World of Warcraft |OT9| People still play this? Isn't it from 2004

So uh I finally got my second legendary.

But I was in the wrong loot specialization.

So now I feel like I have to farm up a whole new set of relics and regem/re-enchant because I won't get another shot at a second legendary.

FML.

Finally got a legendary on my primary alt, WW monk. Its Cenedril, Reflector of Hatred, which seems pretty sweet. Increases the amount of damage Touch of Karma redirects to 200% of my health. Combine that with the artifact talent that heals you for damage redirected, this'll be sweeeet.

I've been too scared to change my loot spec this entire expansion because of this. Only thing it affects are trinkets and relics though, so guess my alt specs are gonna have to be capped at world quest level trinkets and relics that aren't shared! (They really need to separate "loot spec" and "legendary spec")

Retribution is really boring to play compared to like every other melee class.

Ret is the kind of spec that feels boring to me when levelling/practicing on dummies, but I quite like in raids/dungeons since it is simple enough that I don't mess up when my mind has other things to think about like encounter mechanics or worrying about interrupts. Now, it isn't BM hunter level braindead, that's just too simple for me, but Ret is at a solid level of interactivity for me as far as DPS goes to allow me to also perform every encounter task perfectly without negative impact to my DPS.

I'm still at the leveling phase around 70.

So I'm interested to see what it's like at max with an artifact and more talents.

What's really killing me though is the lack of some kind of charge or harpoon.

The guild defeated Heroic Xavius yesterday. Nice to have that done.

I really like the Helya fight.

Feels like an old school fight. Kinda like Illidan, where it's DPS her a bit while avoiding mechanics, then you have an intermission phase, and then she comes back with some more mechanics.

Really fun.

Fuuuck, did an 11 Vaults and a guildie got a 885 Faulty Countermeasure that he didn't want but couldn't trade.

I understand why they don't allow us to do this (coercion to trade etc) but I really wish you could set an option at the start of the run or something to allow you to trade all drops in a run. Best thing about when I ran 10M raids in Cata was the group mentality of "whatever's best for the group" with people being super cool about trading things. Many times our group has wanted to trade things but can't for some reason or another, would be nice if our Hunter didn't have to DE his 895 neck because the stats are so unbalanced.

one more world boss and I get the blue ret fire appearance... Yiss

Sorry to burst your bubble, but you need the base appearance unlocked (first slot in a row) to unlock any of the further ones, so flame appearance of any kind for Ret requires Balance of Power chain to be finished, which requires Nighthold raiding on at least normal. Confirmed to work this way by people with both +15 keystone clears and Glory of the Hero acheiv, who did not unlock the appearance without Balance of Power. BTW I think this is idiotic and hopefully the blowback next week from people getting "Unleashed Monstrosities" but not getting the appearance causes them to rethink this awful decision.

That's stupid. Balance of power isn't for weeks and weeks.

Yep. Stupid for many reasons. As I've said (mini raged about) before, it is kind of bullshit that if I manage to clear a +15 keystone apparently to blizzard I'm not worthy of the appearance unless I also trudge through BS normal mode raid clears for 20 weeks.

Guarm definitely got nerfed from last week and is pretty easy now. His unavoidable trample damage before was really dumb, based on our logs it's about 35-40% less.

Odyn is fun and easy for us but Helya was a mess because of people trying to pad meters too hard.
Have they also needed Odyn's spear in P3? It felt like it was less likely to be responsible for oneshotting a tank this time, while last time it felt like we needed a ton of space.

Didn't realize that there's a cap for prestige levels right now.

Guess I don't have to do the PVP WQs for a while anymore.

Finally got Elerethe mythic down last night. Took longer than it should have, but such is life.

Looking forward to doing mythic dragons this weekend, looks like a fun fight. Will also hopefully have my paladin to 110 by the end of the weekend, looks like I'm re-rolling to prot paladin.

You guys aren't doing Ursoc before Nightmare Dragons?

