So they ended up "tweaking" Brant one week before his release, and after people experience him in the story quest?

Now if you dodge midair you reset his air combo, making him do less damage, which, for a character that relies on mid air attacking, is just stupid.

They didn't even increased his mid air damage resistance a bit.

That's why I always write, wait for the release. The character can change a lot between the test server and the release. Although honestly, the fact that they cut his flights is not the biggest problem, well, unless of course we are not talking about a casual style of play. All jumps, all flights in 99% in this game should either be cancelled by a quick swap or a dash cancel, since all this acrobatics in 99% of cases are just a loss of DPS. And as far as I know, this is not his only problem, he has the same problem as Jinhsi and Changli, that is, while he is in the air and "flying" he is vulnerable to damage, that's why all flight animations are usually canceled on them to avoid damage, since on Holograms 5-6 and the Red Tower, well, this is death.

You know, I'm really pissed with what they did to that "Fantasy of the Thousand Gateways" Illusive Realm mode after a fucking WEEK of it being out.

First week I cleared 6000 points on a single run, no issue, but it was fairly challenging and the buffs had plus and minus bits that you had to keep in mind.

This week, I had a better selection and more cohesive buffs than last week, my team is maxed, and I cruised right through the entire thing up until the last fight. Then I was greeted with phase 2 Hecate as the final boss with something like 300,000,000 HP, and of course they throw a timer in there for 3 minutes. Worst part is, I beat it without dying, after like 10 minutes (even through her rage mode huge atk buff), and only got 4000 points for the whole run. The devs must have a fucking some kind of brain defect or something to design shit like this.

What the fuck is wrong with them? Now we have yet ANOTHER endgame mode that prioritizes fixed team DPS rotations and min/max echo farming over something fun and skill based. Ruined after 1 fucking week.

Honestly, I didn't have any problems this week. I can't say that I was really killing myself in collecting Echo or min-maxing my characters, it was pretty easy. Hecate at the end, if I remember correctly, I don't want to lie, there was about 30-40 seconds left in the timer. I would even say that this rotation was easier for me than last week, 6000 out of 6000 for me.

Whats a good ratio in terms of stats for a Sanhua sub-dps?
Everything is as usual 50 (min) - 150 (min) (As usual, more is only better). She does not have some kind of special build.
Or are you interested in some specific stat?

Just asking because I've been reading she is a good unit to pair with Brant eventually, so I'm starting to build her, bit by bit.

I don't quite understand how... but you can certainly try.
She just usually used with characters that have very fast attack speed - Encore, Camellya. The slower the attack speed, the less effective the buff is.

Well, via her outro, since Brant will really quite a lot on his basic attack damage output.

S6 Chixia could also be a nice option, I'm one sequence away from her S6.

The idea of her buff is not that it increases attack, but how many attacks DPS can deal while her buff is working. Actually, that's why Roccia was put so low in TOA, because when prydwen made measurements and- "Sanhua is a very very close second to Roccia in Camellya teams, so much so there's really no incentive to pull Roccia because she's too small of a DMG increase over the free glacio swordswoman." Camellya hits with such a speed that Sanhua's buff is comparable to Roccia's. If it weren't for Camellya's attack speed, the situation would be completely different. That's why the lower the DPS attack speed, the weaker her buff.

My wuwa bros, whats a good ratio in terms of stats for a Sanhua sub-dps?
Other than usual damage stats, Energy Regen is her stat dump if you want to use her Resonance Liberation often.

Here's a guide from a site I find helpful:

So there's a new endgame mode on the horizon, one without a timer finally (thank you Kuro).

BUT.

It sounds like they're custom tailoring it for Brant/Cantarella because you can't bring rectifier characters in with you and you have constant HP drain, so you need to roll these characters to survive, seemingly. Or use Youhu I guess?

Dunno, sounds like half of what I want, but some added bullshit to make you FOMO the new banner characters. They're so close to having a single good endgame mode.

I wouldn't dig that deep yet, a lot can change by the release. That's why the test server was made, to test new content and make changes based on feedback.

Plus, what's already written here raises a lot of questions, how can you, for example, make a whole mode around 2 characters, when, for example, Brant only buffs Fusion characters, and Cantarella only buffs Havok characters - Spectro, Wind, Ice, Electric characters are not needed in this mode? Information about flights, here we need to look at this live, absolutely any acrobatics up to this point in the game was detrimental to characters, because not a single character in the game has immunity from damage while in the air, so usually all flights were canceled either through a dash cancel or through a quick swap, since on high difficulties this almost always leads to unjustified damage from enemies. The next point is, what is so unique about healing of Brant or Cantarella? They do not have new mechanics, their healing works exactly the same as Shorekeeper or Verina. Also, the game already has content with arenas that continuously spend the player's HP in the Fantasy of the Thousand Gateways mode, and with the same frequency of 3% max HP per second, this is not a new mechanic for the game. We need to look at the traps.

