With the Rumours of MS going third party what platform are you going to be playing there games on from now on?

gonna just ride out this gen on series X. next gen i migrate to PS6. Done with MS and their madness. and i making sure my clique, all migrate with me. To be honest we stayed on xbox because thats where we met and formed our little clan/squad/posse/clique (we use all these terms, lol)

Not really abobut the platform or even the xclusives....Just want to know where me and my squad weill be playing halo, COD, madden etc. and its looking like PS6. in the meantime any of my PCs are more than capable of running current PS games that are available on PC, but a PC will never be my main gaming platform. I like them in my studio (and even those, im slowly phasing out for mac pros) .... I like playing the odd game i like but cant get on xbox..... But overall I have absolutely no interest in dealing with one under my living room TV. So PS6 it will be. I just hope MS continue to make xbox controllers because symetrical analogue stick layouts and buttons with shapes on them are just dumb.

Isn't most Japanese games coming to Steam also, or do you mean native Japanese editions (PSN JPN) with all text & UI in Japanese?

Such versions can be hard to get through for example an EU Steam account IIRC.

Switch games for sure aren't, and a lot of stuff I get on PS5 is also either not on PC or feels better suited for me on console.

I've gone from thinking before the gen started I would need a PlayStation and an Xbox(because of the Bethesda aquisition).....to buying neither because this gen has been shit....to now thinking if I got a PlayStation for Death Stranding 2 I might get to play Dishonored 3(if it ever happens)on it anyway......crazy stuff, lol.

Well it makes sense from a marketing perspective. You get your extra sales while also keeping your initial sales from your fan base because they might want to play it day one. Now it will depend on if MS can release a game that is worthy of a day one purchase, and that's been their problem for a few years now which is how we got into this mess.
As i said, you are being fairly optimistic.

This thing isn't like it is with Sony where they release games on PC 12-18 months later for a second wind of sales and in hopes of getting some converts. Nope... what you are saying would suggest thats the case. It isn't.

This whole thing is just another by-product. To add to the list of reactionary moves that MS has been doing since they started with the XB1 that they typically wouldn't have wanted to do. The reason we may be getting these games on PS5 is not that MS is trying to just get a second wind of sales, naaa... it's because they are trying to get sales period. They have seen that neither their hardware user base nor their subscriber base is enough to justify having their games remain exclusive to their console or service. So right now, the only way to bolster their sales long term, is to go third party.

Gamepass became a thing because they lacked the console userbase to be able tro push physical sales of 7-10M copies of a game. So they decided that rather than try and get 10M+ copies of a game sold, they would be better off getting 40-100M people paying $10/month for a game "rental" service. If they commanded the kind of sales Sony does with their hardware and in turn software sales, they would never have bothered with gamepass. Or at least it would never have been anything different from Sony's implementation of that kinda service. And if gamepass had somehow garnered over 50M+ subs over the last 6-7yrs, they would not be here now talking about going multiplat.

What you should do is think of the natural progression of events the second MS makes it official that thei rgames are also coming to PS5. There is going to be a proper decline in Xbox owners and gamepass subs. Which would make them even more dependent on PS5 releases. At that point, what sense or benmefit is there in holding a game back for even a 1 year exclusive window on the Xbox/gamepass? They can still have the game available on gamepass and release them on PS5 day 1 too.
