It is widely believed (especially from people who actually were in WWC at the time) that Carlos had Bruiser Brody stabbed in the showers and got away with it because he was basically a god on the island and he got away with it. Dutch got his subpoena after the trail ended and the case was thrown out because other wrestlers (Tony Atlas mostly) refused to testify. Carlos didn't do the stabbing, but it is widely believed that it was his idea. Wrestlers wouldn't say anything to police because they were afraid something would happen to them or they'd lose their jobs.
