Benio is just unbeatable. Even when she's not on screen, she's still influencing the characters and twisting events that she's not directly involved in. The scene at the end was cute - and going by the title of the next episode, looks to be continuing into next week.

With this show's tinge of realisim it basically proves that with just a lil martial arts training, a nice, functional uniform, and even some tools that can be made legally, its quite easy to become batman, atleast in japan where most people arent able to shoot you.

Looking forward to your impressions from now on!

Any fans of Bravely Default here?

Anyway, about the episode. Well, it wouldn't be a romcom without misunderstandings, but of course, being this show, it makes every single thing into a misunderstanding, to humorous result.

Anything to add, Benio?

Nagi no Asukara 22

Time for another round of exposition from Uroko.
So Manaka did lose more than her Ena in her retrieval from the bottom of the sea. She also brought about the destruction of the world faster and lost the ability to love. And yet she still has that Hanazawa-type innocence about her, but it will never move beyond that. All because she sacrificed herself. That's a bit of a dick move, and also throws off the relationship chart.
I suspect there may be some way to restore it, but there are some good stakes with this. Still no answer as to why Tsumugu got cursed.

Oh, and Kill La Kill has been delayed yet again. But that's like saying the sun rises.

Was it actually animated? My experience with the Danganronpa anime is that it was pretty much all stills and recreations of scenes from the game, but without much animation.

Some things get animated. Not much, but it's mostly the characters moving around.

They definitely did add more animation to certain fan favorite characters though.

AnimeGAF, tell me about Falcom Gakuen

It's 3 minutes or so of things that may or may not ruin your experience with the characters from the Falcom games.

We talking Sacred Blacksmith levels?

Diabolik Lovers is abuse and rape fantasy porn for females. The amount of internalized self-hatred that the show requires of female viewers easily outclasses something like Blacksmith that's just average "women weak, men strawng" crap.

Black Lagoon 12
Sort of interesting that Revy puts up a facade for Rock considering it wasn't necessary to go rescue him. Awesome shootouts though

Rape fantasy for women? What? WTF?

I'm glad to see my decision to drop this show because of Benio remains justified.

The show doesn't even try to sugarcoat the fact that she's a child molester, and it's played for laughs.

Mikakunin could have been an okay show without the Benio-Mashiro dynamic, but now it's just this season's soft target for bemoaning the depravity of the industry alongside Pissing Incest Rape Ghost or whatever it was called.

I'll never understand the appeal of things like Diabolik Lovers. I actually had the same problem with Amnesia when I tried watching it. I don't have any issue with otomes in general, and there are some good ones out there, but it just feels like being mistreated is such a popular theme. I don't get it. With the point of putting yourself in the protagonists' shoes, why would anyone decide that's how they want to be "romanced"? I understand the appeal of nice art and nice seiyuus, but honestly the seiyuus they use are in high enough demand that you could simply go to other works (even simply other otomes) to enjoy them.

But the show's charm is how he is just some everyday guy who isnt even super strong or anything trying to be a hero.

There was only one part in Amnesia that was really silly and at that point, I just thought it was hilarious.

I mean there are other otome series where the heroine isn't just a plaything for the guys but I guess those aren't popular enough to get adapted or had a terrible adaptation where madp refuses to acknowledge its existence. And the ones that do, people are usually in it for the guys that remembering there's even a girl.

That's not going to go away, even when Toei's B-list villains come out of the woodwork.

Speaking of Toei, Robot Girls Z 3 tonight. So excited.

You watched Utena, you know there are many ways of transforming into a magical girl! Do you live near a really long staircase?

I'm certain that even if Utena did not SPIN, she must have SWISHED. Some manner of gyration, specifically of the hips, is necessary to a magical girl's transformation. I base this on 0% experience with the genre.

THAT'S THE POINT.

Don't worry about it. He's pretending to be a cheater to push me away because he thinks he's not good enough for me. But he didn't expect that I've seen way too many sappy anime romances where the male lead thinks he's the personification of total darkness. By the end of the month we'll confess to each other. Then comes the relationship.

