Well that isn't really saying much since I'm fairly confident Ele Sham is the squishiest spec in the game right now for anything solo! Levelling my ele was a shocker since I had come from Guardian druid, which was "moonfire 10-15 mobs and AoE them down", whereas ele was "if you pull 3 better hope you have a defensive". Enh was squishy as well, but at least those instant heals helped a bit. Tried swapping to ele from resto at ~840 ilvl to do a Warden's Tower WQ quicker, and a 3 pull would absolutely wreck me as ele. Maybe it gets better with some defensive artifact traits but I can't imagine it ever becomes sturdy without Earth Ele up or something.
Mage was pretty quick for me, but I had to be more conservative with my pulls so it still felt slow. Anything would after tank levelling though, a 10 kill quest is literally one pull.

Tried out tanking on my Paladin, actually had a lot of fun with it. Seemed pretty straightforward to keep aggro. I realized this was the first time I tanked and I've been playing WoW since vanilla...
Though when I see healers getting low on HP I panick, even though I usually face them (boss' back to them)

The best part about leveling as a tank was getting aggro on every mob in a 3 mile radius and kiting it to a lone mage. I always felt like I was making their day.
Nightbane requires party members to occasionally drop to low hp as a mechanic (your debuff does your total hp as party damage). Even though I know what's happening I still freak out involuntarily.
Also, when Havoc Demon Hunters turn into their demon form their profile image mostly just looks completely dark from the corner of my eye. So I think they just died and start going into 'oh fuck gotta battle rez where is their corpse' mode.

Whenever I'm doing Suramar quests on my DH I usually get a train of DPS who burn down all the stuff I tag and pull.

Trying to decide which of my alts I'd like to make my main alt...I play a priest so I rolled a Dk and pally to 110 to try something different. I'd like to give tanking a try, but I'm not sure which is more friendly to players new to tanking. Also I really like the frost DK style and having frostmourne 2.0 is awesome, BUT pallies get ashbringer. I did try both in dungeons but ret felt underwhelming?

That Nightbane debuff... worst is when one of my DPS gets it and purposefully moves behind for a tail swipe, but I don't realize and have a moment of "oh god why is he tail swiping did I fuck up the positioning?". That fight is so brutal for healers, don't heal debuff in P1 and P3, heal debuff a lot in P2, don't disspel right away for less skeletons, pay attention to whether Nightbane has the group wide shit or tank shit, move constantly, try to DPS add in P2 to get to P3 with less stacks... So much to juggle. I ended up just telling our healer to disspel the debuff instantly and I would mini-kite the skeletons to avoid the tank debuff so that he had one less thing to keep track of. Really awesome fight though, first 5 man fight in a long while to feel challenging and rewarding for the right reasons (Tyrannical Mythic+ bosses are certainly hard, but generally for all the wrong and poorly scaling reasons).

One time, on Terrace of Endless Spring, I'd sat out of the raid due to necessity for numbers; someone else was tanking. However, I stayed in touch, and one of the tanks had to drop on Sha, so I was called in to take over.
Unfortunately, on the assumption of not being needed, I had put some pizza in the oven. And after returning from one of the side platforms for the first time, I realised it needed to come out.
So... through one sha tanking phase I cranked up the CDs, ran downstairs, served up the pizza, ran back, and took over tanking. No problem!
and with that we killed him lol. oh well, at least we can do part 2 later
As a paladin tank, don't knock the Hand of the Protector talent; being able to spot-heal others in an emergency is great (and while it's not clear from the talent, it also has a shorter cooldown than Light of the Protector). I also quite frequently use Lay On Hands on others over myself.

At the current rate I expect it will be 100k+ in NA whenever they change it to battle.net credit. I really wish the number you can buy wasn't so restricted right now.
They were 30k each as recently as early August. But you're limited to buying 36 total in a 24 month period anyway, and you can only hold 10, so there's really only so much you could have done. But if you're not capped now you should just go ahead and buy because it really doesn't seem likely they will go down again (beyond normal up and down movement during the day).
98k in my server, I know because my sub was lapsed earlier and it asked if I wanted to buy with gold >_>
We'll more than likely hit Dragon's first and just see how things go from there. Although we've just lost our best Spriest for over a month since he needs to focus on Uni and work

I've been under the impression it's overall best melee dps food (unless you are Pandaren).

Yes, useful in buying a Corgi Pup.
That or gets you that much closer to the 5k needed to buy one fo the timewalking mounts.
Especially useful if you want to get that heavenly jade serpent from MoP that's coming in 7.1.5.

I'm getting around to playing my BM hunter alt and bwuuugh, I still hate how it plays. Hati seems finicky when it comes to attacking, like it seems I gotta actually hit the attack button for him to recognize that yes, the target my primary pet is attacking, and in fact I am currently shooting, is supposed to be fought, get away from my side and get in there you dumb mutt.
Gotta get to 102 and then maybe see if MM or survival clicks for me. I don't like the idea of shelving this alt but ugh.

While leveling my Demon Hunter I really can't help but think how much better the class would have been with a ranged bow/crossbow spec. I don't think MM really fulfills the fantasy of pet-less ranged and the fact that every other ranged dps class is a caster than hunter is a real bummer.

Yea I'm definitely enjoying tanking on my Pally. It also helps that I feel Ashbringer's talent Wake to Ashes is....so fucking bad imo. Leveled my Pally from 1 - 105 in 2.5 days /played.
She's totally a dark ranger man.

Wake of Ashes goes from complete trash to one of the best Artifact Abilities in game once you get the gold trait Ashes to Ashes. Having it generate 5 Holy Power on use is so damn amazing with how Ret plays with Crusade. It is such a good gold that the current suggestion is to run straight for it first taking a bunch of trash traits, save up like 60k AP, then RESET your artifact to go back to it taking DPS increase traits. It is so good that the optimal artifact levelling path includes a reset...
But yea, prot is also fun, but can be REALLY squishy in mythic+ if played poorly, I had to heal 220k HPS to keep an 850 ilvl prot pal up on the first boss of a +2 HoV, no one else in the group was taking any damage. Make sure to use that LotP well in group content, it helps a lot!
At least the Vykrul and Odyn/Hodir/Thorm etc existed before legion... Hunter people are like "hey we totally always existed in secret and we're awesome! Join/lead our order!"
I'm still annoyed that there wasn't a secret passage under the priest class hall with an old god and people speaking in tongues. Instead I just get a dumb pointless void room. Of course, that matches up with the attention they pay to Shadow in the Priest Class Hall. Which is that there's a crazy gnome and that's it.
It's easy. Pull 3-4 mobs, do a Combustion sequence, kill everything, then wait another 90 seconds or so and repeat.
