I am not a soccer fan or care about it much, but my country lost 7 - 0 in their first match. I could not find a better meme than this:
They have their next game in some hours and do not expect anything more than to lose again.
It's crazy to think that they made it to the quarter finals back in 2014, I was rooting for them, they had a great run. Two games away from being in the finalI am not a soccer fan or care about it much, but my country lost 7 - 0 in their first match. I could not find a better meme than this:

Indeed, but that was because the guy behind them (coach) make them earn the "money", but what they did do to him after that? Complained he was too strict, he did not let them do what they wanted and kicked him out in disgrace, and pretty much backstabbed him. After that, this is what is left. It's crazy to think that they made it to the quarter finals back in 2014, I was rooting for them, they had a great run. Two games away from being in the final
Soccer is a physical contact sport, when you run at full speed and on top of that you have to control the ball with your legs it is very easy to lose your balance even if someone only slightly collides with you.The one thing I noticed from watching these games is the players constantly falling over. It seems like every minute one of them is rolling on the ground holding their knee after being tapped on the shoulder. I don't get it. Ain't these guys supposed to be top athletes?
Well, it is exaggerated and some teams do it worse (better?) than others. It is to put pressure against the referee. Although it is pointless now with VAR but they keep doing it anyways for some reason. The one thing I noticed from watching these games is the players constantly falling over. I believe the person you are replying to meant this:Soccer is a physical contact sport, when you run at full speed and on top of that you have to control the ball with your legs it is very easy to lose your balance even if someone only slightly collides with you.

Their defense was extremely suspect against Belgium too. They had as much of a chance to win it as lose by 3-0.Give credit where credit is due but you have to admit that Canada was really good against Belgium and at every right to win that game so it's easy to call their defense garbage but while giving Croatia credit is good it doesn't necessarily invalidate Canada.
FootballCome on Canada, teach them Croats how to play soccer
Fuck all the people who call football soccer...get a fuckin reality check...just had to vent it out...it pisses me off sorry. Its just dumb
Also rooting for spain later on for the first time, hopefully germany gets eliminated today
