I don't think Tomino understands the difference between a 2 hour series and a 50 episodes film and a 3 episode OVA. He'll just cram whatever time he has with whatever plot he had in mind regards of how well it fits.
I like how Gundam AGE even aped that part of Char's characterization.
I'd argue it actually makes more sense I AGE. There's the tiniest attempt a setup. In CCA it's just, "oh wait, he's bad again? Alright I guess."

Jesus Christ at the Titans. Literally burning through Colonies like it ain't shit. These guys are worse than Hitler ever was. I mean the Zeons were nowhere near this bad. The Titans are definitely somewhere in the Stalin range. It's just so insanely black and white of a situation that I think it really does disservice to the show and concept at times. Oh and,

I never understand the desire to spoil yourself with something like a wiki on purpose. That's just ruining the fun of actually watching the events unfold.
I hate Manglobe for what they did to Deadman. The manga is actually somewhat decent and Manglobe just literally shat all over it. That lost any amount of respect I still had for the studio.

I hate to think you're right here but I bet you are.
My initial viewing (that I never followed up on) had me feeling Scirocco was influencing Reccoa with Newtype magic hence her not being able to remember anything on her spying mission and her falling for him after realizing she'd never get truly close to Char.

I made it through the fire, nothing can hurt me now. I defeated the final boss of Precure and this is just the bonus level.
It's going to take a Herculean effort of good characterization to ever be able to see Saki and Mai as anything other than inferior clones of Nagisa and Honoka. I mean, hell; their character design and personalities are the same, their transformation devices are the same, the mascots look the same, they have their own Marble Screw, monsters explode into tiny creatures upon defeat. Somebody please tell me that Max Heart tanked toy sales or something because I'd hate to think that two really well-developed protagonists were unceremoniously booted solely because magical girls over the age of fifteen are verboten.
So, I guess this is nature-themed, huh? What with the Great Deku Tree and the decidedly non-urban setting and the crazy humanoid plant villain and the invoking of nature spirits during attacks, it's about as conspicuously nature-y as it gets. Seasonal themes are all in the execution, so I can't comment after one episode. It was a rushed introduction, and I can only pray that the plot bullshit is kept to a minimum because we already have all of the worst staples established: there's a other-dimensional kingdom populated by critters, it's been taken over/cast into darkness by evil dudes, evil dudes are looking for a macguffin that will enable them to fully take over the kingdom fo realz. Reason number blahblahblah why Heartcatch is the best.
Flappy and Choppy have to be the worst mascot names in the history of the genre.

Actually Max Heart sold more toys than...anything up until Heartcatch, while Splash Star sold the least and forced them to reinvent themselves completely with 5. So yeah, booted.
