To be fair, they basically packaged 4 TV episodes together and released it in the theatres for that one
With little to no marketing at all. It was a last minute decision.

Star Wars movie ranking for me now:
ESB > ANH > TFA > RotJ > RO > Clone Wars TV Show movie > The FMV cutscenes in Dark Forces 2 > RotS > TPM > AotC
Star Wars movie ranking for me now:
ESB > ANH >> ROTJ >>> TFA = RO > RotS > TPM > AotC
A spin-off that happens to be better than TFA with a really positive word of mouth.
Any thread can be a Star Wars ranking thread if you're brave enough. How did this become a Star Wars ranking thread.

January is kind of amazing this year, in that it starts with a new Underworld film and ends with a new Resident Evil film, with a new xXx film sandwiched in there.
How did this become a Star Wars ranking thread.
Have we had an OT for it before? That sounds like fun.Seriously, with a line-up like that, I almost feel like this Fuck You, It's January deserves it's own OT.
Was Sing any good? Maybe it's my persona bias against Illumination after the oversaturation of Minions, but damn that movie looked like it was creatively bankrupt compared to Disney's recent efforts.
A Star Wars spin-off.
I notice nobody is seeing fit to include the animated Clone Wars film in their Star Wars movie rankings.
This strikes me as an egregious inclusion.
What's up with the new chart? It is jarring and difficult to decipher
wasn't it just the first three or four episodes of the show shoved together into a movie? i heard it was pretty bad too.

A Star Wars prequel beating Avengers 2.5 is pretty telling.

Is R1 beating Civil War WW? Seems unlikely?
XXX 3? You're bullshitting me right?
Is LA LA LAnd and jerk off white people film? Because it looks like a jerk off white people film.
Are you white? Have you watched the movie yet? Did you leave the theatre feeling as if you'd been satisfied sexually?Wtf does this even mean lol?
I remember pre-TFA when some GAFers were claiming Marvel has easily surpassed Star Wars and that Avengers 2 would easily beat TFA in the box office.
Regarding Rogue One, I'm more surprised at how soft the overseas gross has been than I am the fact that the film will sail past $500M domestic.
Edit: Rogue One was at $312M as of the end of Thursday overseas. TFA was at $680M at that same point in time.
Part of that has to be the very strong dollar.
What a useless post.Is LA LA LAnd and jerk off white people film? Because it looks like a jerk off white people film.
Vastly exceeded. 400-450 were the high end predictions domestically for the most part.So has Rogue One met expectations in terms of how it was going to perform?

It's a feel good movie in a down year that has catchy music and excellent visuals. It's gonna be a hit for good reason. The two white stars are great in it too.
So has Rogue One met expectations in terms of how it was going to perform?
Yeah, but SW GAF only cares about domestic grosses so, eh.
