With Sony pulling back from Single Player games

Gran Turismo and Bloodborne would've been the smartest games to make multi-plat, as they would've printed money, and for Gran Turismo just have a larger online population for competitive racing.

Even if timed exclusives, both would still print money more than pretty much everything else they ported before stopping.

Doubtful it's gonna happen, but would give Nixxes more to do.

I'm pretty sure Sony is pulling back from GAAS, not the other way around.

The pipeline is not quite cleared out, but Sony seems to be doing a 180 on GAAS, much like they are doing a 180 on exclusives.

I think OP is saying since Sony is pulling single player games from PC, could GT still make it to PC since some consider it a live service game.

I think this is the latest breakdown of their studios from Sony.

GT isn't there but MLB is.
Sony will likely be forced to start porting it to PC once Xbox (the console) is out of the market.

Good luck to Haven, Team LFG, and Bungie still being around in the next year or two.

And for at least GT they probably could have kept it full price and gotten consistent sales.

No, GT7 may be GAAS technically but Sony doesn't see it as any other GAAS game, it's the most prized exclusive and they probably view it as a tentpole single player game.

I've bought every Playstation since the PS1 exclusively for GT games and there are many millions of gamers like me out there. Sony knows this and that's probably why they've never ported it to PC even after all these years. GT is pretty much Playstation, it's THE exclusive for Sony.

Even though GT can make a lot of money being multiplat, the smarter platform move is to keep it exclusive.

Gran Turismo is an actual system seller due to its appeal to a massive audience of casual gamers. People who don't even care about gaming will buy (expensive) rigs and a PlayStation to play it. So if there's one IP that Sony would be wise to put the clamps on, Gran Turismo is at the top of the list. And with Forza (mainline) being dead, it's even more of a reason for Sony to keep GT as a console exclusive.

Bloodborne could be neat on PC, but that game is clearly wrapped in some publishing politics that make it difficult to port/remaster/remake etc. Maybe the animated movie can change some of that stuff, but as far as the game goes it seems like it's a one-and-done.

But is it a Narrative single playr game? Does Astro Bot have a narrative?
I wouldn't take that "narrative" too literally. Even though it applies to most Sony games anyway, it probably refers to all single-player games or even games with fully fleshed-out solo content.

LOLWAT? They didn't even port the multiple years old GT7 to PC, which was by far their most requested game excepting Bloodborne, likely would have been their highest selling PC game by a wide margin, and would have sold a ton of PSVR2's and PSVR PC adapters. Of fucking course they're not making GT8 multiplatform..

Its a traditional MP game much like BF6, gaas is so much different.
What? Any game that provides regular updates fits the current gaas variety perfectly.
Traditionally updates were fewer and called addons (maybe even a proper sequel), then dlc or mtx and or stuff happening in game stores. Gaas is just the new label for basically the same thing that existed almost forever, just more regular and usually with that season label.