So far, according to their description, it turns out that Camellya will be practically unplayable in this mode, since she has the worst mobility and movement in the game. And the only way she can deal damage is by standing still. Therefore, if there are zones with continuous damage, and traps that will constantly explode under her and she will need to constantly dodge them, I can’t even imagine how she should survive there.

I think they will test it now, collect feedback from players, make changes and everything will be fine.
If not, we'll be heading into Tier number 3 and a lot of characters will fall down.

Are they trying to achieve a new endgame mode per character release or what? Geez. :pie_roffles:

No thank you.

I basically gave up on the end game in WuWa and don't care anymore. It's just not for me and not what I want. In a way, it's even far worse than in ZZZ with its tower and DA.

Just decided to max out the other 2 skills of Camellya's that were sitting at level 6, and now I have her at level 10 across the board. 😎

Oh and I'm currently farming Changli's ascension mats so hopefully by the time her banner starts I'm done with that as well.

This is one of the reason I quit both Genshin and Wuwa. These started to feel like a job I had to do daily or miss out on pay. Also I hate Wuwa's health + shield mechanic for all bosses. It got so boring after a while. Technically every boss is the same fight with different moves and the end game mode bosses with their multi million health bars are even more irritating.

This is where I landed with Brant. Only using one ER echo, the other one is Fusion.

Missing 7% ER from weapon's level 90, so it's 260% ER.

Pulls were kind of iffy, 70 on him, 72 on the weapon. Managed to stay with 35000 astrites still.

Congratulations, you wanted him so much, I hope he will make you happy!

Don't want to spoil the party, but honestly 59% crit chance for him is very little (This is far below his minimum), he has no damage either from the skill or from Resonance Liberation (there is practically zero there). All his damage comes from auto attacks, so every time you don't have crit on him, you lose a huge amount of damage. Prydwen recommends "CRIT RATE%: 65% - 80%+" on him (keep in mind that this is without the standard values that are already on the character). Just with 59% crit chance you are actually playing in Gatcha 50\50, if you are lucky you will have damage, if not, there will be no damage. But considering that virtually all his damage is in auto attacks, any crit miss will hit his DPS brutally.

YLpWIwk.jpeg

Well, and unfortunately yes, equipping him is absolute hell, they wrote it straight out "High stat/gear requirements, due to needing Energy Regen and Crit Stats — one of the hardest characters to build in the game". In this regard, he is the most difficult character in the game.

I have a pretty good 4 cost CR for him too, downside is his CD goes a bit down the drain (around 230%-ish if I remember correctly). CR bumps into 70%-ish area, I think.

One thing that I'm not lacking his options for him. Just need the time to see what's better on him.

Very rarely I go above 60% CR on any character. Rule of thumb for me is 250 CD% 50% CR minimum and call it a day.

Brant is actually an exception for me on that regard :messenger_tears_of_joy:

I only watched one CC review on him so far, and at least that one said signature weapon + over 250% ER, you're good to choose a fusion echo if you're running tidebreak set.

Oh, in this game, collecting more than 70% crit rate is common, especially if the character does all the damage in normal attacks. In fact, you can look at it very simply: you have 252% crit damage, every time your character does not make a crit, consider that this number simply does not exist. I have already posted a video here, where Carlotta's ult shot miss the crit 6 times in a row (And it's painful). Here, some characters suffer so much from the lack of crit hits that some Pro players, in order to save their nerves, without jokes, collect almost 100% crit chance :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Oh come on, don't bother your head, the game is in a very strange state now because there are a lot of characters coming out and all of them are not in the first position, which is why it is not clear what is happening and where everything is going. For example, I have a situation as Jinhsi main, because of the second mode - WW. Because of how this mode is mechanically made, you actually have to forget everything you knew about Jinhsi and learn to play this character anew. That's why they gave her an up arrow and +2 expert. I especially liked how they delicately described it:

"Jinhsi - Expert tag changed (+2). To say the least, Jinhsi is difficult to make proper use of in WhiWa. It requires completely changing your usual playstyle to instead rotate fast with her on low stacks, typically in Dual DPS team comps. She practically necessitates that to perform so we're dropping her to T1.5 and adding Expert +2 to her — because the truth is, when you optimize Jinhsi in this gamemode, she's way up there as one of the highest performing units in the game (especially with Changli as her partner, as the team has some of the highest damage potential out there)."

Roughly speaking, in this mode you have to learn to play her from scratch, but if you pair her with Changli in terms of damage, this is one of the strongest groups in this mode.
Thank you Kuro - I love you, we were so bored sitting here :messenger_tears_of_joy:

So I managed to snagged my fiery wife in 60 pulls (won the 50/50), and I also was able to pull a 3rd Emerald of Genesis with just 20 pulls from the standard weapon banner, so I'll be skipping her signature weapon as I want to maximize my chances in getting both Shorekeeper and Cantarella next patch (have around 29k astrites leftover).

Oh and I've already leveled up my Changli and her skills. I just need some better stats on my Molten Rift echo set, which I hope to get done over the coming days and/or week.
