Its official this Wrestlemania is 5 hours long.

From 6 to 7 you get the Fatal 4 way tag match and the Battle Royal:
From 7 to 11 you get 7 matches and the musical performance.

Man I hate outdoor manias! Can't control the entrances as well. Two matches before the main event would benefit from the outside darkness. Plus the lack of hearing crowd noise as well.

You can't have fireworks for Ric fucking Flair in doors:

Now that is some pyro.

Still one of my favorite Mania entrances not done by Taker.

WrestleMania Today highlight - Cole explains Sting hasn't wrestled in 14 years and Flair corrects him saying he's worked once a week for the past ten years. "You know Book ... you were down there" - Flair

Actually, Wrestlemania is 6 hours long because the pre-show lasts two hours (5-7pm).

So we've got:

5-6 pm: Pre-Show match - Fatal 4 way Tag
6-7 pm: Pre-Show match - Andre Battle Royal
7-11 pm: Main show

The Observer reported this:

WWE officials have just told us with the moving of the Andre the Giant Battle Royal to the pre-game show, the first match will go into the ring at about 3 p.m. Pacific time.

Originally the first match was scheduled for 3:30 p.m., so this will be a five hour show

So 5-6 is just pre show stuff like video packages and that stuff. The first match starts at 6.

As someone who only watches wrestlemania, will this be a disappointment compared to last year?

Impossible to say for sure before we actually watch the show.

But considering last year had a very good build and pretty much exceeded all expectations (30 was one of the best Manias ever, honestly), whereas this year the build has been HORRIBLE and even in a best case scenario doesn't seem like it'll be all that great of a show... I'm going to say this year will disappoint compared to last year.

Taker's character should play into the fact he is getting older. Rip off elements of Gran Torino and Breaking Bad, put that into the Taker character... could be cool

That would work really well to be honest. He's all about image so it would be a nice fresh way to keep him larger than life, helps make up for any struggles in the ring.

The Rock is pretty tiresome these days

not hyped in anyway about a possible appearance
He's come back quite a lot at this point, Rumble really wouldn't have done him any favours either sadly.

Dude looks prime for another run at the title

Also keep in mind this is on the west coast. The show ends at 8PM local time (11PM EST).

The sun might still be out by the time the main event starts.

It's very possible. I'm sitting out on the west coast right now, and there's plenty of sunshine in the sky.

holy shit the andre the giant battle royale is on the pre show? how fucking fast did vince give up on that shit?

2014: great wrestlemania moment, winner goes nowhere
2015: full of jobbers, winner almost certainly goes nowhere, ON THE PRE SHOW
2016: ???

Truly a great way to honor the memory of Andre The Giant.

I wanna see it rain at an outdoor mania and see how wwe officials respond to it.

The ring is always covered with a tent thing whilst outdoors, so not much would change for the wrestlers.

In regards to the fans... WWE never gives a shit about them regardless of if it rains or not.

That's all well and good in Florida, but you have to keep in mind that they're in California this year. The show will end before 8PM. It's currently 7:30PM in San Francisco right now and the sun hasn't gone down yet.

Wow, Andre memorial match won't even be shown as part of Wrestlemania? For fucking shame.

Is there a specific reason for not having a Miz vs Mizdow match at Mania? they've been building the feud up for like 3-4 months, it seems pretty obvious to have them go at it here, and not further down the line where it would feel streched out.

Also, I'm pretty baffled why they decided to end the Goldust/Stardust feud, it seemed to be going places and it ended just like that.

WWE booking is pretty shit. They have all the right ingredients for a delicious stew but they have no fucking idea how to cook it properly any more (and change their minds halfway through pouring something in).

That one part of Bray's entrance that makes it special and I was hoping to see at Mania....ruined......

#worstcoast
Considering the amount of work they put into those entrances I want to imagine they have definitely factored in the fact it will be light out.
