Huh, the weird translating telepathy answered a question I should have asked initially. Boneless Mountain is a legit creepy place too. Mechanical design is growing on me too. Ships sure look anachronistic but the the insect inspired mecha sort of fit in and their history makes a surprising amount of sense.

Watch Gurren Lagann if you haven't already. It's kind of like Aquarion, but a billion times better because it's the best anime of all time.

That is a wide range of interests. That means we can only recommend you the outlying stuff you have not experienced yet. I suggest School Days, Eiken, Boku no Pico and Natsu Yasumi! in that order.

Turn A Gundam 6

Much like the original movies, the Gundam Hammer was too raw for the first Turn A movie.

Another good ep, it gave a nice contrast between Guin's control and Dianna's apparent lack of in regards to their troops. Keith, Loran, and Fran make for some nice interaction given they're the only ones with any true perspective.

Watch Gurren Lagann if you haven't already. It's kind of like Aquarion, but a billion times better because it's the best anime of all time.

I dont think Id have TTGL > Evol. Story was a bit more compelling and memorable.

I find it hilarious that for all the garbage I've watched in terms of Gundam (Victory, SEED Destiny), I haven't watched 2 out of the 3 considered best: Turn A and 8th MS Team (Third being War In The Pocket, which should be required viewing for Gundam neophytes)

Also: Just saw the Price mecha designs some pages back and my mouth is watering. Haven't had a mecha boner this hard since SRW OG The Inspector (which, is basically mecha porn and should not be regarded as anything greater)

Classic GAINAX was on a whole other level altogether. It started a bit slow, and the early focus on Jean and Nadia betrays the true soul of this show (aka the Nautilus doing cool shit all over the place). That aspect made it hard for me to care at the beginning, but once it got going I couldn't get my ayes away.

Nadia was a very straightforward story, at least when compared to the hardcore character introspection of Evangelion or the great infusion of science into the narrative of Gunbuster. Its simplicity works in its favour, thankfully, and it shows that Hideaki Anno can tell a good old adventure tale without having to get bogged down by whatever depressing thoughts he's being consumed at the moment. I would wholeheartedly recommend it! Five out of five Nautiluses (Nautili?)

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully other's will follow in your wake!

EDIT: Also, there are mechanisms, ranging from mild (there are bosses) to severe (lawsuits), they're just either weak or considered socially unacceptable.

Which, of course, is part of the problem. Hatakari Man is clearly a reflection of society rather than a call to arms for women's rights. It doesn't condone sexist behaviour without passing some comment. It acknowledges it for what it is.
