Has live action shows based on anime always been a thang?
It seems only recently-ish that I've started catching sight of them.
They've always been around. You just haven't noticed.

its a pointless arc
but it has some funny stuff still
Inu X Boku 9
Yeah, that was really :cajun. Some classy fanservice in there too.
I just wasn't able to withstand. Anime and television in general are absolutely terrible at creating natural-soundingthe announcer constantly repeating everything that was occurring on screen, and this was no exception.sports commentary
I like older anime a lot. I can hnnng at almost any era.
Cute is cute be it appearance or action.
But as said before, if something is good enough, I do not require it.

I think Gunbuster is pretty damn good.
They're both six episodes, so it's a pretty low investment of time to watch both.
Or you can go with that:
Repeat ad nauseam. There's also some End of the World shenanigans that nobody gives a fuck about. God tier episode.#ican'tbelieveiamfappingtothis
eh
the commentary by the spectators etc in Ippo actually adds to it

Not saying there aren't exceptions. A lot of it is just too literal and colorless, though. It's probably worse in anime that aren't actually sports genre but for whatever reason have some gimmick episode that takes place in a stadium/arena/etc. likein OP and that awful relay race episode of Idolm@ster.Davy Back Fight
Wasn't there a musical? The music was tight.I would love to see a live action adaptation of Utena.
Still, even if it wasn't at the same level as the TV or OVA series, it was a solid note for the franchise to go out on.

now with the worst girl outta the way we can finally start the haruka arc. you know what that means!!

Needs more When, Where, Who, Which to make the duel not dull . At least the Phoenix Wright musical had fun choreography.
I was actually slightly hopeful before this, so this was way worse than I expected.
Look at all that hardcore sci-fi mecha action. Truly the Evangelion of our generation.
New Dusk Maiden PV
They're really making this look darker than it is. It's just a simple ghost moe romantic comedy with some occasional seriousness.

Pretty standard "foreigners misunderstand everything about their new culture" story. The comedy bits worked while the expository portions felt... expository. I would definitely watch a spin-off of Kiss' misadventures in Kamogawa as long as they kept the stupid invasion plot on the sidelines.

Not even acknowledging Flash huh? haha
Also I kind of enjoyed the music for 005 Conspiracy, the tracks were used fairly well within the context of the OVA. Though in retrospect I don't like it as much as I implied from my original post on 005 Conspiracy.
I left off on 7. Sadly a few other shows have been prioritized over this. Which is strange.

Do it for the hnngggghh
Do it for wan and maru
Also Mugi I guess
and Space Tiger's hips
yea but stillI deserve this, but fuck you anyway for rubbing it in! You know, I felt pretty good about my description of the show at that time lol. I think I jinxed it cause after that its been 2-3 episodes without any mecha. I enjoy the comedy though so w.e.
Yeah butthat kid looks fairly old, you know she get pregnant just after highschool lol
I take it you are watching BRS, then?
Heck no!
One Piece 3-6
I don't have a whole lot to say. It's competent, but nothing really stands out so far, with the exception of the lovely storybook-like background art. The OP contains the only notable animation (but it is really nice animation), and the direction is average to a bit above average. We're still in the character introduction stage, so the story is low-scale and the villains not particularly compelling.
Curiously Luffy's interactions with the dog in episode 6 did more to endear him to me than his own backstory. I had found him bordering on annoying up until then. I note that Shigeyasu Yamauchi directed this episode; while it's nowhere near the quality of his later work, it is a notch above the earlier episodes and fairly effective.
Yes, amazingly terrible shows are quite the rare flower.

That's not really the same Dirty Pair, from what I understand.
There were a couple moments with effective sound direction, but the music itself didn't work.
Heck no!
Well, I don't know if I'd call them flowers...
boooooooooooooooohate to burst your bubble butit's an 8 year timeskip. no teen pregnancy for us
Did the dog being voiced blatantly by a human annoy you also?
I dunno why. Possibly the mental image of a girl barking into a microphone
BRS is something that needs to be experienced!Heck no!
there's always the game...boooooooooooooooo
Yeah, being in bad shows is rough.![]()
