Dump the cop shows! Bring on the high fantasy!

Unfortunately this is just going to lead to funding more medical/first responder shows.
This is definitely what is going to happen. We're about to see 10 new shows in the next year about nurses/doctors/emt etc. They'll all mention covid in the first 10 minutes of the first episode and they'll all suck. Netflix will probably drop the first big one that everyone hops onto. It will be ultra woke and unintentionally hilarious

Rolling Stone writer says Law & Order should be cancelled because of its positive portrayal of cops as Amazon considers removing the Dukes of Hazzard because of its use of Confederate flags

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and the Dukes of Hazzard, two hugely popular American TV programs, are the latest to be drawn into controversy as result of the Black Lives Matter movement.

Rolling Stone writer EJ Dickson writes in a story published by the magazine Friday that the last version of Law & Order should be cancelled because of Olivia Benson's 'quintessential Good Cop' character.

Mariska Hargitay, 52, has starred in the role of Captain Benson on Special Victims Unit for 21 seasons on NBC.

The movement also had Amazon Prime considering dropping the Dukes of Hazzard over the show's use of Confederate flags.

The hit action and comedy show from the 1970s and 1980s about cousins Bo and Luke Duke living in rural Georgia prominently displays the flag on the roof of the program's iconic General Lee car.

Constant overreaction to remove all disagreeable concepts and images from our media is a never ending spiral that will only further the ignorance of society as well as entangle us in a paralyzed state of fear. The power of fiction, of fantasy, is their ability to detach from reality, reflecting or challenging it from new angles to provoke thought and provide cathartic release. Fiction that is solely beholden to the standards of reality is no fiction at all.

Exposure to germs helps toddlers develop a strong immune system. Society is no different. Overprotective censorship will be our undoing.
