Mind telling me what the error is?The Shift said:And update the phone too. Zune still hasn't worked for me since a few weeks before the mango update. Windows is up to date, have uninstalled and cleaned Zune out of the registry, temp files, the whole works many times over now. Apparently .Net is the culprit(this particular error also affects other first and thirdparty software on Windows) and Microsoft has no idea how to fix this particular issue. The only option left is a clean install but then I have to sit for three days and rebuild a music production workstation and that might not fix the problem itself. So I have had to settle with a phone that I cannot use features provided like music/pictures etc. and can't have updates.
Fucking sucks.

I hope they make an equivalent of Windows Mobile Device Center for stuff like updates, backups, maintenance, and whatnot. Just a small program not bogged down with music and vids, but could be used for fast sync. The Shift said:And update the phone too. I find it funny how reviewers never mention skydrive.Abooie said:It's a truly terrible blinkered review but reading his article history it seems he has an affinity for the iPhone.
The review is an embarrassment, read the views of one of the editors in the comments after people trashed the review.Abooie said:It's a truly terrible blinkered review but reading his article history it seems he has an affinity for the iPhone.

Leaning toward the Titan right now, unless it ends up just being too big. Might just get a Focus S if it's not available though, need a new phone. I'm using a WM6.5 Samsung Jack my sister-in-law gave me right now...

Probably one of the worst if not the worst tech review I've read from a major publication.
Just finished reading the comments. Pretty funny.JaggedSac said:Yeah, the comments section has brought me some entertainment.

- You'll need a Windows Live ID (it can be different from your Windows Phone Live ID)
- Purchase an "unlock token". Cost is $9.00 via PayPal and is good for infinite unlocks per single phone.
- Download and install an unlocking too, which is similar to the official AppHub registration one
- Your phone will be placed in a queue to be unlocked and that's it!

antiquegamer said:You don't need it but if you like to tinker with your phone beyond what Microsoft allow on Marketplace app. I just want to get it so I can run Accent Changer and Samsung Registry editor. May be somewhere down the line line I might think about doing some app for my personal used.
edit: I got the token but apparently the unlock tool is off-line currently while they fix some bugs.

antiquegamer said:Yeah, I am sure it's lock to your device that you unlock. So if you are planning to upgrade your phone soon, I would hold off. But then again... it's $9.00
antiquegamer said:You can run "backdoor" unlock to sideload app.

Even if you bought a phone outright for cheap (say, $300), the $9 is 0.03% of the total price you're paying. Not really that much to be honestPSGames said:I'm the type that upgrades phones all the time so this could get quite expensive. :-/
And from what I'm reading int he comments of the article this doesn't even allow for Accent Changer or any Registry hacks like Tethering so what's the point of this tool?
The point is to sideload homebrew applications that wouldn't get through the marketplace certification process and this will probably allow some deeper tinkering.PSGames said:I'm the type that upgrades phones all the time so this could get quite expensive. :-/

Nokia Lumia 800 tops the sales charts in France
http://www.wpcentral.com/nokia-lumia-800-tops-sales-charts-france
Even before their marketing team has had a chance to start working in the country, the Nokia Lumia 800 is already topping sales charts in Phonehouse.Fr in France. As you can see from the image above, the brand new Nokia WP7 device is trouncing on Android and iOS devices alike, making it the first WP7 device to do so well in the country since... ever.
It's a great sign to the potential future of the relationship between WP7 and Nokia, and shows how a good name, great design and good timing can go a long way towards the success of a device. Now we wait to see how well it performs once that marketing push starts to happen in the country; from the looks of things in the early stages of the race, the Lumia 800 should do quite splendidly.

I don't like this pattern at all. Why would they do this ?!?NotTarts said:So most of the Focus Flash reviews are complaining about the low storage space and lack of microSD support for expandable memory. Seems to be a pattern across the devices.
