It is good and more fun then before they tossed out talents and abilities that didn't make sense and also mashed others together and others only for a specific kind of spec.

When i go back thinking from Vanilla,TBC,Wotlk it got so bloated with abilities all my bars where full it is ridiculous when i think about it.
 
I've not bought it yet, but I plan to. I would buy it now, but I have to work tomorrow (I start work at 3am) and therefore wouldnt be able to play until I got home. Is there any reason I should buy it now instead of just waiting till I get home tomorrow?

Is there any reason not to?

I'd get it before there are any potential server issues and it takes some time for them to authorize your payment.

no. buy it when you will use it. no pre-order bonus or anything. 90 boost comes with the expansion purchase.

I forgot about this entirely. Not like I have time for MMOs anymore anyway. Lore just keeps getting sillier, but I'm tempted to play just to see my old character's new looks and see a troll as Warchief.
 
I generally resub whenever there's a new expansion but I just logged onto Battle.net and checked out my friends list and saw that 99% of the people I used to play with haven't logged on in over a year so I'm kinda on the fence. Meh.
 
This was going to be the first expansion I was going to miss because of a lack of money and other games coming out I want to play. But someone was adamant that I play again and even bought the game for me. So...back to WoW I guess.

hah, that's funny. I did the same thing to my friend too (although he hadn't played the game before).
 
Considering re-subbing for this, will probably wait to hear some feedback first. Every xpac seems like you have to relearn the entire game.
 
So not ready for the expansion.


Server I play on is dead(bloodhoof), GM of a dead guild on said server, tried to get a new priest rerolled to max on Area 52, only got to 61, name for my monk to transfer over is taken so ticket is in for that, blah.


Probably just going to make a new character on A52 and level that, or continue the priest.
 
No shipping notice yet from Amazon, or a CC charge for that matter. I really hope it gets here tomorrow at this rate.
 
Preparations have been made for tonight! Can't wait. Some guildies and I will be starting right at midnight, and we're having a friendly competition to see who can get to 100 first.
 
I am so, so ready. Only a paper and a few tests away from a long weekend.

It's been so long, I haven't played since the start of MoP. I am ready to hop back in to raiding.
 
Haven't played since I hit 90 a couple of years ago but will definitely pick this up at some point this week.

Sort of want to race/server change, which will cost an extra $55. I've pretty much stuck with the same character since vanilla, so even though everything is account bound and it might end up a different race, it has sentimental value.
 
Oh fuck, I told myself I would not get sucked back in since i'd have to buy MoP and that would be a waste by now i'm checking my account and i'm have MoP for some reason.. ugh temptation growing.
 
Going to go scout the Dark Portal with my Space Goat Paladin, who will be the first through the gate. I hear crowds are gathering already. Reminds me of the giant mass of people when the Dark Portal first opened in BC.

I actually am looking at my original guild here and there is still activity in it.. how dead is dead?

most recently I was on a new character on Hakkar and we all transferred to Bleeding Hollow... Hakkar.. now THAT was a dead server. Like to the point that the AH problem made it frustrating to play.. it was literally the same 2-3 horde guilds all selling to each other. horrible.

green fire can be completed/obtained on WoD. Only the title is exclusive pre-WoD.
 
I'm not sure what to do with WoW. I kind of want to play this expansion, but at the same time I really can't be bothered getting back into it. I re-subbed a few weeks ago to test out the Oceanic servers and since then I haven't touched it. Everytime I jump into the game since start of Catacylsm I just can't seem to enjoy myself.

WoW ruined MMO's for me, and I don't think I'll ever find enjoyment from the genre again. Only reason I'm interested in this expansion is the play on nostalgia, should that be enough?
 
I've got my pass for the hype train. As I've mentioned before, this is the most excited I've been for a WoW xpac since WotLK.

Bring on the Iron Horde.
 
Just dropped by my realms dark portal. Didn't realize they had updated it, can now park my ass outside the portal and wait.

Also a bunch of interesting named NPCs in random gear.
