Frostfire ridge was a great zone. I also really like the garrison. Recruiting followers and sending them on missions is really fun. And the music... just epic.

If Shadowmoon is this crazy right now I can't imagine it'll get better for a couple of days. I'm talking three or four seconds of delay where people are and it's not even mid-day yet.

I've been on the same spot for 5 minutes right clicking on Durotran. I should just quit but I want to get ahead a bit so I don't have to fight people who log in later on today.

How's it going NA GAF?!

I just want to know who thought pushing every single person in the starting zone to click an object, and not phasing that object. So smart.

I'm still at work for a few more hours then I'll be waiting until Best Buy opens to get my discounted copy with the awesome gamer sub. I sincerely hope it's playable by the time I get around to it.

Meeeeee too! 5 hours till store open! Switched to Best Buy from Amazon once that GCU deal happened and saved a ton of money on the CE.

Also gonna snag my first new PC monitor since... 2007. Damn, it's been a long time.

This is the first expansion I'm not/can't buy. No monies mainly. Feels weird man.

I think I'm going to install and load up a trial account, lol.

Too bad there's not a C.R.E.E.D system.

Couldn't log on at 3, so I played the new Mario Kart 8 DLC until 5 and it was OK until I got to Durotan. Now it's really laggy. I'm really impressed with the graphics, though. Just the way that the world has been made is so much more realistic than even in Pandaria. It's so well done. I just love how everything makes sense. From how the hills roll to where the trees and rocks are.

I'm in shadowmoon Valley and it's fucking beautiful, but the overall experience right now, 12½ hours after launch here, is just so frustrating that I'm too busy being annoyed to really appreciate the look of the zone

Got up this morning (EU) and despite some crowded quest spots and npcs, I've had zero problems. Really enjoyed the introduction quests and the first alliance zone is absolutely breathtaking. I still can't believe a ten-year-old game can look this great.

How is everyone liking it so far? I won't get mine until later today when UPS decides to deliver it to me.

I think I'm going to take my Hunter first to 100.

hmm luckily I am on a low pop german RP server, I actually even had people from another server on it in draenor last night

Imo the start quests are the best ive played so far in wow.
The whole scenery and storyline is interesting and since tbc was my favourite expansion everything is quite nostalgic yet new and refreshing.
I like it...apart from all the click said item before all 200 people waiting in front of you on top of the quest item.

Well, it's getting slightly better in EU. Slightly. It's gone from utterly unplayable to working but taking about 30 seconds to do anything. Once you get past the horrendously bugged tree quest, the kill quests are just a matter of patience.

Then you get in your Garrison and find a crucial NPC isn't spawning and the Garrison phasing isn't working so everyone is in the same place :)

I'm in Raider's Hideout on a top 15 server, and it's like the server can't even load everyone in. It loads peploe in then loads out then loads more in then loads moure out phases out phases in and on and on. It is on fire.

Silvermoon south SMV works really well, then it just goes to shit, DCs you and you spend 20 minutes logging back in for it to be fine again.

It's funny when it dcs you to Shrine, dcs you again to your location and everything works again.

Logged in and played for about 10 minutes this morning before I went to work. Went through the Dark Portal and pretty much immediately ran into
and released Gul'Dan from his prison
so that was pretty awesome for "right off the bat" intros.

Excited to wrap up the intro quests and dig into Frostfire tonight, although given all the reports of the lag and bugs it might not realistically be a thing for me 'til this weekend.

Lol, none of my friends who were going to stay up and play at launch are on right now. They must have given up with server issues and gone to bed.

I've never bothered with midnight madness, so hopefully thing won't be as fucked when I get home tonight.

Well my C.E package has been delayed for a day not that i am happy about it at all because i took 2 days off to start playing thanks to Postnl there worst sometimes and it will arrive tomorrow near the day ends i am pissed off about it. I want to play but i have to wait not happy about this but seeing the launch as usual it is like they have done nothing they have learned from Wotlk for a better flow for everyone.

That sucks.

On the plus side, by the time you get the game, it sounds like it might be playable.

worst launch day of all the xpacs... you would think they would know by now about these questgivers on launch day...and whoever made those click on item quests needs to get shot.

God damn that's a lot of money, just go for a walk and read a book til it settles down haha.

I personally reactivated a second dormant account (used for RAF) and bought WOD on that so I can actually play this game instead of waiting on 4 hour queues for Frostmourne.

I'll eventually server and account transfer this toon to my main, but hey waiting 10 mins > waiting 4 hours for the first 8 weeks... was lucky that I could move that toon off frostmourne for free...

Hey guys quick question: if I have a level 29 character, would it be worth it to pick up this expansion now? I know it comes with the level 90 boost, but I want to grind my way to level 90 so I can learn all the subtleties of my class. Would I see any benefit from buying it now, or would I be better off waiting until I hit level 90?

Wait until 90, all the wod changes are in the base game except for draenor content

Welp. Wake up after getting ~6h sleep, try to log back in... and my server has a queue. I think this is the first time I've even seen a queue since 2005 on a different server.
