But the world has a lot of problems. It definitely isn't "beautiful" in all ways. And I think that the expectation of men to be "cool" or dominant, powerful and strong. And treating them like they're less worthy, if they aren't, is another thing that makes the world a little more sad. Unfortunately, there's all sorts of things that make the world a little more sad and a little less beautiful. "Beauty" in this case, doesn't mean physical beauty, but something more similar to harmony. For instance, a world with less needless violence and meanness, is a more beautiful world.

But again, that might be a too dramatic way of describing things.

I was tempted to read a description of the series before watching this but after watching episode 1 I don't think I will. Because right now I have no clue what this is about or building up to and I like the mystery of not knowing.

Either way very intrigued by this.

You wont understand much at first but over time just about everything gets fully explained. Just keep making notes of details. Even seemingly mundane things have relevance.

Wow a :SDBurton show that actually delivers. This was a fun watch. I was going into this expecting DEEN but thankfully its fake SHAFT through and through. But there ain't nothing fake about this yuri!

True. Nadesico is able to do a lot of things really well. What about FMP's Tessa, though? I think she works because the show devotes significant time to discussing her ability to be captain.

Murrue Ramius of SEED sorta works, too, but only because she's FemBright.
