My nomination goes to...

Black Eyed Peas - "Let's Get Retarded/It Started."

Why? Because the same damn song was split into two entities, both having radio airplay.

I like "started" better because of the NBA Playoffs. Thank you NBA. Although Retarded would have fit the Lakers better. :p

First tragedy, then farce.
a bit off topic, but the coolest radio edit has to be rock superstar.. I actually prefer the radio edit (with guns being loaded instead).

Honarable mention goes to all godsmack radio edits.. somehow they convinced the world that taking up part of the u in fuck (not all of the u sound mind you, just a bit in the middle) was good enough.. so it sounds more like someone has a stutter when cussing than anything else. Whats the point of even doing a radio edit when he clearly says it?

Styles P - Good Times (Get "By" Version)

i remember back then, saying "i get by as a kite" was a running joke in my circle...

oh, and i can't stand "Started" ... Retarded is so much better

:lol

They also took out the "I'm just a crosshair" verses in the intro to Take Me Out by Franz Ferdinand.

George Michael's Flawless (Go to the City). The way they censored "fucked up" by repeating the preceding words was just horridly unharmonious. "You know that you're more than just... [copy - paste] More than just... some piece of ass" (if you appreciated you can find me write-singing George Michael's song under the grey bridge, it's free). But there is so many other cuts to bring a 6 minutes song to radio standards (3-4 minutes)...

the radio edit of Brown Eyed Girl (the one most people know, as it was accidentally put on the Greatest Hits CD), replaces the line "makin' love in the green grass" with a repeat of the earlier chorus (laughin and a jumpin, hey hey). The music obviously is cut and pasted too, if you listen carefully.