Some of our DPS is a little on the low side, but I've just been checking wowprogress and it looks like everyone does Ursoc as third boss, so actually we'll probably try for that. We'll see :D

Yea it's def not right, my third alt takes longer than my second, and my fourth alt takes the same time as my third. My second alt takes the least amount of time (currently at AK 14)

You know you can just run when he shoots into the air bypassing that mechanic completely.

That's a little besides the point for my question as I'm just curious how the game would handle that situation. Guess it would count as character being stuck and you'd have to report a ticket?

But I had issues running from it when I was still too weak to beat that guy before he did the attack. I would start running seconds before I knew he would likely cast it and despite running in a straight line through the cast and everything it would still land on me. I eventually just started timing my crash lightning to land and persist as he cast to break me out. And of course now I do enough damage it doesn't matter.

Ursoc is DEFINITELY easier than dragons. If your DPS can't do Ursoc you probably can't do dragons either, tbh. You can do it :)

NeoGAF Confession: I kept dying during last night's raid because I made it home with about 2 minutes to spare, and was eating some leftover chicken with my hands like an animal. Didn't wanna grease up my keyboard, so I was doing everything one-handed.

Performance significantly improved after the first two fights.

Never raid hungry is my first rule of WoW. Do what you gotta do.

Also since I see a couple more experienced Frost DKs are around - I recently switched to Frost and just found Koltira's Newfound WIll (15% chance for obliterate to refund 2 runes). Problem is this thing is kinda screwing over my Frozen Pulse uptime, but Frozen Pulse is really good so should I change my spec?

Switching to Glacial Advance over Obliteration is what I'm thinking of trying first. Like my other two specs I started off brainlessly following guides and am fixing things over time.

I'm also curious about weapon enchants. The other DKs in my guild said to use Razorice mainhand and Crusader offhand, so that's what I'm doing. But if you had the full Razorice artifact trait would double Razorice do more? (I don't have that trait yet)

Razorice is applied as a stacking debuff to your target and can only stack 5 times. The only thing double Razorice would do is make this stack appear quicker, but it's applied by special and auto attacks so you get 5 stacks in about 2 seconds as a Frostie.

The Fallen Crusader on offhand is a really significant increase to your DPS, so you want to keep it as is. You're good there.

I think if you drop Frozen Pulse and go with Horn of Winter, you might be able to eek out a bit more DPS with that legendary, just because you're then getting more runes back every 30 seconds to then feed into your Obliterates. That legendary really makes Obliterate the centralized focus of your rotation, which could be a blessing when you consider Rime procs.

Thinking about it, that makes sense, but how much tougher is dragons?

Ursoc is a gigantic gear-check.

Dragons isn't stringent (Berserk timer) and just takes coordination. It's an easy fight. Swap dragons at 7 stacks, make sure your portal group is on-point, stand in flowers, kill adds.

OK how the fuck did Nomi accomplish this. I had put in some work orders and just before I went to pick them up, I farmed the other half for the Surf & Turf recipe. I learn it, teleport to Dala and go pick up my burned food. But Nomi somehow had Surf & Turf rank 2 recipe along with all the burned shit.

I choose to believe that in the stacks of crap Nomi always gives us, there's actually tons and tons and tons of recipes. Our characters however look at them and decide "none of that is worthwhile." But later we learn more things and come back and see stuff that we recognize as an improvement to what we know, that we didn't think was anything before. That's my head canon for it.

That, and Nomi is just a dick.

I don't like how they changed prospect with JC. Why couldn't they left it as before? Now I'm stuck with a bunch of worthless gem chips. Seems like you have to prospect a ridiculous amount to get rare gems now compared to before.

That's pretty much it, although gem chips are used in Nightborne Delicacy Platter, so not exactly worthless.

Is Mage Frost viable for leveling? Will it be better in 7.1.5?

My Fire Mage alt is at 103 but hits like a wet noodle. Takes forever to kill a single mob. Doesn't help, that I've leveled 4 Tanks already so switching to a squishy class (her name is actually Squish) is so much slower.
