I wonder what inspirations they’re drawing from Ninja Gaiden here? To me, Wuchang looks more along the lines of a faster-paced Wu Long Dynasty or Black Myth Wukong, especially with the focus on one-on-one engagements, parrying, and a stamina bar.
Ninja Gaiden is frenetic, combo focused, mob focused (outside of boss encounters), and relentless in how the enemies pursue you. And, in the case of Ninja Gaidens 2 and 3: Razor’s Edge, focus a lot more on offensive gameplay rather than defensive.
Maybe in terms of the overall flair and flash, but I’m not immediately getting “Ninja Gaiden” from the gameplay shown here.
