Decided on Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D tomorrow. I will wear those stupid heart shaped glasses and tweet photographic evidence for her to see.

I'm not fishing for an avatar quote, I swear!
who cares? Most of gaf will be doing exactly the same thing.

If you go by theater percentage drop, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World is the 4th worst on that list, in a pretty shitty company -

I didn't like that film, and I think it's performing so bad not because it's horrible, but because it's seriously one of the most pointless films ever made.
It's a feel good romantic comedy where
everyone dies at the end
(I'm only putting it under spoiler because there are over-sensitive people there, seriously, if you hadn't figure that shit out from the trailer, something is wrong with you).
I don't understand what is the audience for such effort, and apparently, neither is the film going public.

Looked up the film after that.

The director and writer credits. She is friends with Diablo Cody and and Dana Fox, the writers of Juno and What Happens In Vegas. Who call their writing group Fempire

.....

Quality group they have going there.

$141M for The Amazing Spider-Man during the 6 day holiday run. $66M for the weekend. It's the most for a reboot; Batman Begins - $48.7M and X-Men - $55.1M. I think ASM2 will be back to racking usual Spidey #'s. It already has amazing word of mouth. Plus it's getting monster $$ from Asia.

Official estimate for Spidey is actually $65M. Only 44% of the gross was from 3D screens, so I guess audiences didn't care that much about the 3D.

ERC twitter is saying that Spider-man made $344M worldwide. I don't know if that is just for this weekend (including the 6-day US/Canada weekend) or total. Great if it is the weekend gross, pretty bad if it is the total gross.

Katy Perry made $7.1M

It's not really fair to include X-Men as the franchise has never had the same figures as Spidey. The Last Stand was the highest grossing and did $460m WW which TASM will blow past in the next couple of days.

This is the first weekend that TDK has made more than the Avengers at the same point in their runs (not that it matters much at this point). Avengers is still doing a fair bit better on weekdays thanks to suimmer, so their weekly totals should be similar. TDK made $11M more after this point. That should give you a ballpark estimate of the Avengers' remaining earning potential.

Snow White passed $200M overseas this weekend and is now over $350M worldwide.

Ice Age 4 is at $198M overseas so far, however I believe that is down quite a bit from the last film thanks to a weak Euro box office. I will wonder if TDKR will buck the trend of disappointing international totals that we have had post-Avengers.
