I feel obligated to say that you should watch Aria and its sequel seasons! I might even say you should prioritize it!
Hmm. On the one hand I like this redesign because it finally allows me to actually open the show details panel to update my ratings for stuff on my iPad without doing some kind of bizarre multi-tapping to trick the site into thinking I'm mouseover-ing and clicking at the same time.
On the other hand, the "increment episode count up" button isn't showing up on my iPad which is a massive efficiency drop. Thankfully this seems to be an issue for a lot of people in various browsers and the Hummingbird guys say it should be fixed soon. My only worry is that in the screenshots I've seen of the new increment arrows, the buttons look awfully small and close together, so I'm worried that when they do appear, they'll be a pain to actually tap on =/ The old arrows were pretty much the perfect size!

So i figured I see what's with this Hummingbird update and it crashed my browser. Hah. The + buttons are gone and it takes forever to load my library. Why won't anyone make a competent alternative to MAL?

I'm actually not as sour about MAL as most people here seem to be. But I'd prefer a place where I don't have to use a bunch of user scripts to do things like keep the titles in English. Unfortunately Hummingbird has never been very good.

Oh, so it's mostly about the titles? That's understandable. I prefer it that way, personally.
Also, I like having nice looking images to identify stuff on my list (this took me like several mins to do because I merely copied a custom script). Hummingbird is the one that has Avatar on it, right?

There are stories that the manga has that never got animated, but I feel like the anime is great because of its calm pacing, great music, and great characters/acting.

I like racing, and I have a question about two series.
I have both Shin Seiki GPX Cyber Formula/Future GPX Cyber Formula and Wangan Midnight in my backlog. Should I drop them, or are they worth it? I've seen all of Initial D, Redline, and no other racing anime seem to interest me.

I'm constantly amazed at how... active? Involved? The show can feel even with its limited budget and repeated animations. I suspect it has a lot to do with the soundscape and the shouting.
A fun episode. Nonon is so adorably bratty, but everyone got their chance to shine.

Nozomi bumps into real-life comedian TamuKen on the street and the Cures help him look for his trademark puppet (which has been abducted by Bunbee for no good reason whatsoever). None of the Cures recognise him (even Urara, who's in the entertainment business herself...), though considering the kind of outfit he usually wears on TV, I guess that's kind of understandable...
Oddly enough, TamuKen becomes the first civilian in the history of the Precure 5's career to actually witness them transforming and find out their secret identities. I guess real-life cameos get special allowances like that. But of course he's so grateful to them for recovering his lost item, he readily promises not to tell anyone their secret. All's well that ends well!

With this show only 11 eps and we still got Tsugumi and Marika left to make an appearance, most likely Shaft will pull a Gintama and probably jump over chapters and jumble them up considering the manga have over 60 chapters worth of fillers.

I dropped Nisekoi after 105 chapters and don't really care for it, but you're spelling Tsugumi wrong.

Weird, the Humingbird update changes the LIbrary, but the Activity Feed is the same old design.
But the incremental increase in number of episodes viewed seems to still be there for me. In fact now that it is a text box it's quicker to change.
But yeah, they need to get this update rolled across the whole site rather than one part because it's a bit of a mishmash now.

I moved over to an own excel table. It's maybe a little bit more work at the beginning because you need to add stuff like release year, studio and other stuff you want. But it's way easier to handle after a while because you don't need to deal with the shitty website designs and communities.

The anime coming out was a sign to me that the plot won't move forward any time soon, so I won't see an ending. This is the first time I've dropped it, and hopefully the last.

Ah, here's the Urara focus episode I was expecting. And to be honest, she got easily the best deal here. Whereas all the others had to share their focus episodes (Karen and Komachi had a joint one, and Rin's had plenty of focus on Nozomi, with Urara and Kurumi taking part in the battle too), Urara had this one almost entirely to herself. The other Cures did show up for the end of the Hoshiina battle, but even then they barely did anything - Urara was the only one who got a transformation sequence or used a special attack, and she spent most of the battle fighting solo.
The one other character who did get some focus here was Syrup, but that's because he's Urara's Designated Love Interest, and the two of them got plenty of sweet bonding scenes in this episode. Indeed. I avoided it for three years. It's 99% awful. There are a couple clubs with like-minded individuals, though. I'm involved in one that I quite like. Met some good people through it. We like streaming terrible anime.

Senran Kagura Burst - Hebijo Arc Review
So I finished the Hebijo girls' storyline a little past midnight this morning and I gotta say I enjoyed their story a hell of a lot more than I did the Hanzo girls'. It felt like more effort was put into the writing which in result made the dramatic elements in the game that more powerful. From start to finish you're watching bonds develop and friendships being tested which in the end lead to such an amazing payoff that shows how close these girls are with one of another. For Hanzo, we didn't really have any interactions between individuals like Katsuragi/Yagyuu nor Ikarugua/Hibari. For the most part, all the girls revolve around Asuka, which makes sense somewhat as she's the mainline character in the game), but also fails to create that tight knit family that Hebijo has in spades. For Hebijo, everyone interacted with one another and understood each other to the T (
) which made the final battle so enjoyable as
Really, really fun storyline with fun characters to use.

But then we finally get a glimpse of the Gunbuster mecha. Finally. I can't wait to see that thing in a fight. Especially after the depressing scene at the end of this episode. I really hope Noriko gets a full-on badass mode later.

Hummingbird's new layout is bugged for me any show under 10 episodes that I try to update gets replaced by an nAn and it won't let me back space it away and put in the actual number. Darn it HB you were perfect why did you change and mess it up?

Ah yes, of course we have to follow up an UraraxSyrup episode with a KarenxMilk episode.
Mushroom crone is back and up to her old tricks again, this time dragging Karen and Milk into the world of Urashima Taro. Not much focus on the actual fairytale this time, though, as it basically just served as an excuse to trap the two of them in a castle and have a giant eel Hoshiina chase them around. Not the most romantic date in the world, but hey, Karen and Milk can make it work =p
But the big development of this episode was that after numerous occasions of being separated by mushroom crone's parallel-world antics, the Cures have finally found a way to get around it, thanks to a bright idea from Nozomi and some effective letter-delivering from Syrup. Also, turns out their magical phones that they use to transform can double up as...actual phones! Who knew?

So yeah, this episode was all about Komachi and Madoka and how they inspired each other's big ambitions. Turns out both of their ambitions started out from the same event in their childhood: a thank-you letter Komachi wrote to her sister for making her some delicious sweets, which gave Madoka her appreciation for the power of sweets to make people happy, and Komachi her appreciation for the power of the written word. And Madoka still has the letter all these years later! Isn't that just adorable.

Regardless of whether or not you like Nisekoi it makes the visual work of the last season of Monogatari look Inferno Cop-esque.
Ok gaf, I started watching an anime called Fairy Tail and now I'm pretty hooked on it. Anyone got any recommendations for something similar? I just read that there is a sequel series being made that starts in April (in Japan) so I'm hoping it will get a translation. Probably one of the few recent series that's really grabbed me, though I do still need to watch the movie.
