are you talking about the first op for K-On!! as i kinda warmed up to that one, haven't heard the second op though. :<
The opening is the worst part of K-on season 2, poor song choice and CG, what the hell was Kyoani thinking, especially after the first season having such a nice opening. At least the rest of the show is great.
With good comedy episodes!Almost, because Nanami is ultimately a good character with a good arc.
Random callback to an anime thread from... who knows how long ago.
So you don't deny they were comedic, unlike what many do for K-ON....with comedy episodes
that's all you're getting from me tonight
Is it actually good? They'd been rumored to be doing it for god knows how long... I think first time I ever heard of it was the Summer thread 2010. They never ended making it though. Sad.
Is it actually good?
Wait, what now? Tanabe is a very acquired taste... one which I haven't quite acquired yet.
She gets :firehawk at the end at least! No :firehawk no sale?!
Yeah, I've read the one chapter of the manga. Don't really know what to think of it beyond that. Not sure. I browsed the manga once and it felt like your standard freaky Friday thing. The concept is pretty interesting though, as far as sci-fi slice of life goes, at least.
Say what? The manga is sort of like the anime with exclusively the good parts and none of the bad. Although it's missing some of the expanded character development and world-view from the anime as a result of being significantly shorter than the anime, but it's got 1 volume of story that extends past the ending of the anime.
I find that incredibly hard to believe, from what I've seen of Utena.Almost, because Nanami is ultimately a good character with a good arc.

Now watch the movie and bask in the glory that is DOES.
Preach it! I don't understand why they left stuff like that out of the anime adaption, as well as Tanabe's backstory. :\I would say the manga has a lot more character developement than the anime adaptation. The Fee arc in the second half of the manga was brilliant even without any Sci-Fi elements.
And Makoto Yukimura is maybe slow but he is a great manga artist with a love for the technical (Planetes) and historical (Vinland Saga) details , so you can buy his mangas alone for the arts.
It's a remake of the Benizakura arc, but with some improved animation and new music by DOES!The what? There's a movie? :3
I'm marathoning the series and didn't knew there were movies! What is it about?
With good comedy episodes!
Is there a legal way to watch Steins;Gate?
That looks alot like Mio to be honest.
In case anyone was wondering, that is indeed Hyouka, the next KyoAni show.
The Vision of Escaflowne 20-26 [END]

What a charming, fast-paced and all around nostalgic ride. I guess the series was originally planned to be 36 episodes long which resulted in it's very story driven nature. I said in the beginning that the characters weren't very intriguing, but I think in the end they each have a good standing in the story. Van especially-- he's really an apt hero for these types of shows. An archetype that doesn't carry the negative parts, too.
Anyway, if you're looking for a nostalgic adventure with good/pretty mech action, look no further than the The Vision of Escaflowne.
Black-haired Yui sighted
I haven't read the manga but I've never had any issues following the series with regards to what is happening on screen, its the development that is just bringing the "oh shit" to another level. Is the anime as big of a clusterfuck as the manga? Because the messy art makes it hard to follow what the hell is going on at some points.

According to Japanese site Sugoren, here are nine ways that Japanese women can instantly spot "creepy" otaku. Sugoren also collected comments and opinions from various females to draw up its list. Below are some of the women's thoughts regarding this.
1. Wearing anime t-shirts or carrying anime goods
"I imagine that his entire room is covered with cute anime stuff..." said a 20-something female.
2. Perfectly mastering dance moves otaku do at idol concerts
"While singing an idol song with friends at karaoke, this one guy broke into a perfect dance routine," said a teenage female. "It was scary."
3. Talking endless about how cute anime characters are
"The moment a guy starts talking about how cute an anime character is," said a 20-something female, "I can only think how creepy the guy is."
4. Referring to game characters as one's wife
"I recoil when I hear a guy referring to as an in-game character as 'my wife,'" said a 20-something female. "Even if the guy's cool, forget it."
5. Grinning ear-to-ear while reading a manga
"Guys that smile while cute sexy comics are the worst!" said a teenage female.
6. Talking like an anime character
"Not only is getting email that sounds like an anime character frightening," said a 20-something female, "I get so annoyed that I don't feel like replying."
7. Using creepy cute onomatopoeic words
"Even though this guy was a total hotty, he kept saying 'Nom Nom' while chewing his food and any passionate feelings I had vanished," said a teenage female.
8. Giving oneself an anime character name for a nickname
"This guy I was seeing wanted me to call him "Master" as if I were some maid," said a teenage female. "I was repulsed by what he was saying."
9. Only singing anime songs at karaoke
"I was worried when he was singing his heart out at karaoke in falsetto to a female anime song," said a 20-something female.
From a forbidden site, but I felt the content was worth posting here because, well, most of us are otaku.
While I definitely meet those qualifications online, I thankfully don't really meet these qualifications in real lifeanymore.

Gintama.
Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos
The first ~30 minutes were fucking amazing but I can't really say the same for the rest of it.The fact that some forgettable background character from the begging of the film was the one posing as Alexander for most of the movie was really stupid. That combined with the rather predictable twist of Alexander being the dude in the mask really detracted from the overall quality of the narrative. Saying that I'm glad they didn't kill off Julia given the numerous death flags she raised.
Thankfully the film for the most part was very well animated. So props to Bones for creating a FMA movie that was leagues better than the pile of shit known as Shamballa, not that that's a very hard bar to pass of course!

The serialization ended while the TV series was already airing. I guess that could explain the differences (not that there weren't differences before that).(manga spoilers)I don't know why they changed it from the manga's ending. I guess Taniguchi and/or Okouchi thought it would appeal more to Japanese people?
Guilty Crown 2
Episode 1 sucked, episode 2 isn't that much better. I'll give it points for the show of violence on unharmed and harmless hostages, but Shu is one of the worst characters I've seen in a while and makes watching this kind of an annoyance.

Fuck this world. With Chiaki Omigawa sullying this, I can't keep having faith and believing anymore. E7 AO is doomed.
If it's just the same story I think I'll pass.
