Winter-Spring 2014 Anime |OT3| People incapable of guilt usually do have a good time

Just add Legend of Galactic Heroes, Hajime no Ippo, Urusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku, and Ojamajo Doremi to your backlog and you'll be set for a while!

Let me at least experience the euphoria of finishing the backlog for a few minutes before recommending!!!! Now it will never be completed.

Well I added a bunch of stuff over the last few months but for the past two weeks have added almost nothing to the backlog while I have cleared at least 3-4 animes and like 5/6 games out of my backlog.

I guess you have a good time management then.
Meanwhile I'm just terrible at it. 2/3 of my day usually spent loafing around, thinking what I should do for the next 3 hours and when I'm realized it, it's already time to lunch/dinner/sleep.

You people are here talking about heat and fruits and sexism, when there's an anime hating gold mine over at gaming side.

Seeing "bare-bones fighters" was saddening. Sure you have games like Chaos Code which don't even have a record function in training mode, but SF4 and Marvel aren't the most feature-filled games either! :<

My backlog is being destroyed right now and I fear the day when I am all caught up. Hold me AnimeGAF. I'm scared.
Develop an RPG backlog if it scares you that much. For every long-ish game you could get through 3-5 anime seasons, or series that last a season.

Honestly, I don't know how humanity as a species survived before air conditioning. Sure, before the advent of modern medicine and sanitation most of us died in our 20s and 30s anyway, but I can't imagine how perpetual labor in sweltering temperatures with nothing but a rabbit skin over your junk didn't finish even the hardiest genetic specimens almost immediately. How did the Sumerians and Egyptians develop culture when it was so motherfucking hot with no relief? How did primitive humans achieve conscious self-realization instead of remaining beasts when you're being roasted in your own skin every second of your life? It's kind of amazing.

Well before air conditioning they didn't live in super-insulated houses that could only retain heat, but yeah, I certainly much prefer living in the age of ice magic.

Oh, I actually got through that one!

Well maybe not the last OVA, but that's like the left over sauce on a plate after a large dinner.
2 of those games were FFXHD and KH1HD. :O
Man, if you got through them once I sort of feel like that's probably more like adding to your collection for the sake of having it. Not that KH1 didn't immediately go into my backlog and FFX will suffer the same fat, but I got stuff like Planescape Torment and a few Atelier games I want to get through eventually. And that's just the tip of the ice berg.

Well when unless it's an extreme heat wave, you could get accustomed to high temperature easily in one week to shrugged it off.

RPG backlog will be the bane of existence of your free time.

Going through the backlog slowly. This was one of the few older romance anime that was on the list. It's surprisingly competently directed and I'm really liking the music pieces used so far. Most of them were jazz? based and helped establish a special kind of atmosphere during these few episodes.

I have heard bad things about this before, generally about the characters and how bad they are and the usual complaints about plot progression in a romcom. So the one thing that really pushed me to watch this is an old post of flawfuls mentioning how the story at one point shifted gears and got better. Of course I have no idea if the anime even covers the entire story or if it will do the same, but I certainly hope it does end up being good. Although I'm having doubts that maybe i should have just went with Maison Ikkoku instead.
Don't worry, it's like a billion episodes.

Doesn't mean much when dealing with air temperature and humidity that's murderous regardless.

In seriousness, people just dealt with shit because they didn't even have a better option to conceive of. We're just spoiled and weak in comparison!

The OVA actually has continuity between the TV show and the 4th movie if not the 5th.
Well, I mean that recent OVA made just before Inu Yasha's final animated arc, though that was an adaption of a manga chapter so I guess it counts for what you said. I watched the rest of the OVAs before the 5th movie (and watched the 6th movie before that too, but that was... yeah.)

Heat literally makes me feel like I'm going to go insane so I can't even imagine actually acclimating. I mean, even if you're born into it, how is it not destructively taxing on the human body if you're continually exposed to it?

Granted, I'm just asking this stuff rhetorically. Obviously people survive, it just boggles my mind that they actually can.

Man, they sure do enjoy meddling in other people's lives, don't they?

I think it's the greatest thing ever that Ginji always introduces himself as "I'm Sasami's dad, Kawai Ginji!" And then he always does awesome things. Maybe Tsunami chose Sasami because through him she has magic/awesome genes inside of her. And yeah, he totally knows Sasami is Pretty Sammy. Probably knew from the beginning.

I think it's just a matter that our bodies have been conditioned to be in comfort and ideal temperature conditions.

Well, I believe they're born to adapt to it because they were given birth by people who are resistant to such heat.

Another way is being black, as we're capable of absorbing heat pretty well.

Honest question from a very sheltered, very white person: do you feel like your extra melanin actually keeps you cooler in direct sunlight? My skin feels like it's burning if it's, like, over 90 degrees out.

This is one terrible character design. Not that any of the others are good, but the busyness of the outfit and the weird raptor-like face pushes it over the top.

So fussy with an overabundance of frills and accessories. She also. Speaks. Like. This. You know?

The episode itself is really subdued and bland. A list of things that happened would be more exciting than actually watching them unfold. Character introductions feel stiff and unnatural; there isn't much exposition, but what there is of it feels slotted in, never feeling like a logical progression in whatever conversation they're having.

And the opening hurt my ears. 9/10, mediocre.

I wear a jacket in 90 degree heat. Also jeans. I just like to do that.
