Wolf in new Zelda = Link

isn't this what you were supposed to figure out from the tralor? (Link being the Wolf)

I mean, every zelda has it's committed gameplay mechanic -- the end of the clip is pretty obvious

I cant believe this game actually has more haters than WW had...it's like people are angry that Miyamoto is giving the fans what they wanted, i suppose some people just prefer to get shat on by developers.

Who are those "fans" you speak of? Sounds to me like these people are crybaby kids who just got to have a game to stick in their friends faces when they say "your console is teh kiddy". All because mom didn't have enough money to spend on the cooler consoles.

Oh, and I'm sure EAD was like "Hey, let's make our next Zelda game Cell shaded! The "fans" would hate it, so let's make the worst game possible, ok?"

ugh

The reason for my "hate" towards this game is because it completely lacks any of the charm from WW. A graphical step down too with the stiff animation etc. However, I've always enjoyed Zelda games and I have no reason to belive this will change that. Until I get to play it at least I get to bitch a bit about what I've seen so far.

Oho, I don't quite think it's that bad. I mean, most of the major VG webcomics did a comic specifically to voice their disgust.

MATURELDA!!

Everyone seems to be forgetting that Link was already a Furry before. He turned into "Bunny Link" when he went into the Dark World in LttP for the SNES.

Through much dilligent work and pestering the hell out of my contacts at NOJ I managed to uncover two wonderful peices of information.

First off I was sent this character concept artwork of Furry Link:

Secondly I managed to score a bit of the dialogue of a choice real-time cinema within the game:
"She's so sweet," Zelda laughed. She sat cross-legged on the sand, watching the kitten at play. The red collar bought from the old leather-merchant looked well against the kit's sandy golden fur. She flicked the black tip of her stubby tail from side to side as she hunted imaginary prey.

"I'm going to call her Prowl," Link decided. "Look how she prowls about! Here, Prowl! Come to Papa!" The young warrior held out the remainder of his dried meat, and the kit came bounding towards him at the sight of the food. He scooped her up and sat her on his lap to feed her the spiced beef; purring the kit rolled onto her back and let him stuff her mouth with food while he rubbed her round little stomach with his other hand.

"She takes after you," Zelda remarked. "You can keep putting food in, but you can never fill it up!"

Link mock-scowled at her. "Not funny, my Princess," he said, knowing what she hated above all else.

And the people compaining now are....?

I'm not complaining, I actually like the new ideas they are incorperating within the game. I have high hopes for this one and so far I haven't been dissapointed.

Are we all forgetting something?

If this game can be as good as it is, there's no reason for the next Zelda to be that bad.

::Waits for flames from haters of Crusaders of Centy::

Then they can explain it by saying link was attacked and has become a werewolf, which no doubt would fit into some local folk lore of a great hero using the curse to save the world, which link would stumble upon in an attempt to cure himself.

That sounds like the plot to
VAN HELSING!!!!!!!

Wait, people need Matt's help to realize that the chances of Link transforming are pretty high? You are officially a brain-dead moron if you couldn't have figured that out by watching the trailer.

I'm all for it. I'm sick of the same old formula over and over. If anything this will spice things up a bit.

Hell yes. Change is good. Strategy to the gameplay is even better. Zelda has become a very easy point A to B series. Zelda is falling into sequelitis and needs an RE4 style shot of originality. Gimme dragons, horses, wolves, and for the love of god.... sprint shoes sprint shoes sprint shoes! OOT and WW had barren lands with slow traveling methods throughout most of the game; at least WW had good graphics to offset it a bit and the items were entertaining enough for me to not care.

Also, if there is a WW-ish Triforce quest I will not buy this one.

woa...Link can turn into a FUCKING WOLF and people think this is anything but THE GREATEST THING IN THE WORLD????
Seriously...the more homage to LttP and MM (as opposed to OoT) the better...

This thread is hilarious for it's irony. Everyone and their mother is constantly thrashing Matt from IGN calling him a soft-cock or what have you, but when it comes time that he says something that does sound credible, everyone's all over it like a pack of flies on a pile of shit.

Personally I could care less what they do with Zelda, my dream of having a straight-up Link to the Past "sequel" will never happen so the fact remains that as long as I can play a Zelda game developed by EAD, I will be happy and satisfied regardless.

I want him to transform and stuff. I WANT newness brought to the series. If its the same as the usual Zelda fare, I hope reviwers take points off.
