World of Warcraft |OT9| People still play this? Isn't it from 2004

That's more or less the limit, with the very rare 840. Anything higher and you're looking at raids/mythics/mythic+.

You can get some decent procs off the gear that comes from an emissary cache too. Got an 865 ring out of it the other day.

I love the new draw distance.

Yeah. It really adds something to it, especially in older areas. I always keep being in awe about it. Like if you go to Darnassus and make your way down to Kalimdor through flight, you can see the storm from nearby and see Mt. Hyjal from it. It's greeeat.

I think this last raid is gonna be the deat of my guild. We've all found this tier to be really fucking un-engaging. I know Kara drops tomorrow, when does the next raid hut?

Kara drops Tuesday (or Wednesday of you're EU), not tomorow. The next raid is a mini 3 boss raid 2 weeks from tuesday, the next proper raid, Nighthold, is most likely in January (the actual Tier 19 raid).

Because there aren't enough skills to fill them :p

Nah I saw this even in vanilla when there was 6798222227 skills per class. Like for example in that pic Haly posted, move the 3 spells on the top bar 1 space to the right and the 4 spells on the bottom also 1 space to the right and presto no holes. Friend of mine used to have a super hole-y UI and I never got it. But like I said, I have an actual slight OCD problem so it probably bothers me more than it should.

Edit: that being said I got a pyramid thing going on with my UI since I switched to elvUI so its probably just a visual preference.

Why do people leave holes in their UIs?

I mean in the action bars, I see this a lot and it wrecks my OCD

1) Not enough skills
2) I have a pseudo system for organizing skills on all my characters. For example 1234 are usually ranged/AoE. Q is filler. R is movement. Alt-R is interrupt. Alt-G is racial. T is artifact skill, etc. This makes it easier to switch between characters on the fly so I don't need to completely readjust my mental map every time. Unavoidably, this leaves certain slots empty when the skill would "fit" somewhere else better. And I try to avoid binding things to 56/Alt-56 because they require more hand movement than I like. But stuff like Ice Block and Time Warp go into those keys because they're buttons I never want to mispress in the heat of the moment.

I see. So for example my interrupts are on E, but lets say a class doesnt have a interrupt and I put something else on the E slot, where you wouldn't because E is for interrupts and nothing else. Is that right?

Yes.

Alt+1234 also tend to be 1minute + cooldowns, whereas 1234 are usually subminute cooldowns.

You guys and your fancy "alts". I never went full keybind, I still click some stuff :(

That's also what I do. QWERTY, Shift-QWERTY, 123456, Shift-123456, Alt-QWERTY Gap closers & extra abilities are Q, filler is W, main abilities are E & R, T/2 are typical mitigation, V is magic mitigation, interrupt is Shift-R, taunt/PvP trinket is Shift-E, random AoE is alt-E, CDs are alt-Q/alt-W/alt-R (DPS).

Just a quick Druid/Warrior/Monk thing...

Q - Moonfire/Charge/Jab
W - Swipe/Devastate/Blackout Kick
E - Thrash/Revenge/Keg Smash (all rotational AoE)
R - Mangle/Shield Slam/Breath of Fire
T - Shield Block/Ironfur/Ironskin Brew (I know I have ironfur twice, but there's no real second ability for druids)
2 - Ironfur/Ignore Pain/Purifying Brew
Shift-E - Growl/Taunt/Provoke
Shift-R - Skull Bash/Pummel/Throat Jab or w/e it is
Shift-2 - Frenzied Regen/Health Pot (lol)/Healing Elixir
Alt-Q - Survival Instincts/Shield Wall/Fortifying Brew
V - Mark of Ursol/Spell Reflect/Zen Med (I think)?

Makes it so much easier to bounce between alts.

Only thing that truly varies is the placement of my artifact ability. Druid is Alt-R, because it's my DPS CD button, and it feels like a DPS CD ability. Warrior is Shift-3, because that's where Intimidating Shout was (RIP). Monk is 1, because big keg of fun!

