I'm still really enjoying this but also getting a bit impatient for when it will really start to get good... maybe watching 21 episodes over like 4 days has made me that way... The "end" of the Hunter X Hunter exam, they about to go to Killua's hometown.
Also I wish I didn't watch the other 2 OPs for Hunter X Hunter 2011, nothing wrong with the second variation but the third one.... /facepalm. Maybe there is more to it but still.... first time i've regretted watching a later OP for something I'm watching..

Episode 31. As for the "filler", it actually adds to the overall experience as it does a really great job of fleshing out the characters.

The funniest thing is that context, as Hikaru Kondo said it in an event/roundtable stream celebrating the Blu-ray Disc & DVD release for A Letter to Momo (http://live.nicovideo.jp/watch/lv108847294), and we know how that panned out, sales-wise! Not the best timing, certainly:

That Haruka Puchimas! Single has a solo version of the first ED from the show, by the way. Been stuck in my head all morning, it has.
I was getting a bit confused as to why the iM@S Namassuka Curtain Call CD released last week didn't chart, but I guess it counts as an album rather than a single. Apparently charted 7th, but I've seen no specific numbers attached to that. I guess the new Aikastu single didn't chart at all, either.

Where did you find a list of the weekly album sales already? As far as I can tell Oricon hasn't put it up yet for the 1/28-2/3, only the daily ranks.

Yeah, I've not seen a full listing anywhere, just news stories specifically referencing the sales to iM@S (which did mention sales approximating 16k, now that I actually look)
I've crawled up and down Oricon's news section, since I know they've done those sort of general reports in the past, but couldn't find anything. I'll take your word for it though.
Well, I'm just taking a few cursory google searches word for it, so I wouldn't put too much credence in it until the full list surfaces later in the week.

The list I was referencing just now was just numbers from 2ch's musicnews board, so they may or may not be accurate, but they looked legit enough. I couldn't find a single news source ever after googling for recent pages about "special curtain call" that mentioned the Imas CD's weekly rank.
The next big arc are the bomb man.

They could have done like one piece and put in clips of the movie in the op. Though departure! Second version isnt that bad.

Great episode as usual. I really like that last scene. As Brazil said, it's pretty impressive that Saori remains likable despite being as selfish and emotionally immature as she is. Even if she's not good at dealing with her problems, I was never baffled as to why she was upset or why she acted as she did. Given how often anime fucks up stuff like this (it's made Toradora much harder to watch than it should be), the show is doubly impressive.
Christianity hasn't figured prominently into the show, but it has made a note of showing Saori in a church, and here we see a more religious friend of hers. I wonder if they will expand on how his religion affects his attitude towards the transgendered. I kind of hope they don't.
I can't wait to see this play get put on.

It's largely thanks to smart directing, like in this sequence of shots. The show never tells you why Saori acts as she specifically does here (though she does confess her feelings in general later), but this series of opposing shots neatly divide her from Nitori and the rest of the group. That, combined with her expressions, tell you everything you need to know.

Guess k just barely came close to the 10k range, oh well its getting a sequel so its good. Hopefully Little Busters gets a 26 episode sequel and Magi too...people make magi seem so bad that I thought there were no fans of it, I guess not. Volume 1 cover makes it worth buying anyway.
Poor Yoshino/Mahiro, those sales.

This is one of the worst EDs I've seen in years. It's not offensive in any sense, just lazy.
Since production committees often form separately for each show it's quite difficult to estimate profitability on an apple to apple basis. It can be a little bit more than TV+Disk+Streaming. If Avex or Pony Canyon is on the committee maybe the music licencing will be cheaper. If Sony, it might be faster for to get the green-light for a multinational release. Smaller projects can involve 'middle' companies that have a bit of everything but don't bring as much capitol to the table like Broccoli.

It's mostly the song. And the execution, I guess. It comes out kinda boring except for the very end.
Chuunibyou Lite's ED was equally lazy, but it was much more entertaining.
