find me an anime series, non hentai, maybe even non ecchi where sex does happen. No, nothing graphic, just a series where there is more than mayyybe a big hug at the end to show the guys actually do like each other.
It was ridiculous back in Tenchi Muyou already when you had Ryouko snooping around... the later cut down on her character because she was so forward. The fact shows later always gravitated to shy girl wins later also... nawww, different post.
Since then, Anime relationships have constantly dangled the carrot but none of the poor cast members ever got a bite.
So, any shows where the characters got more "lucky"?? Panty&Stocking I already know

It looks super generic to me. Like, there's not one defining feature about that mecha that tells me immediately "oh that's from Gargantia".

Great follow-up to the first episode. The show switched gears, where instead of following up strongly on the underlying mystery, there's a shift to characterization. I'm quite glad for it too, because my first impression of the characters from episode 1 had them down as kinda dull.
In fact, I disliked the character designs as they felt lacking in originality. This isn't usually a big issue for me, but the characters suffer from 'sameface' syndrome that pelts plenty of other anime too. However, as I obtain more exposure, i'm starting to warm up to them. They could use some more expressions, but i'm satisfied.
On towards other stuff:
This scene was... magnificent. The music, along with my lust for night-sky porn had me in wonder. Great stuff.

The hand-holding was a nice touch, but came out of nowhere seeing how Shun hasn't showed the slightest bit of romantic interest towards Saki until this happened.
One more comment:
At the beginning of each episode, there's flashbacks to random eras of the new world. One thing that bothers me is why they would regress to a more primitive culture. Is it about being able to control the usage of powers among the population? I hope there's a clearer explanation for it.
P.S I'm loving the ED and i'm loving the fact there's no OP even more.

The manga of tenchi muyo are not canon except the doujins made by the author of the serie.
SO yeah it's "kajishima masaki" stuff ( doujins and novels ).
Long story short , tenchi married
ryoko, ayeka and noike. ( washu & ryo-ohki are not concubines so do the math by yourself )

went afterward to visit the galaxy with a love he found that happenned to be the remnant of a ghost ( washu agreed don't bother about it )

He's not wrong. Even when Kare Kano is good, it's still ugly and extremely low budget. Half the show is shown manga style anyway.

I wouldn't call it "lucky" but Saikano approaches love quite maturely. Although Saikano also likes to rip your heart out and shit on it sometimes.

It has some of his best episodes, but I don't think this is true for the show as a whole.
I watched up to the full introduction of Frau and, up to that point, there wasn't even any of that in it - there was only the childhood friend, who was clearly far more important than any of the other female characters in that the show basically presents her as the protagonist (although, weirdly, through Kai's perspective). I can't even remember the character names unfortunately

The thing about Kare Kano is that they stopped before the best part of the manga. Soichiro is a far more interesting character than Yukino.
Edit: of course that means you are choosing from a catalogue including three works: Nadia, Eva, and Kare Kano. Not very prolific.

Well PoeticProse22 is watching From the New World and that Pet Kanojo something show(sorry I'm not watching it.) PoeticProse also posted impressions of the first episode of Tamako Market and seemed to like it enough not to drop it after only watching one episode.
Maybe PoeticProse started to think it was too much work to post impressions when it seemed like maybe no one was reading them? or perhaps he or she has just been too busy to post.
Sometimes when I'm really enjoying a show I'll watch it slowly on purpose so it resonates with me more rather than just rushing through it as quickly as possible as well.

Haha, I was just thinking about Hanasaku Iroha and I can remember reading the thread when Hanasaku Iroha was first starting to air. Before it even started I remember seeing this picture being posted which made me aware of the show:
I can remember reading yours and others impressions of the first episode and the gifs of the part with Ohana and her canned corn and people discussing about putting in a bit of water to get the last kernels out or something haha. Even this post you made detailing the Japanese behind Minko and the crazy genius behind the word "Hobiron" for those that don't speak Japanese and because Crunchyroll had strange subs or something.
There was even the two teams of Hanasaku Iroha versus AnoHana because they were a couple of the big original shows that season that had Hana in their title, haha. Even though I wasn't a member then I was always on team Hanasaku Iroha.
It seems hard to believe that the show started airing almost two years ago now. Even when different ones talk about shows like Steins;Gate or all the people recently watching The Idolm@ster. The first started airing along with Hanasaku Iroha in the spring of 2011 and the Idolm@ster in the summer. Sure it had some hiccups but I personally really liked the show. All these shows.
I loved Minko and her insanity and hobiron phrase. I don't remember Ducky's explanation of it but thats quite interesting.
As for using minakos image, well it was for a good cause.
