ANN has a new "convention guest research" survey up asking about preferences for which Japanese anime industry guests you'd most like to see at a convention. They note that "your answers will directly influence guest decisions at major US anime cons this year" and that there are many well-known people missing on this particular list, but it's as many people as they could fit, I suppose.
Oh, and even though they say "US cons", they also have a section to list which cons you would consider planning to attend this year, with some international options for the UK, AU, etc.

So, wait...how exactly did that guy absorb Stone Keeper's power and figure out the spell to bring out the power of the Prism Stones? I didn't quite understand that.
I liked the song played during the transformation sequence at the end. Lets you know shit's gettin' real in case you somehow couldn't figure it out.

actually this episode was amazing and completely loaded with reaction faces, on-model animation, the rarest of the rare COLORED LINE ART, and pretty much one of the most creative MotW fights in the entire franchise. Ai's introduction ensures that Dokidoki will never be a good series, but there's a good possibility that it will still be really really fun. If you're on the fence, catch up to this episode to see what the show is capable of.

I suddenly got the urge to watch anime again after not doing so for a few years because nothing I was interested in was coming out. I think the last recent series I watched was either Baccano or FMA: Brotherhood.
What's more recent that you might recommend? I heard Steins;Gate was pretty good. I was mildly interested in Psycho Pass but never got around to it and it seemed to get a mixed response.

You know, no one's ever done this but if they made some kind of AKB game (not unlike the PSP series but different) and then attached AKB-specials like handshake events or photo events or even an election ticket, it would sell so many WiiUs that Nintendo wouldn't know how to keep up.

Durarara!! an excellent masterpiece by the creator of baccano that fixes all of Baccano's numerous mistakes.
Maybe look into Space Battleship Yamato 2199, Accel World, K, Guilty Crown, and Tsuritama.
If you're looking for good recent stuff you ought to take a look at gaf's own Anime of the Year 2012 Results Thread. Lots of diversity and great titles on there.
Steins;Gate was pretty amazing. I'd suggest checking that out.

This had a strong start but it started to get flat around the 3rd episode. There were some weird things I didn't understand like

Steins;Gate is fantastic.
Fate/Zero and Steins;Gate are what comes to mind immediately. If you liked Baccano watch Durarara!! cuz it's by the same author. I highly suggest the former two though.
S;G is pretty good. Definitely watch the new Jojo's Bizarre Adventure anime.

In the senran-verse clothes are conceptual as far as ninja are concerned. While in battle they project them with their wills. As they are damaged in battles they lose them. There is also the ability to dispatch of their clothes all together maximising their offence and minimizing their defence.

Sometimes, watching them give the same "We won't give up!" stuff only to get their asses absolutely smashed over and over again just gets sad to watch. You know things are gonna turn out well for them, but this stuff just gets pathetic after a while. I know this is hardly the first anime to do this, but it's aggravating as hell. At some point you'd think the enemy would just dispose of them for good. Having them alive certainly didn't do them any favors. I guess the power went to their head or something, but still.
So the three baddies become one as Dark King is trying to swallow them, and continue to defy him. I don't think this is gonna end well for them. Nagisa and Honoka probably would have been swallowed as well, but Kiriya saved them. Not sure how I feel about this development. I don't know if I'm a fan.