Played Arena for the first time in WoW and man it's so frustrating sometimes. You literally get deleted within seconds, especially as a Shaman and how squish I am. If I'm not focused off the bat though I literally can delete someone with my SS procs and CD's.

Playing 3s is so much better than 2s, to me it's much more fun and gives you a chance to actually PvP. It doesn't help my honor is like 12 so I don't have some of my good talents like counter strike totem which would REALLY help agaisnt hard opners from melee classes.

Got pretty excited that I finally had two berserker for withered training so I could open the door on the right, and so I managed to do the shortest and shittiest run so far because the withered aggroed the whole room and when the fight ended there was no withered left alive. I'll have to learn how to clear that one.

Clear around the perimeter before you pull any of the arcane guys. That room is the biggest threat since you usually go to it with a lower amount of crack fiends.

Wipe-crawled to a HoV-7 deplete despite overflowing being a trivial affix. Man how did you guys survive necrotic last week...?

Overflowing is pretty healer dependent. With the stupid paladin bug, there were times my healer would put a 4 million absorb shield on me (as the tank) with one crit. Needless to say, if he did that at the end of a pull, the next pull would be a wipe if I didn't wait out the minute long debuff. Also Feed on the Weak DHT +8 was fun with overflowing, trying to spam heals to keep someone up and getting a crit heal right as FotW ended, putting an absorb shield on the DPS for greater than their max HP. HoT healers though, that shit is trivial. Necrotic is also comp dependent (and instance dependent). It is very easy to kite as a guardian druid so in most places Necrotic just meant slightly slower kills since I had to run away.

I leave that room for last on two of my toons so far. Just not worth the hassle.

DK tank pulls almost the entire trash around Serpentrix (keep in mind its Teeming this week) and doesn't even bother to move, although I doubt he could even see where the lightning things those blue creatures drop since there so much trash around us at once

"Crap heal" after he dies and then leaves
Some people...

Yeah, can't even log in now. Thank god the insane lag spike hit right after we downed the last boss on mythic+. Saw the trinket I was after in the chest but couldn't loot :d.

I sure hope it gets mailed :D

Our second team called Mythic Nythendra for the first time 5 minutes before the servers died, so that's something, at least.

Yeah the honor talent grind combined with artifact power being so enormous makes it very hard to PvP on alts. One of my biggest gripes this xpac. In the past you'd just get an alt to max level, then have your buddies carry you for some pvp gear (and you had a catch-up cap to get lots of gear your first week).

Now? Now you wait 1.5 mo's till you're allowed to catch up on artifact power and you gotta put in 40+ hours grinding away at your core honor talents and getting pummeled into the dust before hand. It's a very painful experience.

The whole template/gear thing was supposed to reduce the PvP gating, but honestly, I think legion's pvp gate is a LOT larger than WoD, especially outside of your first character.

For the past month I've been suffering some pretty terrible lag while playing. Also, is there a proper term where you just end up "locked up" on your character, everything is stuck bobbing in place and you have to forcefully terminate game to do anything? Is that just bad lag or do I have something else?

Withered Training is... surprisingly difficult on MM. It's just hard to control where all my damage is going, Frost was better than this.

What is going on with dungeon WQ rewards this weekend?
It's the second time I see a cool mythic 840 trinket as reward, complete WQ and get something totally different. Yesterday I got a relic for different spec, today - some crappy ring.
Where are my trinket rewards :/

Finally got a legendary! It dropped from normal Dragons, lol. Got the chest piece that buffs Intercept. Not that great really, but it's something at least. Hilariously, our other tank got exactly the same legendary two bosses later from Ursoc.

Sephuz's Secret and Prysaz are just a big fuck you.

Lets add this system where you need to play a billion hours to get legendaries but lets also add really shitty ones!

You forgot about the mail healing pants. I know a hunter and an enhace with it, and I was there when they both got it. Such a bad item. We make jokes about standing still to heal all the time.
