If there is a possibility that the entire boxset will cost you $5000 then there is something horribly horribly wrong.
Haha, those are out-of-print premium collector's prices though.
The set was only a $1000 back when it came out.

(It's just two boxes, not three. Then the movies came out individually later.)

Kyon's explanation of Yuki's motives is her getting tired of Haruhi.

For some reason I thought Endless Eight came after Disappearance, then I realized the novels stories are all out of order.

It also explains why it repeats 8 times in the season, because they needed to delay the timeline so they wouldn't be forced to do Disappearance during the series proper

Consider that the R1 uncut subbed Pioneer DVD set together costs over $500 used and over $800 new. Im not surprised that the bluray version is exponentially more valuable.

Lucky :(

I had to import the R1 Pioneer DVDs USED at roughly $35 per disc (not including postage) because the asshats in Contender decided to troll the UK plebeians by only releasing Cardcaptors over here.

Just look at this, it's like something you'd get free with a magazine;

Mugen no Ai full version is pretty interesting especially the ending two minutes, though funny.

Kokuhaku is nice instrumental, and Kimi no Shinwa keeps going, nice.

Hm, I like Harukaze too. (tears everytime I hear it since its the last bleach op, just two more episodes)

Oh right, I was going to get around to this.

Usagi Drop 11 - END

My mom came by and watched this episode over my shoulder. She liked it, which was nice.

This episode was a nice little summation of everything that happened so far, and what it represented. Some of the parenting stuff came off as a little obvious, given how much had already been said to that point on the subject.

Still, it was as good an episode as ever. All the stuff with loose teeth and jump rope was very cute and easy to understand. It's easy to be nostalgic about it.

I really enjoyed this series. It's cute without being pandering, dramatic without being melodramatic, realistic without being boring. When I watch anime, I'm so used to caricature and absurdism, even in shows with grounded settings. Usagi Drop is really different. It's not perfectly representational of life, but most of the situations are things that anyone might encounter, and the characters react much more like real people than one would expect from anime. And while the overall message was obvious (parenting is awesome!), each character's particular situation is handled with a lot of nuance.

I'm very sorry I didn't watch this sooner. It might be my favorite show of my "season".
Yeah, as someone who also watched this pretty recently, I also thought I should have watched it sooner. Most of my compliments were pretty similar. Glad to have finally got around to watching this anime though.

Omfg I was cringing so hard for the first 7 minutes of Ano Natsu 10 that I had to turn it off. Shit fucking sucked.

Edit: Okay finished the rest somehow (Thankfully it got a lot better!)
A roller coaster of emotions, but everything that happened was pretty average romance fluff. I was hoping it would deviate a little bit, because taking the safest path every time pisses me off.

Vampire Princess Miyu - 25

It's funny because in the previous episode, the death flags were raised then right at the start of this episode it starts off cutting through the bullshit and telling it straight.

For the life of me I don't understand what made me a naive optomist for the end (wasn't expecting a good end per se, just not an as depressing end), clearly I hadn't been watching Vampire Princess Miyu for the last 24 episodes.

No that wasn't it.. all the romance/comedy stuff they were trying to do was so painfully embarrassing that I couldn't help but constantly cringe. I'd have liked it if they kept the
ichikaxkaito
stuff relatively normal but they overdid it too much for my liking.

Yeah I know. Cliche and boring as hell, but she's beautiful and not super high maintenance.

If we're talking actual human women, then either

Funny how they look identical when you put them side by side like that. I guess I just like short hair and glasses.

Short hair with glasses works. It works very very well.
Even better with cat ears :3

Ah, I can understnd those sentiments, it also goes a ways to understanding why most of these type of shows would have had resolved all this stuff in the last episode.

Does Kanna wear glasses at any point in Ano Natsu? because she totally should.

I can't remember that, but as a substitute she does do cat ear drunken meido.

Thats a nice set. I'm pretty happy with the DVDs. I can't see worth a shit anyway.
It's pretty amazing how fast the prices skyrocket when things go out of print. That's what keeps me buying.

Gundam Age 22

Epic episode
Flit actually got involved in the Age 1 and even Desil too, so glad their fight still extends to another gen. I hope Desil beats him in the future.

Asemu really needs to step it up, Commander Zehearto is just too advanced for him and Age-2. Or I guess hes not up to par to handle Age-2 to its fullest.

For mobile suits, Khronos is my favorite followed by Zeydra and then then Zedas R (only in flight). Gen 2 really favors the Vegans.

Looks like me being an optimist paid off, that wasn't so bad if I distort practically everything that happens in the episode.

Daily Lives of Literary Girl ep 10
One thing good about this show is how they break the fourth wall, tadakuni being commented and he try to sound abnormal in the sponsor credits. And how they always followed up on the previous events.

Oh man, this episode is gooood. Tons of Literary girl and she has a crush on Hidenori,Hidenori is a ladies man. Did they purposely time the mochi eating skit with Gintama on the same week?

If Madoka is the Evangelion of magical girl shows then Heartcatch is the Gurren Lagann.

I don't even understand what this means.

I don't know about Spain but here in Latin America we dubbed the original Japanese OPs for Dragon Ball.

Oh god, the horror....THE HORROR!

This was always a joke among my friends. Even as children we knew it was terrible.

Daily lives of High School Boys 1-9

Really entertaining series, glad I chose this as my first series to watch from the winter season. Although there are some misses on the skits, especially the high school girls, but for the most part there have been a lot of hits and I really can't get enough of the student council and literary girl. =)

My roommates showed me just this tiny scene and it sold me on Ano Natsu.
Drunk Kanna with cat ears is, I'm pretty sure, one of the greatest creations in anime history. I have to keep watching though to verify this.

Much less annoying to watch than episode one was. Still seems like some students bizarre art project than something that would be on TV though.

So a kid detective (sound familiar?) who also happens to be the greatest detective EVER! Is tasked with finding out who is responsible for the recent string of famous female kidnappings. Well, that doesn’t exactly light any fire for me; it seems pretty standard for a detective story. Still, I figure I’ll give it a shot.

(2 min in)…. You had me at flying Egyptian alligator headed men!

Overall, the art was not impressive (Tezuka-esque), the plot was very standard, and the mystery was not all that interesting. The show seems to fit as a predecessor to Detective Conan, it’s interesting, but little more than that.

If you are a fan of detective stories then you will probably enjoy it. The OVA sadly does not live up to it's amazing title.

Lit Gurl! Lit Gurl everywheeere. Or should I say..
Yassan? Ugh. Nevermind, "Lit Girl" is a better name.

More anime could use a plethora of vicious, rabid, terrible teenage girls like Yanagin, Lit. Girl and Ringo.

And again, as always, Karasawa is the freakin' man.
