I haven't even seen Cagliostro beyond the first five minutes, and I'll probably watch this. Based on what little I've actually seen of Monkey Punch's work (an episode of Cinderella Boy and too much of Musashi Gun) I can't actually stand his sense of humour or anything, but the key visuals are just too good to pass up.
Plus, I think it's airing in NTV's general audience late night anime slot on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, and I think Saya Yamamoto's an interesting choice of director, so I'm hopeful that this will be an interesting spin on the Lupin ethos. Even with the crazy nudity.

Lemon and Kanna are definitely my favorite characters. Kanna is so fucking HNNNG when she's drunk

I like Lemon because she's a particular kind of subtly sadistic character that I happen to find hilarious and interesting, like Tamami from Mahoraba. That little thing at the end was a bit to-the-point for a harem series and I liked that.
The BGM music is also fun and gives the whole show a kind of spacey not-quite-normal feel to it. This is a joy to watch.

It was the gift Geass kept giving. Maybe it will work for BRS? But BRS doesn't seem very fabulous. I guess I'll know when I actually watch it.

Didnt expect that revelation, of all people Tsubaki, perfect. Cant wait to see how their relations improve in the future, or if they truly stay the same. Ending moments with the Sket Dance and passing in the hallway was amazing as well as their discussion in front of the fence at the bonfire

Yeah. It's weird. I grew up watching this program that showed scenes from Takeshi's Castle and Za Gaman, so I always thought Japanese people enjoyed suffering, but maybe they don't. It's really a shame.

I feel as tho this series is a failure - from the standpoint of it being dubbed and such. dont get me wrong - this is fucking Lupin its gonna be great. but crunchyroll will just want its fucking grubby hands and its just gonna end up be a mess in the end. SIGH sadly on this one.
This makes no sense. Why would it be a failure just because its being shown on Crunchyroll?
Also, since when has Crunchyroll become a villain?
I think the show has a bigger chance of not being dubbed based on the fact that it's a Lupin III series than whether or not Crunchyroll simulcasts it.

I don't know. A show being on Crunchyroll has never stopped it from being licensed for disc release from other companies.
I think it's far too early to tell. We don't know if Crunchyroll is going to license the show for streaming yet, and if the show is successful enough to get a physical release there's still a chance it will be dubbed.
Given that Funimation has a history of licensing Lupin properties it's entirely possible that they'll license it for streaming - and they even dubbed Kuragehime, of all things.

The preview for the next episode looks really exciting, whoever is making these previews deserves an award for managing to fit all the action of the episode into a 30 second clip! Well, even it isn't as action-packed as the previews would lead one to believe, this is still the best new show of the season.
Space pirate moe is best moe.
Well, in keeping with the previous arc, the resolution to the space battle was handled well
and without a fight as Princess Usagi invokes her authority to keep the peace. It will be interesting to see how the various political factions of Serenity will play out in future episodes, since even though there's fighting between them, they all obey the royal family
