So duckroll, what was the logic in going to all the trouble of making the CGI in BRS look good when they're going to just let this happen in the real world scenes?

I know it's different studios working on the different parts, but isn't there someone overseeing the whole thing who can tell them that looks like garbage?

I forgot that Kimi to Boku II was also airing this spring. So that means Miyu Irino and Koki Uchiyama will be co-starring in two different bro-type shows simultaneously.

They're also Sora and Roxas, but that doesn't matter since there isn't a Kingdom Hearts anime. Yet.

Perfect "are you fuckin kidding me" face right there.

Anyway, ARE YOU FUCKIN KIDDING ME!? This came out of nowhere and it was awesome as hell! So much going on.
I hope Kizaki is dead for real, but there's no way :/

Spring Noitamina will be the greatest thing ever.

Tsuritama is where it's at guys. Who wants to get on the train with me?

I have more faith in Tsuritama because it's actually a original anime; and not adaptation of a girls comic.

Truth is we're all gonna be jumping between trains anyway. Until one of them crashes and burns, that is.

Bro, the first god has come back to make an anime. There will be no switching of sides with your's truly.

GAF, how terrible am I for loving Shugo Chara?

Well, from your phrasing, you know you're bad to some extent, now take that and factor in my opinion of Shugo Chara; You're unable to be saved.

Okay, what is Shugo Chara?

It looks like animeGAF hate it, so it sounds like a quality anime.

When did the dark monocle movement become so fierce?

I'm getting on all the bromance trains

Now now, there's enough for everybody.

Solune, my bro, first you were being a shipping hippie, spurning the affection of Hilda, and now you're being a train hippy. You're lucky I love you as a brother.

JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAN

I see no fault in trying to appease multiple sides. And if you enjoy them all what's the har(e)m? <3 you too. Seriously though, between Sakamichi, Space bros , Tsuritama, and Nichbros right now.... soooooooo goooooood.

Black Rock Shooter 1

Whilst I was really impressed with how good the CG looked, I unfortunately can't say the same for rather bland look "normal world" parts. This is made worse by how much better the OVA looked in this regard. As for the story, I found it fairly inane considering it's a retread of the stuff already covered in the OVA with new characters added into the mix. It'll probably start to pickup as it gets past that part and starts to focus the "real life" counterparts of those hinted at in the "other world".
The girl in the weelchair's pretty fucked up. I wonder what the hell her problem is?

lets not do that

What if those two switched staff?
then space bros would get the staff it deserved! lol
actually both shows are gonna fucking own.

I'm too afraid to look. Is it like bizzaro AnimeGAF, where everyone is like cosmicblizzard?
for the most part yeah but with terrible signatures added.

I jump to the Chihayafure-train. I love her personality sooo much.
unfortunately that train's gonna end soon and it's taking madhouse with it :(

GAF, how terrible am I for loving Shugo Chara?

Not at all.
Its cute and fun.

Cajunator would approve.

There is truth here.

Okay, what is Shugo Chara?

A magical girl show. Not anything special but watchable.
I prefer Tokyo Mew Mew.

It looks like animeGAF hate it, so it sounds like a quality anime.

Its fun. I wouldnt really say its quality.

I jump to the Chihayafure-train. I love her personality sooo much.

Welcome!

I knew that free int'l shipping was too good to be true. ;_;
They still have markup too. It's probably just best to go with HMV Japan if they have it.
Another vote for HMV ONLINE! In fact, I'd like to recommend bk1 (http://www.bk1.jp/) as well for all your needs, because they have their own, and fairly big offer on (sometimes pretty old) printed material combined with HMV ONLINE's catalog of digital disc releases, as they handle themselves the service of this products on behalf of bk1.

Finally got the opportunity to watch High School of the Dead. When the show wasn't shoving fanservice in my face, (
The AK scene with the bullets going between the breasts was simply too much
) I thought the show was fantastic.

Is there any news involving a second season?
A second season was pretty much confirmed in the credits for Drifters of the Dead, but I'm still skeptical.

Doujin Crown 15:

I'm torn. I'm ready to drop, but I've come this far so I wonder if I should finish anyway? >_>

I looked at my collection, and I actually never bothered to complete this series.
I might eventually, but it was pretty boring. Mizuho is hot as fuck though.
Stay away from Onegai Twins.

Mizuho is indeed hot as fuck, but everything else about this show is terrible. The writing is atrocious, the animation is cringe-worthy and the faux-intellect philosophy is laughable.

How she even fell in love with the main character is a question that shall be brought up again and again throughout time itself.

Shu was simply stunning. Epic attacks. Deep character development and the plot has me on the edge of my seat.
Darly should defect already, yet another episode where he seems to disagree and has some sort of feelings for the girl. My tears at Shu's death, but was so glad he recovered quickly. Hare was kind of useless, (support healer, good for the bridge scene in ep 11, but beyond that, worthless). I hope Shu can remedy relations with his friends, or at least Souta. Though I had to feel distressed for Souta, that would be painful guilt for life, hope he wont die in the future. Yahiro as well.

Hopefully next episode they take on the offensive and Inori doesnt have any harsh feelings.

The Place Promised in Our Early Days

That was...interesting. I think I liked the first part the most, and I wish they didn't focus so much on secondary characters after the first time skip.

I watched it dubbed on Netflix, and there were no translations for the interstitial text screens. Shit was maddening.

Questions:
Was the memory of her dream what she was going to lose? Why did she go into a coma in the first place? Was the whole multiverse thing just a plot device to make Sayuri's dreamworld into something "real" or was there alternate universe / timeline fuckery going on throughout the movie? Why was there so much piano music despite the prominence on violins(they're even holding them on the cover!)? Should I have made this into a numbered list instead of a block of questions?

All in all, I liked 5 Centimeters Per Second more, but I still enjoyed this. Kudos, Unknown Soldier.

1. Yes, but it was a dream where she realized she loved the MC, so it was important.
2. Because MAGICAL DREAM MULTIVERSE SUPERSTRUCTURE
3. It was something about how her subconsciousness was on the same frequency as the aforementioned multiverse dimensional rift superstructure, and for that reason she was suppressing the machine from working. Or something like that. It wasn't really that important in lieu of the character drama, as is typically the case with Shinkai works.
4. Because good violinists are fucking expensive in the kinds of bulk they'd need for a string section compared to dime-a-dozen pianists, and because piano is MUCH easier to arrange and write for.
5. Probably

I personally liked Beyond the Clouds a good bit better than 5cm/s, but 5cm/s made me want to kill myself
or preferably, everyone else
, it was just that depressing. Of course, the former's happy end warmed my heart much more than the SOUL CRUSHING that 5cm/s did with that ending. NOPE, I KNOW WE IMPLIED IT BUT THERE WAS NO HOPE FOR
THEM TO GET BACK TOGETHER
. DEAL WITH IT BITCH. qq moar, etc.

I can't figure out if this means you only sort of liked 5cm/s or absolutely despised it.

Neither can I.

I didn't like it, but I do recognize how absolutely superb the storytelling and production was. By all measures, it was a fantastic film, I just couldn't stand it.

Rinne no Lagrange 1

Okay, so
+ Maru; Wan
- the second someone gets in a spaceship/mech/whatever and there's some sort of technobabble, my eyes roll into the back of my head.

If only these two could grab eyebrows-chan from space pirates and go make an anime about eating cake, or one where they all fall in harem love with a neutered, non-threatening male lead that I can self-insert over, we'd be in business.
