Worst City You've Ever Been To?

Either a cross between Stockton, CA and Rockford, IL. Both are shitholes.

Agreed with Rockford, IL. Went there a few months ago for a job interview and it's absolutely bad downtown. As I was walking back to my car, I had some older guy across the street yells loudly at me to "go back to my home country" and that I "shouldn't have been allowed here in the first place".

Worst city I've ever been to bar none.

Tacoma, Washington.

It even sucks to drive past it. To be fair though I hear it has some nice neighborhoods.

I don't get the hate Tacoma gets. I've never actually lived there but I've been there quite a few times and I never saw anything wrong with it. The north end is also quite nice and the park there is amazing. I get that there used to be mills there hence "the aroma of Tacoma" but those are all gone and I never smelled anything bad when I've been there. Maybe it's cause I'm from the east coast and have a different outlook of what a shitty city looks like.

Savannah, GA. Paper plants make the air rancid, miserable hot summers, cockroach swarms that will carry you away at night, homeless people dead on benches ignored for days at a time, outrageous housing and rent costs for buildings that should be condemned and torn down and no one gets their damn license plates like they are supposed to.

edit: And nothing to fucking do there except go to the same couple hipster spots and pizza place night after night after night..ugh.

Definitely a close battle between Stoke-on-Trent and Bangkok. I've been to the latter a dozen times and hated every one.

I was stationed about ~45 min away from there for a couple years. The only recollection I have of that place (apart from the heat and humidity) is going to see the blair witch project at some movie theatre there and some guy that worked there was sneaking people in the side entrance for the movie. That and also was there for New Years of the year 2000 when everyone thought all the lights and electronics would turn off lol.

SEATTLE hands down:

It was a Sunday night in March of 2012.
I walked from the airport to downtown with 100 pounds of luggage.
Get downtown and it's dead as shit for a major city.
Not a lot of people are walking around but the ones that are have shitty attitudes.
Everyone was antagonistic and I kept getting lost near the waterfront for some odd reason.
The design of the city was the absolute worst.
It was the craziest experience I've ever had in the sense that everyone was weird and mean.

In the midwest people at least at with some form of respect. All forms of decorum gradually went away but I was tired and made it to where I was supposed to get to in time.

Greater Cleveland area. I mean there is still so good parts to it, but after going there I have no interest in ever seeing the hardcore version of it - Detroit.

With that said, I feel like random abandoned small towns win at this game. For all of the worst large cities, they still have a lot to do and see and safe areas.
