clean install of WIndows 10 and haven’t upgraded to Windows 10 yet on your Windows 7 or 8.1 PC, you have some extra work to do. You’ll need to take advantage of Microsoft’s upgrade offer before performing a clean install. (Obviously, if you have a PC that came with Windows 10 or you’ve purchased your own Windows 10 license, this isn’t necessary.)
When you upgrade a Windows 7 or 8.1 system to Windows 10, the installer confirms that you have a “genuine Windows” system installed and activates your computer for use with Windows 10. Note that you don’t actually get a Windows 10 product key — instead, your computer’s hardware is registered with Microsoft’s servers. When you install Windows 10 on that PC again in the future, it will check in with Microsoft’s servers, confirm it’s installed on a registered PC, and automatically activate itself.

I wonder if Word and Excel 2007 works on Windows 10? Will there be any trouble?
Those programs are important to me daily.
I really don't appreciate their hardware-based approach. Works fine for prebuilts, but even if it only ties to motherboard and/or CPU it's potentially a nightmare for builders. Any info on how that will work with upgrades?
You can do a refresh in Windows 10 that will wipe and reinstall. Go to the update and recovery section in the control panel, the refresh option is in there
I am also still waiting. Just look at it this way, maybe we'll save ourselves a few updates lol
So, how well does this work?

lol please be real.
If I install Windows 10 on my HDD, can I transfer it to an SSD when I get one? Or would I have to buy a new copy?

Yes, it's called disk cloning
Okay, good. It probably sounds stupid, but I've never done it before; is it a relatively simple process?Yes, it's called disk cloning
Don't you only get 1 activation? I haven't even started the upgrade process yet, so I don't know exactly how they're handling things.use the windows 10 ISO to reinstall it onto your SSD. when you get it.
Ahahahaha amazing
Love fast startup. PC boots up twice as quickly.
Everytime I shut the lid on my laptop windows crashes and powers off my laptop.
DRIVE_STATE_POWER_FAILURE
Is the error code

Windows 10 startup to me is the slowest.
Maybe a clean install will fix this.
Drama much?
I couldn't install it last night.
Tried Media Creation Kit.
"Something happened - Something happened"
Next I tried the wuauclt.exe trick with Windows Update. It worked - it downloaded the files.
Then I get an error message.

Installed this on my dell venue 8 pro and it seems some of dell's drivers still don't support windows 10 yet. My wifi driver is listed as some generic sdio and stopped working after intital restart, and my bluetooth seems very buggy.

If you formatted or replaced your hard drive, you won't be able to use a product key to update to Windows 10. You'll need to install your previous version of Windows, then reinstall Windows 10.
Up and running last night using the MS tool.
Still no Cortana in Canada...sigh
Mapping Task View to the middle mouse button makes things awesome.
Changing "Zee" to "Zed" and adding 'eh?' to the end of every sentence takes more time and money than you realize.
I'm Canadian too, eh?