At first it'll be hard as he deals with his issues. But I'll be patient. One day his abusive mother will show at his doorstep when we're cuddling as we watch some DTL anime. It'll be extremely emotional and a total turning point of the anime. Then once she leaves he starts screaming at me. I tell him I'll always love him and in his frustration he'll slap me. I'll run out the house crying. The months after that we'll both trying dating others. Corvo will be in a bunch of emotionless relationships while I'm dating his best friend, who has always loved me. One day we pass each other in the mall. We don't know what to say so we just do basic small talk. The emotions start to resurface. We can't stop thinking about each other and meet again behind our lovers' back. Then we escape the country and elope in a small Argentinian town.

It's been 2 years since then. Corvo and I live happily in a small cottage by the coast of Peru. He works as a fisher man while I stay at home and take care of our three adopted kids, all of different ethnicity so we can feel better about ourselves. Life isn't perfect, we struggle to make ends meet. He has night terrors over his family.

But somehow. Somehow we make it work. We persevere. I'm the happiest when I'm with him. Screen fades to black. Credits start rolling.

The End.

Based on the novel Push by Sapphire.

If this was a matter of escalation I'd have to yield to Woof. Too early in the morning for me to top this.

Gundam Build Fighters 14

I'm getting tired of the whole
Chairman is out to sabotage Sei/Reiji
sub-plot. I hate when sports or martial arts fiction resort to this, there are enough obstacles to overcome that are a lot more interesting without the whole cheating angle. It's so lazy and unsatisfying.

Thankfully the rest of the show is still really good, but if this continues the whole way through, I'm going to pull my hair out.
Please tell me it stops.

Well, that particular subplot doesn't exactly go away, but I think it does stop interfering with the fights from this point on.

I think Goto has better taste in women.

I don't! On the one hand Goto
has a cellphone, which he even uses as "evidence" that he has a girlfriend. On the other hand he has Mari living in his apartment and he's stripped for her on several occasions.

Hold on tight and enjoy the ride!

I suppose. I see that as common when it comes to UtaPri. Extremely popular, pretty good adaptation (imo), but Haruka has barely any merchandise and only one idol song. It's definitely all about the guys. You'd think being voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro would help, but it doesn't in this case.

The cast for Mangaka-san to Assistant-san-san to has been announced, and sadly differs from the Drama CD voice cast.

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2014-03-06/yoshitsugu-matsuoka-saori-hayami-lead-comic-artist-and-his-assistants-anime-cast

The previous Drama CD voice cast included the following main cast: Jun Fukuyama, Mamiko Noto, Haruka Tomatsu, Aki Toyosaki, and Rie Kugimiya. Eiji Miyashita and Hikaru Midorikawa voiced two minor character roles. It appears that Rie Kugimiya is the only seiyuu keeping her character role at the moment. Kind of surprised Rinna Fuwa's character is not listed, so maybe there is still hope that Aki Toyosaki will reprise her role, if I remember who voiced whom from the Drama CD?

EDIT: I guess I should also note the episodes are listed to be only 13 minutes each. Better than 2-5 minute episodes though. Hope someone licenses it or I will have to import the Drama CD to show my support.

But Yours Truly, Toma, and Shin?! And Diabolik Lovers had one of the best antagonists in the genre, when Cordelia came about. If people would give these series a try and look at what dwells beneath the surface.

Problem with Amnesia was that she was just foolish as they even said in the anime. If she only had listened. Characters had good outfits, and Recall and Zoetrope are the best op's and ed's in the nonUtaPri otomes.

I just write it off as a kind of masochism, only verbal instead of physical.

Well I cant say its handling this twist particularly badly, but it is still a out of nowhere thing but I can get use to it.
also it has the gimmick of being alot more mature with this theme so theres that.
On that note they seem to be blowing through monsters, he killed atleast 4 monsters this episode right after the twist, I still dont know where this show is heading.

Yeah, Haruka pretty much becomes a non character by season 2. Even her fluffy moments of supporting the guys gets shifted over the new guy instead, lol.

In other news, Bakumatsu Rock is getting an anime.

According to Animedia April issue, the rhythm adventure game for PSP Bakumatsu Rock will get a TV anime adaptation and is set for Summer 2014 .

Set in the final days of the Tokugawa Shogunate, the Shogunate is using the Heaven's Song to brainwash people and rule the country. Freedom fighters are "rockers" led by Sakamoto Ryoma.

I hope it is still as fabulous as the game looks with all the music.

It's said that if you know where Samumenco is headed at any point during the show, you will have gained enlightenment.
