I hope WW continues to do well this weekend. I just checked the late IMAX3D screening for tonight and only 6 seats are reserved thus far.. in contrast I saw GoTG2 the same release day/time and it was >3/4 full for the 10pm Saturday.

In terms of hitting $100M+, is the $38M good, bad or middle?

Middle.

There aren't many good comps for the week after Memorial day. The last comic film on that date was X-Men First Class.

That film did $18M without previews on Friday, and made about $52M on the weekend without previews.

$38.9M would give Wonder Woman about $28M without previews on Friday. Same legs for Wonder Woman would be $81M + $11M previews for $91M total. WW will definitely need a better Saturday hold to hit $100M, but X-films are pretty front-loaded.

Edit: updated for actual fri estimate.

They'll announce $100M for WW tomorrow even if the actuals are more likely to come in around 98. Regardless, Wonder Woman 2 is going to have a release date set pretty quickly.

And Mummy is going to bomb hard, brehs.

Bummed about Alien: Covenant, really enjoyed it and it's easily my 3rd favorite in the series. Hopefully we get a director's cut with the 20 minutes of extra footage Scott cut from the film to hit the 2 hour mark.

Would watch a director's cut.

Its probably more like 5 or 10 minutes of extra footage tho.

People seem to be consistently hawngry for DC heroes.

Now imagine if they had actually made good movies before. Who knows what kind of box office they would've got.

MOS would be at 800M
BvS would be at 1B
SS not change

WW would be at 110-115M OW I would say if MoS/BvS/SS were good & acclaimed

I can't remember the specifics, but I remember thinking that Whedon's idea and views on Wonder Woman were pretty shitty, so I'm glad he never got to make that.
