Winter 2012 Anime Thread 2.22: You Can (Not) Outpost Cajunator

Penguindrum 3

I could see how this would have been one of my favorite anime of last year, if it'd hurry and get release. I love it so much and just three in, well mainly because of 1 and 2, Himari in SS mode, and Kamba and Sho.
Hilarious how Ringo is so into her own world when she was at their apartment and had no issue answering Kamba's question directly
. Oh and the character design is great, the eyes, coloring, and graphics.

Tiger & Bunny 16 & 17

Kotetsu focused episode was great. He is probably the most solid character of the series as well as his interactions.
resolution with his daughter and her NEXT abilities was a touching and great episode
. Guess the plot of this second half is finally getting rolling.

Nichijou 16

Ah another skit that made me laugh so much that I was wiping my eyes, the one with the expresso (what is a doppio) and the one immediately following it with Mio, her drawings, and cop, excellent.

Steins Gate 17/18

Both were great episodes for what they set out to do.
Touching episodes really especially Ruka, though I also liked Feyris. I like how both seemed to keep their memories after the time leap

There seems to be a fairly large number of people that are into Dirty Pair on here...

Where is the best place to start/what is the best of the work to watch?

I've had both the newly released OVA and TV seasons on my wishlist for a while, but I wasn't sure which was better. Or is there a wild card I should be made aware of?!

Daily Lives of High School Boys 6

I love the interactions between the student council bros and Ringo.

Also, I want to know more about Habara's past, preferably with massive mood whiplash.

I haven't seen the rest of the Dirty Pair material yet, but the TV series is a good place to start. The first episode sets up the premise nicely.

So gratuitous.

Wait a second... didn't the bad guy have his own vocal theme song? That shit rocked.

Hell yeah, suddenly dancing in the middle flying your ship. Awesome.

The bad guy doesnt have a vocal, but his theme song is indeed sweet. It kicks it at some particularly great moments too.

TV series is where it all starts, and it is great. Start there.

Third best character in the series and its just one episode, so excited and awesome. More lively than Takahama. It felt like they covered three fourths of volume nine. Thankfully scenes with the
marriage
were minimized while focus on the manga was emphasized. Not much of a fan of Tanto though +Natural's cover and art was great. Curious what will happen next, since theyve covered just about to where I stopped reading.

Bjergsen is the greatest midlane in the world
Oh, nice, I had been wanting to see what that was about, since it had been getting so much praise.

Is it for paying members only? It doesn't specify, leading me to believe it's up for anyone, but I might be wrong.
I'd imagine it'd be the same as all their other stuff. Free low quality streams available a week after their initial release, 720p (and 1080p upscaled) streaming day of release for subscribers.

Speaking of Bones disappointments, it's come to my attention that Towa no Quon will show in its entirety on WOWOW in a couple of days time.

I didn't make it past the first episode, I don't know if it's even worth trying to watch the rest.

Just by writing this post you've shown more interest in Towa no Quon that most people, even though you might not even watch it.

Poor BONES.

Poor BONES.

BONES totally deserves that apathy for Towa no Quon. One of the more annoyingly forgettable things I've watched.

Since it doesn't have a star indicating a premium-only release next to it on the airing schedule, it should be available for everyone.

Why the hell would Crunchyroll make an official announcement on their own forums yet fail to publish the very same information as a news article until four hours later? Such a dumb way of doing things.

Ano Hana gets much better once you treat it as a comedy and learn to laugh at all the nonsense. Episode 11 was pretty great in that regard.

This is true of many things. I suppose it's a resistant reading of the original text, but it becomes far more entertaining that way.

I want to ask people who actually like Ano Hana.

What's remotely good about it? It can't be the nonsensical story? How about unresolved plot threads? The overwrought melodrama?
It was an emotionally appealing story watching how formerly close childhood friends dealt with a shared tragedy differently and seeing their individual bouts with depression and self-identity in a poignant manner.

It's simple, really; it was a much better show than Hana Iro, and one of the best things airing that season. It wasn't by chance that it sold as well as it did.

So about that character design:

hehehe, oh well.

invisible dragon punch is a sweet attack so it's all good

GHOST GATTAI was hilarious as well. I love how everytime they combine in the show they make up a new name for the combination, lol.

Funny, I'm getting déjà vu vibes.

I'm sorry, but that didn't answer my question. I'm not even sure what the question had to do with: a) Hanasaku Iroha; or b) sales.
