blue post like 40 minutes ago.. damn..

DDOS fucking attack on US servers... fucking fuck-it-all fuckers.. so they've lowered realm pops (why we have queues queues everywhere) to try and help latency while they work on the DDOS attacks.

so that seems to be a large part as to why MoP went more smoothly... fucking DDOS.

Hnnng I need to get home and park my ass inqueue.

And yeah, I love those title cards for the major characters. Saw one on a twitch stream earlier.

You're in for a treat. I've boosted 3 characters after coming back because questing has been so god damn boring for me.

Spent around 5 hours questing and I've got to say.....It's actually fun. The Garrison especially is a cool addition. Now I'm just trying to build up my Garrison because it's something else to do in WoW that's actually fun.

The presentation for that starter zone especially got me pumped. This expansion is gonna steal most of my time.

Anyone on EU-Ragnaros Horde?
Decided to buy the game together with a friend, haven't played since early WotLK...

Got up to 91 and a third.

Intro quests were brilliant, and the Garrison stuff. After that it started to feel like the tired quests we seen for years, but i love the aesthetic and characters of Draenor.

Highlights - intro quest line, scenery, garrison followers (love all the odd oldschool npcs you can get!)
Lows - some boring quests, lag

As I sit in my queue of 5,000+ I can't help but stare at the CE box and notice how different it is from the others. My OCD is killing me right now.

This reminds me why I don't like paying the sub for WoW. They never comp people even when the game is unplayable.

Many times before they have compensated people, however expecting it anytime something goes wrong is in my opinion selfish and undeserved. Some things just plain go wrong, nothing you can do about it.

In saying that, I finally got through the Garrison questline and onto taking over the Bladespire castle thing. Pretty damn cool quests so far, I really like the cinematic touch on things like levelling up your Garrison. I've been hit by a few broken quests though, like the plant flag one so it has been difficult.

I had a feeling ddos was going to be an issue, the latency from server to home and the world were fine today mostly. However the server was struggling to send information to players hence the lag, stuck and missing npcs and long long wait time to do anything. I wish these attention seekers would go take on corporate or government sites, stop wasting your time on our leisure activities.

Que times, even on low/medium pop servers. lol

This weekend is going to be fun, probably won't get to play much then either.

Should just bring the servers down, you cannot do shit anyways.

3448 in Q, with 486 minutes left to go!

I'm almost there guys/gals :P

Oh well, it has actually motivated me to do some deep cleaning in my room while I wait in Q. I didn't expect to be able to play much today anyways. As long as everything is working much better tomorrow and through the weekend I'll be happy.

Hopefully it's fixed by tomorrow since I took the day off.

I already screwed myself because I'm an idiot. I haven't played in 2-3 years and had no idea WoD wasn't adding any pre-90 content. I've been sitting around twiddling my thumbs for a month waiting for today and turns out I could have been playing the whole time. My uninformed butt thought the graphics update and quest restructuring was all tied to the WoD launch. =/

I'm one of those weirdos who doesn't get into the end-game content much and just likes rerolling alts.

800 person queue for my shithole low-pop server (Duskwood); I'm not complaining since I know a lot of you guys on high-pop servers have it much worse, it's honestly pretty funny since this is literally the first time I've seen a queue since transferring from a high pop server in 2010. Plus I'm not going to sweat it since I have a 3 day weekend and will get to play my heart out eventually

I got a few quests done then the server is in limbo now. Can chat but actions don't work. Been like this for few minutes so far. If I get sent to queue I'm just going to give up until tomorrow

this thread makes me much less angry that I missed the UPS man by 5 minutes this afternoon. I don't think a launch has been this rough since BC!

They did in vanilla, I don't think I've seen them do it recently though. They definitely should give a few days for what's happening right now on some servers.

So, I got to the bit with Gormaul Tower and found out that a phasing error with all of this lag makes it impossible to do. I tried to hearthstone, but my character refused to cast the spell. I got disconnect, and now I'm sitting in a 4000 man queue.

I wish they would just make rested bonus universal and not tie it to home instances. Sucks that I wasn't able to make it home before being booted out, that extra EXP would have been nice when I come back.

not healthy imo

Eh, I'd take a look at his average playtime and the way it's affecting his life if you really want to see if this is "healthy". I don't think getting uber-excited about a new game you've been anticipating for a long time and binge-playing it is 'unhealthy', it's not like he's doing it 24 hours for the next two weeks. A lot of us have had considerable gaming marathons like this.

Got back in and things seem okay but now I have to go, so in 4 hours I got about 15 minutes of actual play time lol. I'm sure by tomorrow things will be worked out and hopefully those asshole DDoSers move onto something else or better yet jump off a bridge
