Supposedly Sephuz is excellent for Guardian druids.
Really glad Blizzard said nothing about it being bugged and let loads of people waste their time looking for it. Very thoughtful of them.
From what I can tell they still haven't admitted it, but if you go onto the PTR there it is for all to get.

That and that stupid Galleon mount both took them like 3 months after launch to notice that "hey maybe these mounts aren't actually available". They actually had the gall to tell people on twitter that they were in the game, when there was no evidence that a single person had gotten either on any server.
The worst part was that they refused to admit it was bugged and even told everyone that they knew it had dropped for people.

Got a quick BlizzCon ticket question. I'm going to be picking up two badges (one for myself and my brother) on Thursday but my brother won't be with me when I'm doing it. Would I still be able to pick up both badges without his ID even though I purchased them? Or would they force me to go to the Solutions desk just to pick up his badge?

Yeah they were in the same transaction using my card. I'm just trying to find out ahead of time. Only reason I'm asking is because the information on the BlizzCon site is telling me I need his ID with me too. I figured that since both of the ticket barcodes they supplied me say they were purchased by me that it would be fine.
I just fell into the trap I wanted to avoid falling into and why I didnt want to be in a raiding guild:
I'm super into my recent druid and feel its a stronger healer than my monk, at least for my style. But ive been raiding with some friends on the monk, getting gear, and now feel like a dick if I switch, which is exactly why I didnt want to be in a guild in the first place (which im not but I still feel guilty).
Granted, with personal loot its not like I took that gear from someone else but its still a dick move. Fuck.

One of them was Prydaz tho, the other 2 are the shadow priest helm and belt.
I don't even play as much as people that have none or only 1 in my guild.
I have none still, I have 860 item level mainly from Mythic+ gear and done emissary caches every day. I don't really feel like it's holding me back. Neither is it holding back the Windwalker who has essentially done the same mix of content as me, and has an 870 item level and also no legendaries. He typically does about 15% more damage than me, unless there are a lot of mobs stacked. Then he does more than double.
It's ridiculous.

I have a habit of funneling all of my free gold into gear. I've purchased and fully upgraded 4 pieces, including a bracer that rolled with the elusive Savant affix. I could afford to do all gold for a while, but I'm going to see how painful it is to actually farm up 7k a week resources on top of the 500 needed for the AK research.

Downed Usroc and Illygoth on Heroic, so our guild is 5/7 heroic now. Got an 870 relic and 865 wriggling sinew.
Then yesterday I got Design of the Stars for my artifact, and it's a good weekend

I do 1k gold, 1k+2k resources. You get 3k resources a week doing fuck all and I'm not a herbalist with infinite gold.I thought everyone did 1k gold, 2k gold and 1k resources

Grats! My guild finished the normal we started on Wednesday (just Xavius) and then we proceeded to heroic. We'd done one night in heroic before downing Nythendra and Nightmare Dragons, but last night we only managed Nythendra. One of our tanks was doing it just as an off spec thing, so it wasn't really an optimal setup. At least we got Nythendra in one try.
You should be able to start with the class trial and then use the 100 upgrade to unlock it after the trial is over.
yah the longer dungeons should honestly give more loot, ~3 per chest. it's pretty dumb that you can 3 chest vault in 10 minutes for 6 pieces of loot OR 3 chest halls in 30 for the same amount

200kish. Ursoc needs higher dps than that(Depending on how many people you have, if you have 4 healers, then you can pad dps out to make up for weak dps, as my guild did today). ilygoth is kinda reliant on dps as well(Because mechanics get too overwhelming after the first phase).

yesterday on xavius normal I pulled like 250kdps, and another mage like 350k
I looked at our skada and I notices that I did slightly more damage with pyroblast and fireball, and he did like 10million more damage with ignite
my ilvl is 860
so I know keeping your ignite high and rolling is very important, so my guess is I am doing something wrong there
I read several guides, I usually just wait for the heating up and then use either fire blast if I am already casting or phoenix flames if I just finished a cast. I don't what is really more to it than that so I am missing something obvious. can anyone show me in the right direction?

