Noooooo!!!
I feel gutted that Taichi didn't win. Dammit, stop making him lose at karuta which is the only thing he loves :(

I like how you title it "1" in that faint hope that there might be a "2" to explain things.

I feel like I'm owed an explanation for it.

okusama wa mahou shojo 1-2
This is the anti-loli
contains loli too though :(

Grenadier 1-3
Hmm so-so, would be the nice if the swordsman actually did anything ever, I have a feeling he wont

My body did a full dry-heave as I scrolled down.
Dear lord, that is beyond repulsive. There needs to be some sort of organization that takes works away from groups that are going to abuse them. Like Child Protective Services, but for films.
There really should be. The recent decades have shown that not even the original creators of films can be trusted anymore.

Watching newcomer's speculations is the best part about Mirai Nikki. :)

Too much shit happened on this EP, and all of it was awesome.

Also, I take back what I said about Kunzite being like Akio, he's not a real pimp :c

I guess I could see how it could be alright, it doesnt seem that they said they were murdered or something. Im thinking its Moe too, I never even recall seeing her when they were in class in the initial episodes

I too thought Kunzite was fabulous. It was a mirage though. The only reason he looked awesome in the first place was because of Zoisite, who is truly the best.

Kunzite is a phony :(

The way I see it, I think its for the best to just stick with the tv show until the end and read the manga later rather than read the manga now just to see how it all ends.

Is the anime as big of a clusterfuck as the manga? Because the messy art makes it hard to follow what the hell is going on at some points.

Let's frame a serious scene featuring what is supposed to be an honest love confession that forces the protagonist to accept his own feelings with really dumb rape jokes and slapstick ecchii antics.

FUCKING BRILLIANT.

Bakemonogatari 7

Yay "cleaning up".

It's still Bakemonogatari, with five minute long conversations about pantsu, but I kinda enjoyed the vibe of it. Maybe I'm just adjusting to the tropes that confused me in the first episode, or maybe this episode generally has pretty decent forward momentum.

It looks like there's going to be another 15 seconds of action in the next episode, so that's exciting.

The action in episode 8 is pretty neat and nicely animated, if short. Overall, it's one of the better executed episodes of the show.

I'll just warn you right now: you will not like episodes 9-10. Feel free to skip them.

Or
the hero who has to overcome the hardship of a crushing defeat in order to become more powerful and gain even stronger motivation.

Kuuchuu Buranko 4

I didn't quite get the ending of this episode. So
did he just decide to step down as the third base and let the new young player take over?

I might watch them anyway, but I'll keep that advice in mind. I don't think I'm as much of a masochist as a lot of people here, at least not when it comes to anime.

The way I saw it,
they left that stuff up in the air, but he realized that he didn't have to feel threatened by the new prospect. Before, he saw him the way the media and fans saw him, and he was this scary young new ideal who would usurp him, but after that run-in following the hostess club, he saw that the kid was just as human and flawed as he was, and it wasn't a big deal.

No, you can't skip them. As... ergh as they are you must take in the entire experience,
invisible snake blowjobs
and all.

The what?

I like his stuff because its slower and deeper than many Anime movies out there.
actually kitchen sink was the wrong term to use since few of his movies had that style, but neverthe less, his later stuff is a more realistic approach to the medium.

Don't you mean "the quid quid" as per your tag?

I don't actually have a huge problem with Oshii diversifying into this weird hybrid thing. I love anime and all, but why shouldn't he explore a different way of getting his work out there? It's not as if Tachigui, for instance, was conventionally animated, so why not cellphone animanga?

That depends on whether
he's watching the blu-rays or not.

I am.

And... uh...

Hmmm.

Further circumstantial evidence that Bakemonogatari is set in a postapocalyptic wasteland:
- Kanbaru has to come up with her own nickname.
- When she's spying on Araragi and Senjougahara in their classroom, there's nobody else there.

I consider all scenes with lots of cars driving on highways to be symbolic.

Define realistic

Sky Crawelers and Musashi (which were the latest ones I have watched by him) had this emotional feel to it which depict the era they both was set in. also, I would say the Ghost in the Shell had the realsim which was defined in its own cyber-punk world.

That makes a lot of sense. I kinda thought
he will just go into coaching cause he realized he was good at teaching that kid
