RightStuf currently has a bargain bundle for Tenchi in Tokyo. I tried to see if the singles were the original Pioneer sets, the Geneon Signature Series sets, or a mixture of the two, but the person answering my question was unable to find out. I would really like to get this series for the price, but I would rather not have a mixture of the two singles. Guess I will have to settle with the FUNi set, but then that has the small misspelling of "Toyko" on the spine.

There's been a lot of action-y scenes in the new episodes this season. Probably a good thing they used their budget for a smaller run of episodes. Looks like Shinpachi may get a chance in the spotlight next week. He deserves some awesome time.

Well the direction is pretty over the top. Probably one of the only reasons to watch it. Honestly I don't think I remember much more about the production. Well worth watching to that point at least though.

I love that character, she's a closeted fan of the band, and appears a few times towards the end of K-ON!! too. The fact that they thought to reference that in the movie was something I appreciated, that KyoAni continuity!


The same could be said for quite a few characters, as there are a few Mio and Mugi doppelgangers running about also.

is what i'll remember of this awesome episode...i guess that 'll leave a very high character develloppmenet arc for otae and shinpachi.

And all is good ! I'm surprised they didn't spend more time arguing ( than they did ) but this was really a beautifull episode.

Man, so maybe I need to turn in my fan card, because while I enjoyed the episode, the moment they explain the ending, I couldn't help but go "this was better in Four Devas and with the actual ending of the episode, "this was better in the Benizakura arc".

Maybe it is a matter of not having enough episodes or the Courtesan arc just being so awesome, but something about this didn't quite reach god tier.

That said, I fully expect some :roymustang in the next episode. lol
