Is your gamertag a bunch of ????s ?
Try rebooting your phone if you haven't already.

Sync an episode to your phone.
Subscribe the podcast on your phone.

Music downloads accessible in Canadian Zune Marketplace; release imminent? This purchase may sound silly to those in the United States but for us Canadians its pretty huge. The CRTC (Canadian Radio-Television Telecommunications Commission) has strict policies that has apparently until now kept Microsoft at bay. I have actually been in contact with a lovely lady at the CRTC who has curtly informed me that the rules and restrictions are in place to protect Canadian identity.
Regardless, it seems as if Microsoft has finally gone through the proper channels, cut through the red tape and decided to start competing in a country other than the United States. The fact that a purchase was actually made means that Zune music Marketplace is undoubtedly coming to Canada. Exact timelines are still unknown, but it is coming.

I have it, it's a good phone and yes, the price is good. Mango runs very well on it, battery life is good (1500 mAh, baby) and it has physical buttons, which is a plus. So unless you want a front facing camera or a gyroscope, you should get it.kharma45 said:Hey guys, managed to smash my Nexus One's screen last night so in the market for a new phone.
Had a look at the LG Optimus 7 (can get it for around £160 brand new), any of you own it? Worth going for at that price, or better to hold off for second gen hardware?
Cheers for any input!
Weird. The only issues I had with Mango, were some spontaneous reboots. Never got that again after the hard reset last week.snoopeasystreet said:A really weird thing happened to me yesterday. I went to charge my LG Optimus 7 and when it switched itself on the device reset and I lost everything. I thought this was a bit of an inconvenience but didn't really mind cause I'm in the developer beta. Once I went through the steps and put stuff back on the device, it worked fine. It was fairly late at this time, so I left it on coffee table and went to bed.
Now, I've got up this morning and neither the back button or the windows buttons are working. All other buttons are fine. Not sure what to do now. I sent a support ticket into MS in hopes that they know something about it.

NoDo renders pictures in 16 bit color depth, because Silverlight 3 has performance problems with 32 bit. This is fixed in the upcoming Mango update, that brings Silverlight 4 support, which fixed this issue.Miyahon said:I'm not sure if it's an IE issue but the browser has horrible compression issues and pictures are pixelated and colors are off.
Is it just the phone I have, an HTC Arrive, or are all of them like this?
I noticed it when I wanted to save a background that looks great when viewed on my computer but on the phone looks horrible.

A related question. Is this system wide or just in IE?
1) Internet Explorer 9 Mobile now supports color dithering. So theres no more banding seen in images.
2) Color Dithering is now applied through-out the OS so theres no more banding on the Lock-screen images, Bing daily images, Music+Video hub background image and Picture hub background image.
3) Improved color dithering in the Zune video player (and also enable for the MediaElement control)
You could wait till the new hardware comes out before making your choice.Sec0nd said:Alright you guys, I'm really torn between getting the Samsung Omnia 7 or the Galaxy S2.
I don't really like Android but love the look of WP7 but the Galaxy seems to be the much better phone. Is it worth turning down a 8 MP camera and larger and better screen for a 4 MP camera and worse screen for a better looking UI?
Complex Shadow said:You could wait till the new hardware comes out before making your choice.
Then you don't want my opinion. I am biased toward WP7.Sec0nd said:I don't think that's an option really. For one I really need a smart phone as I still rocking an ancient Nokia phone. And the fact that I live in the Netherlands. WP7 came about 1-1.5 years after it was released in the US and we've only still got 3 phones available. So I doubt the new hardware will be released here anytime soon.
