They love the console more than PC.
I wonder if it has anything to do with the Galaxy client / GoG servers. IIRC, they have crashed every patch update thus far.

1.07 is live everywhere except PC
Still getting random crashes in this game. Not sure if its the Nvidia driver causing it, or the driver crash is just a side effect of the game crashing.
The only OC I have going is a really modest OC of my 2500K @ 4.0 Ghz. When I got crashes while figuring out my OC initially, crashes due to an unstable cpu OC always ended up in a blue screen. I'm assuming the game crashing probably wouldn't be due to my cpu OC then?
Game runs super well otherwise. I'm at 1080p with everything on Ultra except Hairworks off and Foliage Visibility on High and I get a mostly locked 60fps. 970 handles it well, just the random crashes are really annoying.

It was pretty clear on the moment they've decided to postpone the release of PC patch until the certification end on consoles.
The game is really sensitive to GPU overclocks, not sure if CPU overclock effects the game but my i5 2500k seems fine at 4.4Ghz. I can't play the game at all with my GPU overclocked though even a very small overclock kills the game, it just crashes every 5 minutes.
I have a MSI GTX 760 Twin Frozr Gaming Edition (excellent overclocker) but this game hates even the smallest of overclocks. Is your GPU factory overclocked? I have seen people report that crashing the game and they have to under clock their card to get it to work.
Hopefully 1.07 helps this issue.
Can you explain why PC is waiting for consoles with this patch? You really believe that?

Its an EVGA GTA 970 SSC, so yes it is factory OC'ed. I've never messed with GPU overclocking though so I'm reluctant to mess with it...

It is supposed to hit sometime today according to https://twitter.com/Marcin360/status/622088434279170048
That tweet was posted around noon EST, so technically they could release it tomorrow morning and still be comfortably in that range.

Me too. The Nameless quest glitched and now I can't move forward with the story. Shame they haven't released the patch yet.So the PC patch is no out yet?
Expected to step back into the game tonight?

Performance seems the same or maybe slightly better to me. The stuttering that occurs when panning with the camera with a mouse seems to be a little better??
How do I get Gog to DL the new patch?
With the new patch the framerate seems to be locked at 60 fps max??? I have VSync disabled and a 144hz GSync monitor but can never go above 60 fps for some reason.

Did you set the option for Unlimited FPS? The patch reset most of my settings and I had to take it off too.
Check your in-game settings. The patch reset all mine.
Anyone figure out what the best quality/performance is for Hairworks with patch 1.07? A few options now, not really sure what "High" and "Low" do. Still not sure I like hairworks better than the default hair.
Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure you're good as long as you don't unequip any of those armor pieces post-patch.
Pretty much. It let me use my higher level armor I had on before the patch though. It was when I unequipped it that i couldn't reequip it so I could have kept using it if I never took my armor off hahaso let me get this straight, if we were using the superior feline armor set at level 26, we now have to remove the set and then either hope that we have a backup set or craft the enhanced set again?
I've only had my 970 for a few days...is there a recommended driver to use right now for Witcher 3? I tried the W3 game ready drivers, and the latest hotfix drivers. I actually went back to the W3 drivers after experiencing some artifacts in the game, but it turned out to be my overclock. I'm still testing things, it was working fine in other games, but W3 seems to be more sensitive about it. I guess it does push the GPU damn hard.
You should be able to turn up textures, detail level, background characters and water quality up to Ultra at least. Turn shadows down to medium(no real difference to High or even Ultra).Having just got a 970 after a 670, running the game at mostly 60fps certainly feels weird lol.
I knocked everything back to High and get mostly solid 60 with some dips into high 50's. Feels good man.
[Sorry for the crosspost, I just realized that this is the right thread for this]
Been playing with the options a bit after installing 1.07.
I have no difference at all with hairworks on and off, and maxed out. But I seem unable to reach steady 60fps as I was able to before the 1.07... they stay at 45-50, with peaks here and there.
Even lowering a bit other options didn't change in a perceptible manner. Only exception was the foliage distance (from ultra to high) which had quite a noticeable impact. Got an i7 and a GTX970, using FRAPS to monitor them.
Does anyone have any non-obvious tip on how to raise my fps count to 60?
There is something wrong with the camera/sensitivity; it feels like input lag or increased mouse sensitivity. Combined with fps drops, that new camera thing is making the game nearly unplayable for me (it is similar to having high frame-timing, input lag and mouse acceleration at the same time).
