In this version of Old Man Logan, Magneto, Mystique, Apocalypse and William Stryker have taken over and carved up most of the US and control their own territories.

I guess?

Eh, this can't be Jackson's last Wolverine outing because he needs to do a Wolverine x Deadpool movie.

If those two have half as much chemistry on-screen as they do in reality, it'll be a riot. Don't even give the film a plot, just have Deadpool follow Wolverine around for the day and see how many limbs be has left by the end.
Does Deadpool even age with time? I honestly don't know.

Old Man Logan is overrated garbage anyway. Just like the Civil War comic so I hope it's as loose of an interpretation of the comic as possible.

I hope they use the general premise of Logan living alone in the desert in a Mad Max-esque dystopian future... without actually adapting Millar's overrated book.

Huh. Old Man Logan is gonna be pretty hard to pull off without the rest of the Marvel Universe charcters.

As cool as the design and concept of Old Man Logan was, I could do without some of the crazier and weird parts of that story, like
inbred Hulk hicks that are the grandchildren of Hulk and She-Hulk (ew)
.

Maybe at the end of the movie Logan finally dies. Then, after the credits roll it will be revealed that Logan's mind is reborn into a new life....As Wolverine in the MCU.

Oh man that's awesome, the guys has 6 blades that pop out of his hands, the blood should be flying in these films, hopefully that's exactly what'll happen this time!

If I had to more closely adapt the comic book story, maybe have Sinister as the new Nazi leader, and have Blob or Juggernaut stand in for Hulk

Reintroduce Sabretooth

Maybe a soft-reboot of FF too, throw In relatively proper Doom?

Juggernaut as Hulk would make more sense, and yeah, Doom would be a better replacement for the Red Skull. Hawkeye can be replaced by Longshot or any other filthy mutie with a sharpshooter quirk, and the same goes for cage's daughter. Venom symbiote gets replaced by the phalanx virus or whatever.

Spider-buggy, tho.

Does Deadpool even age with time? I honestly don't know.

Most likely not. If even wolverine, with the weaker healing factor, already ages very slowly, wade should be essentially immortal.

Does it ignore all the shit X-Men and Wolverine movies since the DoPF reboot?

That's the only way I'll go to see it. As I can't be bothered to watch the 2 shitty Wolverine movies.

Seeing nearly 20 years of Wolverine portrayals and none of them depicting the hero in any variant of his legendary headgear really feels bad to me.

Given how consistently they've pulled off the head gear for every other Marvel character, not having the ICON wear his ICONIC hat even once...sigh.

I'll also always feel like either Hugh was never the right choice for Wolverine or his scripts were never sufficient. Wolverine as a character is high-strung with an extreme temper and always at the edge of roids raging. Xavier has had to - on multiple occasions - jump into Wolverine's head just to stop him from hurting team members and the general public. He was a rampaging, uncaged animal that greatly enjoyed fucking shit up. Someone who was innately intimidating in every frame he was drawn in.

But he's so chill in the movies most of the time, you'd never know. With a seeming aversion to fighting at all most of the time. Nothing like this oft unhinged, battle-salivating, no-fucks-given bloke right here.

It can't be comic book Old Man Logan cause then Pacifist Logan would do nothing all film.

I could see like he's removed himself from society but still cuts people up who mess with him.

And since they are introducing Apoc, I bet this version of Old Man Logan would see it as an alt reality where Apoc won.

So probably more Age of Apocalypse than Old Man Logan.

Please, if there is any justice in this universe, let Jackman wear some form of Wolverine's real costume in his last movie. I'm not expecting 1:1 but...come on. It's the last one, indulge us.

Old man Logan? I'd throw all my money at that. Doubt they'd go with that though. As much as I'd like to think it being R-rated means they'll go for something more out-there, I reckon they'll play it safe. At least more safe than old man Logan. That shit is way too hype for cinemas

Yeah, that's going to bug me forever. ESPECIALLY now that Deadpool is running around in the most comics-accurate suit ever.

And I agree, though I LOVE Hugh Jackman in the role, it's been twenty years and I've never seen "the Berserker Rage" that was so fascinating about the character in the films yet. He's gone violent in small spurts, but he always seems like he's in control. He can be angry, but he's never just an unstoppable rampaging tornado of rage and claws like other interpretations have shown him to be.

I could see the mask working in an Old Man Logan-themed movie. An aging Logan could have his sense diminished, and the mask could act as a means to enhance his senses (hearing, smell, sight)

It'll be weird, cause Wolverine still doesn't say "fuck" in the comics. They can do all the violence and gore now though

Comics: "Carve out your opponents' intestines with razorsharp metal claws 'til they choke in a pool of their gastrointestinal fluids, but don't say the f-word or maybe we'll lose the kids"

Logan has too much class for the f-word.

Ugh is this gonna be like wolverine in japan? That was such a bore

Listen here, bub. That's my favorite Marvel movie behind Winter Soldier. I would've liked more spinoff films with Wolverine and Yukio.

Yeah, I'll agree about the headgear. My guess is the people behind the early X-Men films felt it looked too silly in real life, and every film since has rolled with that.

While I agree that he has a noticeable lack of bloodthirst in the films, he's still been ready to throw down with anyone who looks at him the wrong way. I think his character has been partially wasted on the Jean Grey sulking, which never felt real to me.

Logan has too much class for the f-word.

Who needs an f-word or any word when those claws can do the talking.

I think the character was at his worst when written that way.

X1 ushered in a era of a more restrained Wolverine, and I think we were all better for it.

I take great pity on the people that need to decide who takes over the claws when Jackman is through...

And then the person wielding them. That poor soul.

Same. It seems best to just sidestep the entire thing and bring in Laura, but I doubt that is going to be enough.

As others have said, I don't think you need any of the marvel owned characters really. Have Dr Doom be one of the baddies, a crazed Reed Richards be another, Magneto be another and idk who the last villain would be. Then have like a child/ grandchild of Jean and Scott be the young sidekick that Logan finds and is the start of his new Xmen. Swap out Hawkeye for Johnny Storm etc

But after having read all that, it would be a pretty big undertaking so I doubt fox would do it
