Would this feature be possible on the forums?

You know how you can read a post on page 89, and it quotes a post from a few pages back, and you can spend the next 5 mins reading a back-chain of replies?

Would it be possible to put a collapsable css box (like a quote box) underneath the text body of a post, almost like an email signiature, to show "this post has been quoted by the following later posts". That way we could read mini conversations forwards rather than backwards?

Hmm.. Interesting idea. Only problem there would be that you read a bunch of replies to a post, then continue with the thread and run into the same reply posts again.. Unless you had it set up like reddit, which I don't think I'd like.

I'd middle click the reply links to open them in new tabs; that way I wouldn't loose my place in the thread overall. lol. when i later reached the reply posts I'd skip over them, because i'd already read them together as a 'conversation' or 'debate' etc.