Did a lot of people die? No offense but hitting enrage on the first boss is not a good sign.
lol, I decided to mess around with Survival a bit and so I queue for a heroic... one pull in to the dungeon the Warlock says "fyi beastmastery and marksman are so much better than survival". I didn't bother answering but the healer seemed to be more annoyed about it than I did and argued with the guy about it until he stopped talking.

We lose a person every time she sleeps, but we're a ragtag collection of folks poking HC because we casually finish normal. We'll work on it

Average DPS as in average of the damage dealers? Most people in my guild aren't very good (I'm talking 10th - 20th percentile parses) and even our worst DPS did 170k on last night's Nythendra kill, though a few people died early. Average DPS per raid member, so including tanks and healers, was ~150k. We beat the enrage timer by a minute.

We had 4 people do about 200 to 240k, then we had the bulk of the dps at 170ish, then we had a few stragglers. It was probably our casualties that got us then. The squishier folks weren't running from the big bugs quickly enough.
I have to say that using the group finder for even heroic raiding has been pretty good to me up to this point.
Besides that... I got my first legendary yesterday.

Yeah you can't afford to lose a lot of people there if you're not super good. Most our DPS was around 200k with the odd outlier (read: me) at 300k.
I dunno what I'd do if my guild fall apart, I've been with the same group of people for 4-5 years now, I could never apply to a new guild and try raiding with a bunch of strangers.

In WoD I just gathered dwarves over and over and over until she berserked, then 2 breathes killed em all and I got the cheevo. When she's berserked her breath deals 75% of their max health.
Your strat is news to me, and sounds way easier.

You should definitely be ignite stackinf. When you proc a hotstreak, save it, cast a fireball, and release the pyroblast at the same time as the fireball flies out. Not only does this give you the biggest possible ignite, but it gives you a bigger chance at another hotstreak because I believe there is a
.5 second window where if either your Pyroblast or Fireball were to activatw hotstreak, it wont cancel it out if only 1 crit.
Combustion is a huge part of this. My rotation for a burst is basically this-
Fireball until I get a hotstreak going
Fire blast to fully activate it
Rune of power
Cast another fireball, combustion near the end of cast, release pyroblast at end of cast
Pyroblast again since both FB and PB benefit from combustion
Fire blast
Pyroblast
Phoenix flames
Pyroblast
B) Fireblast(phoenix flames is there to buffer the cd of fireblast if it recharged fast enough, otherwise go to A if there are still seconds left)
A)Flame on
Fireblast
Pyroblast

If you have Hero, during B you can keep using Phoenix Flame until 1 fire blast recharges(as to not waste the recharge of it) before flaming on.
Otherwise you dont want to really phoenix during combustion because the Global Cooldown(GCD) it gives(Hero/more haste gives you a smaller GCD).
If you are not in a burn phase, Fireball/Pyroblast is your standard rotation. If you used Rune of Power for Combustion, you can safely cast it twice before your next combustion is up(on average, if using kindling) and it will be up for combustion again.
Crit is your most important stat, to the point where even if an item is 870, of your 825 piece has more crit, crit is valued more than int. Mastery is your second important stat.
Your other mage in the guild probably has his combustion rotation down, since Combustion adds your crit total to stat(so personally I end up having around 50%-60% mastery while combustions up) meaning each pyroblast you cast will do around 120ishk per second from ignite(and if you can properly stack it, sometimes even hire.)
Crit. Most important. Kindling is the best tier 7 talent as well(or is it 6?) as it allows combustion to be up more(most fights up to 3-4 times.)
For Xavius its a special case, you can combustion twice while in dream and when you get out of dream all your CDs reset. Its also easy to buffer ignite/dps on Xavius after 3rd pbase, so dont look at damage on him as an indicator.
