Fuck it, I'm buying both models. I'll just not buy lunch this week to cover the cost.
It's worth it. My only fear is that they're gonna fuck me over and come out with
Star Build Freedom and Wing Zero Fenice Custom.
Just get the Fenice now and the Star Build down the line.
Duckroll thinks there's not going to be any upgrades in the near future.
I don't either but if you're giving up meals for gunpla, the Star Build can wait. dat Fenice though...
I'm not gonna go hungry. I'm just not buying lunch. I can save the money by eating peanut butter sammiches at home.

It's done. Got the Wing Fenice, the Star Build, and that thing with the yellow fins for the Star Build.
Now make sure to hold me to not buying anything again until at least March. I mean I still have Bravely Default on preorder, but nothing else. The goal is to spend less this year.

Best battle of the series. Reminded me of the Domon vs Shuffle Alliance fights in G Gundam in how it was about rivals giving it their all despite them being good friends.

I can't decide if the sex scene in Goku 2 is the classiest sex scene in anime or the cheesiest. I mean there's a fireplace and some scotch and this weird sub soft core porn music in the background and these hazy cuts and orange filter over everything and they're having sex right after Goku

I know that people like certain types of music and I particularly love symphony orchestration, but even I didnt enjoy this piece. Im not sure if its possible because it is literally painful.

Good good. I just kept in the 80'( I might have another surprise from the 80' after Maison Ikkoku) after finishing Touch and finding it pretty good. My brother is the true hero, he just powered trought the series, he would go to sleep watching it and wake up watching it, now he's rewathing Love Hina(lol) and watching Non Non Biyori.

Well youre right about that a lot of times but I can think of certain exceptions.
I havent seen the first two movies but I think the show worked well in episode format. A movie consolidating it wouldnt be quite the same and the series flows well enough to recommend watching it that way first. I cant see how a movie format improves it any.
Third movie is an entirely new storyline and apparently a controversial one.

Angel Beats still charting highly. Glad for it. Guilty Crown too as well, one of funimations best releases (dub, packaging, etc).
Goku: The Midnight Eye 2
There's a certain masculine charm to these two OVAs that I can respect. It's pretty blatantly a male power fantasy and the treatment of women is deplorable at best, but somehow, Goku: The Midnight Eye manages to nail down the feel of an 80s gritty anti hero The Punisher story, a hardboiled detective drama and the wackiness of anime and combine the three of them into a package which sells them well enough.
The animation is stellar. What's being animated is a bit weird and I'm surprised Theonik made it through since the butts were nonexistent, but the fights are pretty neat to watch and the lighting is great. It doesn't matter if Goku is fighting naked motorcycle women or flying mechanical plesiosaurs, it's well drawn to say the least.
The dub's terrible quality actually enhances the experience for a change, rather than just being notable. At the beginning of the second episode Goku faces down a Chinese business man who sounds like he's voiced by Mojo-jojo who is talking to a woman very, very clearly voiced by a man. Goku's myriad one liners are made far funnier because of the hammy way his voice actor delivers them: "I think I'll make it a policy to stay away from women from now on. But that's a policy that'll be hard to keep." "This is a fun toy. Every kid's gonna want one this Christmas."
The technology is all completely unbelievable, but it's also interesting. The space-time bullets are wacky, yes, but the use of Goku's eye to solve problems rather than just shoot lasers is appreciated. The origins of Goku's tech are never ever explained but that's okay because fuck explanations anyway. Goku doesn't have time to explain things. He's too busy and too manly running around in his leather jacket and tiny neck tie to care about that stuff.
The plot of the second act was actually the right kind of crazy, too. The twists and reveals along the way were enough to keep me entertained, and there wasn't a need for density, especially when things decided to go full blown stupid. The plot of the first episode feels much more believable, but I feel like both episodes really exemplify the best of their genre and demonstrate a worthiness to be on the List.
Ultimately I had fun with it. It was by no means the best anime ever, but it was fun, and that's more than I can say about a good deal of things I've watched.

Nobunaga the Fool 3
I think I've seen enough of this show now to determine that it's not for me. There are actually quite a few things that I like about it - everything about Nobunaga's character and Miyano Mamoru's glorious portrayal of him is great, I really like the dynamic style of his mech and his tendency to strike poses in it, and I quite enjoy Jeanne's Ranmaru persona that was properly introduced in this episode. But at the end of the day, the narrative just doesn't feel like the kind of thing I really enjoy.
I don't think this is a bad show, but I do think it is DROPPED.
