Working 2 ep 6

The side characters, the managers juniors are hilarious, my favorite characters in this are always these side characters. Otherwise, kind of a dull episode like the others.

Penguindrum 6

I enjoy all the plot stuff that Kanba gets. The epic slingshot unnamed woman is awesome.
Wish I knew what her motive is, or why she is only focusing on him
Hopefully Shouma gets involved in these things.
Why does he have to be with Ringo, surely the animators arent Shouma x Ringo fans...

Tiger & Bunny 23-24

This arc is pretty epic. Believing in others and just the entire plot and character interactions. Powerful episode 24 makes me push off 25,
If Kotetsu is dead, my tears, that was just sad even after that touching scene of the two making up just before and giving all their might to fight the robot.

Nichijou 19

All Go-Soccer skits are awesome and this one the match between the teacher and the pro go soccer player and the other dude was like no other. Skit with the bad luck was hilarious too.

Steins Gate 23-End

Overall Id give it a must buy when dubbed or something, or just a 7/10. The ending was just pretty standard and only hindered by a lack of creativity in the source material. I guess after having such a creative and interesting plot the previous 22 episodes they just ran out of a creative idea, or tried to force in too much? That being said everything was a nice ride and one of the more gripping shows Ive seen, it takes a lot for something lacking all of the traditional anime action I like to get me hooked.

On the episode itself
I guess after being desensitized to Mayuri's constant deaths it was just hard to grasp the same for Christina though it was a nice type of resolve with the Okarin communicating across time to himself for a interesting plan. All twists were just predictable.

Ill miss Hacking to the Gate.

The Light of El Cantare
not really sure why would find it slow, within the first episode the strawhats have run with wiper, meet knight of the sky,get fined for not paying the old gate woman and meet conis ,by the third or fourth they get separated with the arc kicking off in semi full gear in the next two episodes.

Visually wise it’s really great(don’t know what your talking about there) you have the sea of white clouds nami surfing on her waver with lots of different weird sky creatures , sky island town, fairy vearth which is made of a dense jungle with cloud rivers running through it, Aztec like ancient ruin and a great big bean stock in the center in the multilayer land

It’s a lot more interesting then alabasta and beautiful

I don't deny that the beginning and ending of Skypiea are really great, but I just couldn't get excited by
the string of underling battles that comprises most of the middle
.
Enel's underlings are probably some of the most forgettable in the series, and while the battles themselves are competent, the reasons to be emotionally invested in Skypiea don't really make themselves fully apparent until late in the arc with the Montblanc Norland flashbacks and the Strawhats finally reaching Enel. Even though Arabasta and Skypiea are both arcs that start with Luffy meddling in affairs that he knows nothing about and fighting on a gut feeling of injustice, Arabasta was the dramatic culmination of Luffy's encounters with Baroque Works and so to me it had a greater sense of tension and high stakes.

Visually it's down to personal preference, I just preferred Arabasta's deserts and cities to Skypiea's jungles and clouds. The extreme isolation of Skypiea in the OP world just added to the sense that everything was occurring in a bubble and had little impact on the outside world.

Lots of fun awaits you with all these shows.

Teaser trailer for The Life of Guskou Budori, an upcoming film adaptation of a story by Kenji Miyazawa (Gauche the Cellist, Night on the Galactic Railroad) from director Gisaburo Sugii (Touch, Night on the Galactic Railroad) and Tezuka Productions.

My Neighbor has never seen Yu Yu Hakusho. I plan on remedying that tomorrow with my Blu-ray versions.

I of course meant hate on you for the ending and score if it wasn't noticed. I think people here generally liked the ending. The only thing truly bad about the show were the first couple of episodes.

Wait...What? I had no idea there was another adaptation of Miyazawa's works in the making. And even better, it's being done by Sugii!

Where is Icarus? I need to share this hype.

This kind of makes me think of a mix of Haibane Renmei and Alien 9. I'm really not sure what to think of it. It seems to be incorporating a lot of genres with stuff like drama, slice of life, sci-fi, magical girl, action, and horror. The tone also has that "off" somber feeling where you can kind of feel depressing stuff is coming, but you aren't positive.

Will have to watch more because right now this could go either way.

Clearing away all this anime before playing Graces F...

Brave 10 ep 10

Decent, I think the plot hit its climax the past three episodes really. This just couldnt compare in response.
Hanzo back, really, decent.
Kind of going to be dissatisfied if there is no season 2.

and we love him for it

Sunrise has done tons of bad mecha before. Zegapain and Fafner to name two.

