DQVII

still cant forget the day I was playing the fist Dragon Quest. Still remind me from time to time until Dragon Quest VII was move to PSX . My dream come true , finally it come to my hand , pop it in my PSX and the journey begin .

Story: 9/10 Epic , epic quest , I can't forgeting the story , it star from a very little fishing villar , and you are the son of the fishing man ( hey you can hunting fish every day huh ) anyway , the promblem is Estard Isle is the only one island on the continent . So you and other six friend travel back , back in time to find out how , from there the LONG QUEST begin .

Sound: 7/10 The sound is aright , old but still good .

Graphic: 7/10 Old school graphic , like Dragon Quest VI on Snes , but Dragon Quest VII is still better than other DQ graphic (ofcouse) .

GamePlay: 9/10 Wow , I must say wow , the control is very easy and really kool , you control 3 party member waking around the big world , a beautyful world will pull you in the game forever and never leave .

Battle: 8/10 Same , same other Dragon Quest , 2D battle only see monster on the screen , use magic , attach , heal , is the basic in the game . Some people will enjoy the battle like me .

FMV: 10/10 Finally I can see the movie from Dragon Quest VII this make me love Enix more than ever , the breaktaking graphic of FMV .

Replayability: 9/10 This is my first time playing the game , I already beat the game , but I feel like incomplish , because I din't spend to find all the secret in the game , but one day I will play it again and this time I will make all the different.

OverALL: 10/10 Thank you , thank you , Enix for making such as a beautyful game , This game will make my collection more BIG , I hope one day Enix will make my dream come true again , like making another DRAGON QUEST . Thanks

Gamefaqs should really proofread these things. O god they reviewed the FMV :lol

i thought this was concerning the C- ninja gaiden GAF review :(

GameFan's (after most the worthwhile contributors had left) embarrassing review of Final Fantasy VIII. It's like they only played the first two hours and decided that's all they needed. *cue jokes from the FFVIII haters*

Actually I would choose a GameFan review but not that one. The one where the reviewer who left/got fired and somehow snuck a crazy ass review of Ace Combat in place of some sports game review. Spent almost the entire write up ranting like he was drunk about "Jap bastards". Not only worst review but one of the funniest to boot to read for the first time and just go "WTF is going on!"

Gamepro's review of Zelda OOT. The ONLY media that DIDNT give the game a perfect score for the next few years after its release. That 4.5/5.0 still hunts them to this day. How the heck can you take off points because you dont have enough sense to shoot the Kezees with the slingshot?

Two years on, and I'm still angry at IGN's Whiplash review where they spelled the name of the main character incorrectly.

:lol I still need to pick that game up.. it's $15 at Fry's.

Which game did IGN review using split personalities, and one personality really liked the game, and the other hated it, so the reviewer ended up giving it a 5.0?

actually IGNs review of Daisenrayaku VII was the worst review ever!

Aside from the score (which is only inaccurate if you're not into hardcore strategy, which is pretty much everyone), the only thing wrong with it is this

"There is one military themed track that plays continuously through every section of the game"

There are like 8 tracks you can choose between in the options menu..

Gotta be Gamepro's review of Lunar: SSSC, where they docked the game points for not including a copy of Lunar 2.

Still stupefying after all these years.

edit: This is pretty shocking, as well.

Being skeptical that the first dating RPG, I made the assumption the female characters would be extra cautious, making sure not to be too daring, or possibly even the complete lack of innuendo.

I'm vaguely reminded of a troll on GameFAQs who would write a bunch of bordeline trolling reviews, then would go all out every so often. If I remember correctly, he wrote an absurdly crude and negative review for Xenogears which contained a comment along the lines of "<such and such> can be considered desirable in the same sense that anal rape by a gorilla might be desirable if you have severe bowel blockage."

It wasn't worded quite that nicely, either.

Docking points for not including Lunar 2? WTF?

I think the "rationale" (if it can be called that) was that since it was Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete , it wouldn't really be complete if it didn't include an entirely separate game.

edit: Haha, I just found it online.

Another gripe is the exclusion of Lunar: Eternal Blue. Why that excellent sequel wasn't packed into this "commemorative" edition of Lunar is beyond comprehension (it would've helped layer this otherwise simplistic and fundamental game). Even though Lunar is called "Complete," RPG diehards and fans of the Lunar series will beg to differ.

OK I found that review I was talking about!

It is an import review for Gungrave, written by David Smith's two alter egos, Good Doktor and Evil Doktor.

http://ps2.ign.com/articles/367/367191p1.html

"This sort of thing went on for a little while. Once it was over with, Good Doktor stuck to his guns and demanded a 0.0 score for Gungrave, while Evil Doktor dove for his throat screaming "Perfect 10! Perfect 10!" As a consequence, I have chosen the middle road."

That review rules, tho.

Gamespots MGS3 review. How the fuck can you give MGS2 9.6, when the game only deserved a score in the lower 9's and only give MGS3 8.7. I usually dont make a deal about games that get a high 8 because its still a good score, but not for MGS3. It was the only game that i have played this gen that I could call just about perfect.

bethany gamespot review for Kessen III was pretty terrible

one of those write a really short review and then pick the score out of a hat

This game is good but not great. It does some things beter than others. People who like games like this should buy or rent this game, because they will like it.

The end.

C'mon guys, what about the REAL 6.8.........gamespots review of NiGHTS!!!!!!!!

gamespot loves giving huge sega exclusives that lucky number!

I'm partial to the IGN review of the XXX2's mobile version.

"Is it's the deepest game you'll ever play, but it's good summer nobile gaming."

"You will running from left to right a lot, shooting bad guys off perches and flipping switches."

"The auto-fire feature really helps smooth out the gameplay and keeps things moving at a reasonable clip -- and since there is no shortage of bad guys to shoot (yet it never gets overwhelming) -- you're never bored. Good stuff."

While not a game review, I still remember the credibility shattering review that was Daily Radar's Blair Witch 2 "best sequel ever" review.

they obviously never saw Evil Dead 2, which damages their credibility even moreso

I remember that review, though I think their credibility was already in shambles before that review came along.

Fred Toepel wrote that. What a horrible little man.

That movie wasn't even watchable, let alone the best sequel ever.
