Yeah those can only be fixed with higher resolution and INI tweaks for shadow quality and scaling.
Just curious, have you had any crashes with your Titan X SLI setup?

Anyone else getting "display driver stopped responding and has recovered" crashes since downloading the latest Nvidia drivers?
Same system, same experience.
Shame Hairworks is still a 15FPS killer on larger enemies -.Fiend battle when you return to the witches bogs down to 45FPS with everything on Ultra
I mean, I could make sacrifices elsewhere to get hairworks going at 60FPS but I don't think it's worth the trade.
Maybe once I upgrade to a 980TI with EVGA's step up program, but not for now.
I'm running a constant 45+ fps with everything in the game set to Ultra minus hairworks on a 780ti at 1080p after this patch.
To say I'm happy with this would be a big understatement.
Everyone is getting the move camera while walking forward stutter, right? People using a controller that is...
Actually i have no stuttering at all.
I only noticed stuttering while i had the previous Nvidia driver for GTA V installed. Since i installed the latest driver for Witcher 3 the stuttering was gone!
i7 4790k @ 4 - 4.4Ghz, GTX 970 G1 Gaming, 1080p, Ultra preset +Hairworks, postprocessing OFF, game is installed on a SSD (Samsung EVO 850), not sure if that makes a difference.

first 6 hours of play - 5 crashes with both monitors on, different refresh rates
next 12 hours - 0 crashes with my 2nd monitor off
could just be luck, but thats my experience.
UNPLUG SECONDARY MONITOR (IF USING MULTIPLE DIFFERENT MONITORS)
We suspect that The Witcher 3 cannot handle a situation where you have two monitors, and they have very different refresh rates. Even if this isn't the case for you, try physically unplugging your secondary monitor, and launch the game.
Dual monitor is actually (suspectedly) causing crash according to this gog support page.

I got those too. I think it was from whenWrong thread, oops. Have fun all
I just got that about 15 minutes ago.
yes happens everytime the game freezes in inventory (especially when reading books)... or does it freeze because the drivers tend to crash while you are in inventory?
Also happened twice while browsing (without a game being run in the background). So I deinstalled all nvidia drivers in safe mode (useing DDU) and reinstalled them cleanly whitouh geforc experience and other useless (to me) shenanigans. Now the drivers at least seem to work in windows (win 8.1 here). But there is something wrong with them...
If you want 60, abandon your hairworks dream.
For 30 I'd reduce foliage draw distance and shadows.
That's weird, I have the witcher 2 on Gog and witcher 3 on steam and had 0 problems with the save import.

I'm not I notice it very easily if my framerate drops from 60 to 55, and locked 30 feels like a stuttery mess to me. So pretty sure I would notice what you are talking about.
Wonder what causes it...

I am running full ultra on at 30fps locked with a 970.
I'm running game with almost perfect 60 fps on 1080p. Everything Ultra except Hairworks Off, Grass density and Foliage distance set to High (didn't saw really big difference in . All post processing On. Framelimit: Unlimited, ingame vsync off but set adaptive in nvidia control panel. I have also power management set to performance. My System: Intel i5 2500K, GTX970, 8GB RAM.
So... is there a consensus on how to lock at 30 fps ? Riva or ingame toggle? Borderless or Fullscreen ?
Most of the time, I'm playing on my 55' 1080p plasma TV screen, and I don't know why but 30 fps looks TERRIBLE on it when playing onPC.
30 fps console games look good ... What gives ?
Huh, I have 2 monitors with different resolution and Hz and I've only had the game freeze on me (but still play music) 2 times in my 26 hours with it and that seemed to be caused by borderless windowed mode.
I'm glad I'm not getting that problem.
Not sure how to do that, apparently it doesn't work with RadeonPro on DX11 or something.
No, ultra foliage + ultra shadows will brutalize your framerate.
Is it just me? How come I can't press F12 like normal to take a screenshot? I'm playing in Fullscreen Windowed mode btw.
What settings did you use?

Finished the prologue. Arriving in Velen it is up to 40 seconds to load the game after dying, on my 7200 HDD. It is really annoying, if you play 20 minutes and loading after dying again and again takes up at least 12 mins of that...
Is it faster from SSD, what are your experiences?
The stuttering everyone is getting is when you're walking forward and at the same time slowly panning the camera.
You get no stutter when you do this?
I took Project Reality as a template and modified it a little. It's the most satisfying result I've had so far. Now I'm all set to play the actual game!
I've posted the settings here:

I'm getting ~40fps on my GTX 970, the funny thing is that my specs are:
Core2Duo E6600
Asus P5B Deluxe
4GB DDR2 800Mhz
Dude...why?
I'm pretty sure my GTX 570 was being bottlenecked by my old Q6600@3.6GHz years ago. Your setup is insanely unbalanced.
Wait, you are getting it, or are not getting it?
My frame rate reads a solid 60 when I get the stutter. And yes, it is way worse if I lock the frame rate to 30.