Zegapain wouldn't have been so bad if they didn't glow with neon colors. And if they weren't terribad CG.

The Xenoglossia designs were just fine, I don't know where that image came from but they don't look like that in the show.

Kemonozume 8

So breasts are A-OK, but a penis? No way. (NSFW, spoilers)

Besides the distracting censorship, this was a return to form. Visually I really liked the point-of-view shots that illustrated the experience of being tied up and the breakdown of a mecha. The style of action, focused on dramatic key frames, makes good use of limited animation. Narratively it drove home the point that the Kifukken are becoming more like the Flesh Eaters they despise.
Events really do seem to be setting up Toshihiko to perform the Kemonozume with Yuka's arms and have a climactic showdown with the deranged Kazuma in a reenactment of what happened to their father.

Hey Tadakuni got a scene! The chase scene was pretty hilarious, in general I thought this episode was one of the better ones.

Thats an interesting way to describe it. I started watching this long ago but never finished.
I kind of want to track down some older series like Gatekeepers and Dual! For my collection too.

What are other shows that people hate that have a really good OP/ED?
I don't hate it, but Nichijou is fine fit for a show that I think couldn't be less funny but I (tried) to keep watching for the OP/ED. After seeing the second OP though, it wasn't that hard to drop it.

Sorry Nichijou fans.

G Gundam 23

Well now, Domon finally loses it then finds serenity enough to unlock the Shining Gundam's true super mode so he can finally stand toe to toe with Master Asia! By toe to toe I mean beat the hell out of him.
Slightly boring start with a fantastic finish. This sort of execution I'd imagine more in a series finale than a midseason episode.

Shin Mazinger Z 13

Shiro ep delivers if only for the Violence Jack nods and Kouji calling out the narrator.

Heartcatch Precure 1

Willing to give this a shot but if I end up disliking it, I'll never be able to trust the following again:
Code:
regulus
negator

First episode was pretty great though so shouldn't be any issues.

Violinist of Hamelin 1

This series is off to a charming start as I enjoy this type of setting. I'll glad the soundtrack delivers thus far given the naming conventions and whatnot. Also that's a big violin. I was warned the animation was cheap (or non-existent) but that doesn't translate into anything obnoxious thus far.

Sailor Moon R 1

Same music but a new OP? Heck yeah. Artemis hitting on Luna? Hell yeah. If this is more of the same from the previous series, I'll probably blow through this too.
Naru a victim again? Fucking hell.
I'm glad Luna noticed at least.

Back to business. Poor Usagi.

I would have been better if the AKB mango about a guy cross dressing and joining a junior AKB group was adapted.

That will never happen since that manga is shoujo and this one is for people living in their mothers' basements. They can't have a guy getting near their precious idols.

We can only hope that the deluge of quality shows in Spring will drown out the crap that AKB will bring.

Calling it now.
AKB48 will be most watched Spring show. All but a couple will drop Apollon out of boredom.
Personally I love jazz so Ill probably stick with it.

I don't know what's worse, the bad the score given for this or the fact that you wanted to kickstart a BD release of this filth!
The troll review giving it 10/10 and it being a recommendation for people who like Evangelion is highly amusing.

I'm surprised AnimeGAF hasn't gotten in on this action alongside the usual School Days/Blood-C.

I actually called it EVA 0.1 when I watched it. Although that's not to say it's anywhere near that level of quality.

Kemonozume 9

What a jarring start. Without warning we are thrown into a setting that bears no relation to anything we've seen before, one without people or even manmade structures. Moreover the conversation refers back to what happened in episode 7; the events of the previous episode may as well not have even happened. This series tends towards disjointedness enough as it is; a better transition would have been appreciated.

The characters look even more angular than usual, and I wasn't especially fond of them (though the shots of Yuka towards the end were effectively emotional). The idea of the salt lake does create attractive and creative shots:

I couldn't tell what the purpose of introducing the one-off couple was at first - it felt bizarrely surreal and I got Casshern Sins vibes. Over time it became clear that their familiarity bred over a long life lived together was meant to contrast with Toshihiko and Yuka's youthful relationship and present a possible future for the two.
Of course, that future is not a pretty one. Poor Grandma.
The conversations were revealing on a character development level and I ended up enjoying this episode, as awkwardly integrated into the overarching plot as it was.

Its not shoujo its shounen.

I looked it up. You're right. Hmm... the covers looked very shoujo-y.

?

In a season with Apollon, a new show from Nakamura Kenji, a new Lupin, a new KyoAni show that looks like K-On, a new Saint Seiya, you're seriously betting on AKB?
