Kizu adaptation is quite different from the rest of Monogatari. It's one arc that is fully worth both reading and watching.
Rest of it have tons of monologues and snappy dialogues which feels better suited for written medium but voice over works add an extra dimension to its effect. Visually stark backgrounds and abstraction of characters not related to its story creates an interesting atmosphere.
The lack of monologues was one thing that took me ages to get used to with Kizu. Made it feel so very different to what I am used to with *monogatari.
