I doubt you're going to find much until the software is actually publicly released.

So, I noticed a fairly terrifying bug this morning. If you pull down on the home screen so you get the search bar and you search for a word - it shows you messages that have been deleted off of the phone. When you click on them it just takes you to the messaging page but that is awful when the messages have supposed to have been deleted (Yes I know, nothing is truly deleted, but still)

Reproduced this just now. This appears to be an indexing cache glitch with Spotlight (and only occurs if you have searching Messages enabled in the Settings.

You can purge the messages if you quit Messages and remove it from the task manager, that will update the search cache and the deleted messages will then no longer show up in search results.

I have quit messages and rebooted phone and there are messages from the original beta 1.

Hot damn, beta 5 is objectively so muchhhhhhhh better in battery life it's not even funny.

My iPhone 5 overnight from 100% went to 90% in 9 hours. With a 5-10 minute usage (web browsing). This is insanely great. I did the test on purpose because beta 4 in the same conditions would lose at least 40%.

Ship it guys, 'tis ready!

Yelp. That's pretty bad.

So which of the most popular apps is still incompatible with beta5? I recall Instagram was totally buggy in beta 1.

BBC iPlayer is still broken (they've probably updated the root certificate or done something that Playready doesn't like).

Probably not going to get fixed until the GM tbh.

I'd pay $120 just for smooth scrolling and general system animations. My Late 2012 Mac mini is a crawl at 1080p.

Don't tell Apple that, please

But yeah, $20 or, who knows, $10 may end up to be the price.

Frankly Apple doesn't need to drop the price any more than $30, their adoption rate is staggering. If they do drop it I would think they'd just go free rather than $10 or $20.

I'm thinking about getting the beta 5 in my iPhone 4 (currently with iOS 6).
Can anyone report how stable is it, and how does it perform?

Fairly stable, performance isn't where Id like it to be from what ive seen.

Lots of new GPU driven elements in iOS 7, so you should expect a decrease in performance.

I'm currently running a JB version of iOS 6(.0.1 I think), which doesn't run very good.
Mostly because of the (few) jailbreak tweks I have installed, but now that most of these functionalities come built in with iOS 7 I don't see a reason not to upgrade. Except for terrible or buggy perfromance, that is. :p

I think I'll try it out this afternoon.

I'll have to take a look at how to copy game save files in case something goes terribly wrong. :/

Anyone else experiencing great battery life on beta 5? I'm just amazed how I end up consistentelly with 50% after a 16 hour day (iPhone 5).
I'm not giving it much use because I'm not working, but I'm still using it. Calls, texts, small time browsing and even a bit of voip.

Under the same circumstances on beta 4, my phone would always end up #dead at the end of the day.

experiencing the opposite :p

beta 5 sucks down power more for me on the iphone 5. I rebooted a few times in case it was some rogue process but it still eats power more quickly. left work the last two days with under 50% left and I was used to having over 60-70% left.

Well I guess every handset + setup and use case is unique, and beta 5 really caters to mine. I even forgot that I also stream music over bluetooth (with iCloud involved if the song is not local) on my car everyday, still with those great results.

It's just a shocking departure from beta 4.

I hope they don't ruin it for me while fixing it for others in subsequent betas and eventually GM.

Apple is going to make sure that every user messing with this beta will have at least 2 builds that nearly brick their phone or ipad.

Just to deter us from jumping in early next year :p

ain't gonna work

My phone kept shutting off when it was around 20% or lower, I would have to force turn it on, power+home button. After awhile I realized that it kept shutting off because it was trying to connect to cellular for data. I turned on airplane mode but then it would still shut off.

BETA FOLKS. :/

Ohhhh have you seen the detailed cell data usage stats in settings? Down to how much the various OS services consume. Very Impressive stuff. I don't think it was there before.

I consumed 3.1MB of cell data using Siri over the last month. Music, 454MB. Heh.

I wish they would go the extra (and final) mile and instead of giving us the stats from since an arbitrary reset, we could filter (maybe even check visually with a graphic) last day, last week, last month, etc. And complimentary wifi stats would be neat-o.

Skype now works for me, and Instagram is back to full-working functionality, but there are a few apps that still refuse to work for me. The main one I'm annoyed at for not working is Phoenix Wright HD. For some reason, it just refuses to load at all on my phone (the screen goes black for a split second, then returns to the home screen) but loads on my friends phone, which is also loaded with iOS 7. I really wanna crack down and get to business in court, urgh.

Reinstall sometimes works in those cases, however I can't be sure for your data so don't follow my advice and then blame me for losing your save :p

Just tried this and it didn't work. I really hope the app gets fixed soon, I don't want to have wasted money on an app I can't use.

Yep, this is a cool addition, and yep, it's a shame that the period start is arbitrary and we can't get monthly stats or something.

BTW, I finally installed b5 on my iPhone 4 and it has been working great since yesterday night. Better than in my jb iOS6. A few minor bugs here and there and slightly worse battery life, but just slightly. Can't see myself going back now.
I had been trying the beta in my iPad, but having iOS 7 on my iPhone makes me notice plenty of things I hadn't recalled before. I appreciate the animations and the general flow much more in the iPhone.

Guys,

I have a developer account, how many devices can I get on the iOS 7 beta and how do I register them so they can use it?

Any dev having some problem with Push notifications in your apps since iOS7 ?
The device seems to send a new and different APNS Token for each app now, that's really strange.
